Senator, I wonder if I might ask a favor of you. New Republic Intelligence requires the sum of 5 million credits rather urgently for an operation currently in progress, of a classified nature. However, I would prefer not to involve the Economics Council at this point, and thus I would be appreciative if you could authorize an appropriation of 5 million to New Republic Fleet Intelligence, from the Defense Ministry's discretionary fund, and then authorize the transfer of those funds to the NRI? You have my word that I'll include 5 million credits for the Defense Ministry in the next budget, so it will only be a temporary loss.
Let me know as soon as possible, and again both myself and Intel would be much appreciative.
