Senators, to honor the proud heritage and history of our New Republic, I propose that a Committee on New Republic Monument Preservation and Promotion be established. As the name suggests, this committee would distribute funds for the maintenance, property fees, security and so on for our New Republic monuments, but also to find ways to promote and advertise them to the public. All funding recommendations would be submitted to the Economics Council for final approval. As the New Republic approaches its 13th anniversary, I find this a fitting way to honor where we have come from.

I vote in favor, and furthermore I nominate my good friend Senator Cul'utaan Forte to chair this committee. It would be located in Senate Subfloor B, Auxiliary Room 12 and would convene twice weekly for three hours.

I most wholeheartedly vote in favour of this motion. Our monuments are there to represent those who have fought and died or otherwise struggled in the cause of the New Republic. These are indeed things that must be guarded and kept in the best of conditions.

As such I believe Mr Forte is qualified (from his defense council experience). And while he has shown himself to be against many of my policies I believe this to be a good step towards showing my government to be an inclusive government of all the talents. As such I would not object to Mr Forte being granted the Honor of heading the committee with not just the custodianship but also the duty to promote such auspicious monuments.

I see no issues with this Co0mmittee. I would prefer that the chairman not be a direct and close friend of yours for the obvious reasons, but other than this and with the stipulation that a different chairman is selected, I vote in favor.

For once, a Committee had been brought together for something that will assist New Republic morale in a large way. I vote in favor completely.

Ambassador Stomwell, my good fellow, if you knew the history between myself and Senator Forte you would know that in referring to him as a "good friend" I was being somewhat facetious. I apologize, however, that my sarcasm was not pronounced enough. Now, with these votes in favor I ask that the Chief of State bring this measure to a close.

This motion passes, unanimously.

Senator Cul'utaan Forte is appointed Chairman of the Committee on New Republic Monument Preservation and Promotion.

I have also had the key to Senate Subfloor B, Auxiliary Room 12 forwarded to his office, and a table with several chairs placed in the respective room. I have organised refreshments be provided by internal-catering.

Should any other resources be required, please inform the Economics Committee and they will be more than happy to review and fund where nessesary.
