| In addition to the various criminal counts already outstanding against Darwin Sky for the atrocities he has committed on Bothawui, Neimoidia and Kashyyyk, I also strongly propose that the government include three counts of terrorism (to be included in the bounty for his arrest), as defined in the following sense: "criminal acts, including against civilians, committed with the intent to cause death or serious bodily injury, or taking of hostages, with the purpose to provoke a state of terror in the general public or in a group of persons or particular persons, intimidate a population or compel a government or interstellar organization to do or to abstain from doing any act." It is my hope that with these charges, the government can sentence Darwin Sky more severely (when he is, in fact, apprehended), and that he may be tried in a tribunal if it is necessary to see that justice is done. | I favor this resolution, because the crimes of Mr. Sky transcend mere crimes committed against any one planet, and are indeed murders with no apparent benefit but to inspire fear in the public. However, I would call attention to the fact that the Chief of State has still not assured us that Mr. Sky will, in fact, be tried in New Republic courts. From the office of the Chairman,

| Once again, I do believe that Darwin Sky should and will be tried in New Republic courts, as I have (again) said, and as I intend to do. But for now, I intend to give the Jedi and the brave peace officers of the Republic all the support they need to capture Sky in the first place. I expect Representative Loran to do the same, and I would ask that he not turn this into a political issue before the suspect is even arrested. For now, I agree that this measure is indeed providing support to our peace officers and our courts, and I support it. And with the Senate having apparently spoken its peace, I declare the vote closed. The measure passes, and Darwin Sky's warrant will be updated accordingly. Eli Fitzgerald
