It has been some time since I have been in here, largely in part to the imposed exile, if we may call it such, that was placed upon me by Chief of State Gavrisom. Regardless, I have returned from Baltimn with several thoughts, the first of which is to query the Senate about its feelings of Baltimn joining the New Republic.

Our world has no major factories or such that can produce ships for such purposes as might be needed; indeed we are quite 0off the beaten path, one might say. I would hear the Senate's thoughts on this, as well as conditions, and in turn lay down some conditions that were asked of me to be brought forth before I can truly make a full application.

I vote against allowing Baltimn to enter the Senate, until Mr Stomwell apologises in the strongest possible terms for his racist language against Hutts in general and me in particular, if he is not willing to do this then I announce officially then I will begin legal action against him.

I will withold from voting until Senator Tiure has his apology, however, should Mr Stomwell refuse to give a public apology for his words, I will be inclined to vote against.

If Mr. Stomwell will enlighten me, having previously said on the 16th of November that "being a member of the New Republic also includes fancy visas and passports to go along with arguing Senators, corruption and a plethora of problems," and that he has "no need to slander the Senate and the New Republic..." because "... it is doing well on that manner of its own accord," I wonder exactly what circumstances have intervened to change his mind?

Senator Tiure, I do most humbly apologize for my hasty and unseemly words. I let my own personal feelings get in the way of my professional ethics, a matter that won't happen again. As such, Senator Tiure, I hope you accept my apology.

Senator Cambrist, it was simply some personal reflection time, no more and no less. A man is capable of changing his mind, after all.

Honorable Delegates,

I am thoroughly concerned that these racist and humanocentric views we have seen espoused by Mr Stomwell are in fact widespread on Baltimn (for would they have not otherwise recalled a racist ambassador?). As such I would like to propose a Commission be sent, headed by myself in order to discern if racism is widespread, and also if such beliefs are taught at "the school of hidden wisdom".

The last thing we need is a group of racist trained force users out there.

If necessary, Senator Tiure, I am more than prepared to step down from my position as Ambassador, allowing a better candidate to represent Baltimn in the Senate. However, the former School of Hidden Wisdom is no longer a training school as it once had been. It is instead a home to Duke Cale of Baltimn, formerly of the Jedi Order and as such, is his private residence and not a training area. By all means though, send whomever you need to Baltimn. I cannot guarantee Duke Cale will be amenable to letting people traipse about his home.

I am in favour of Senator Tiures proposal, and further propose expanding the powers of sub committee to judge Baltimn's suitability to be part of the New Republic on all counts. As for Duke Cale's wellbeing, I am personally concerned that a semi-trained force user is in such a position of authority. Perhaps we could send a Jedi Deputation to help investigate Mr Cale on this subject.

Senator Kruus, perhaps you mistake me. Duke Cale is a former Jedi Knight, fully trained in the Force and unneeding of a Jedi Deputation. His resignation from the Jedi Order was accepted by Master Skywalker and to date, there have been no problems with Duke Cale in the ruling form; indeed, it is the government of Baltimn that does more. Duke Cale often prefers his solitude. Otherwise, as I mentioned previously, send whatever committee you need.

I am inclined to allow Senator Tiure's sub-committee to go and investigate Baltimn's suitability and racial attitudes. As such it seems logical to table this motion until such a time as the sub-committee reports back.
