Lights and holocamera’s were broadcasting as he walked across the centre aisle, heading up towards the podium. Once situated, Lancer evenly spaced his sheets apart, then glanced carefully at the audience assembled before him. Since the reform of his party into the PCCC, Lancer had been busy building a case by which to attack the well liked War Vetern Orion Karath. His recent blunders in the Senate had allowed him just the opportunity to open up on his esteemed colleague.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, if you would be kind enough to take a seat, we will begin these proceedings. Firstly, I’m only here to illustrate several points that I will be bringing to bear in session in the following week relating to Mr. Karath and his defamation of the true Corellian standard. While I rally behind Karath for his remarks on sentients rights violations which Mr. Fitzgerald of Ralltiir clearing pointed out, we must not forget the recent problems that have been plaguing our dear Corellia and her sister worlds.

This is not to say that the esteemed Mr. Karath has not gone above and beyond his call of duty—but really? To allow rights to droids? What next? Shall we round up all the trash collecting droids and start paying them wages? The obvious failure on Mr. Karath’s part to see the fallacy in granting rights to Droids is but one marginally small fallacy compared to the administration he has done with the Five Worlds.

The Coruscant Journal stated that quoted Mr. Tiure of Dantooine as saying that Mr. Karath was only interested in allowing “Corellia to butcher people”. A Very interesting statement coming from a Senator whose own resolution would benefit the most from it. Needless to say, Corellia for Corellians, this is what the Progressive Conservative Correlia for Corellians stands for, and why we cannot allow this stain upon which Corellia is currently enthralled be allowed to continue.

Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen, you will be permitted into the Open Session of the next House meeting when the opposition is allotted it’s time to present questions to the leading party. Until then, Corellia for Corellians.”

Before turning to leave, a reporter would rise and call out to the Cabinet member, asking his opinion on the Two Worlds referendum.

“The referendum? It’s a farce. If a family member decides that he wants nothing to do with the family, that’s fine—but to allow that same family the same privileges now that he is no longer a member is ridiculous. If the Twin Worlds decide to leave the Five Worlds fold (which is something that a united Corellia should never allow), then the debt which they have incurred should have to be paid back in full. The trade connections established by the Five Worlds should be abolition, and they should have to fend for themselves. Let them try and survive on the tariffs and duties that Corellia doesn’t have to pay because of our agreements, and let them pay us back in full. I don’t know about you gentlemen, but when slapped in the face—I have little room for niceties. The fact remains, we are Five Worlds, not Three, and we should protect the independence of Corellia, not the morality of a frail Republic.”

Whether another question was asked or not mattered little, Lancer escorted himself out of the room and towards his vehicle.
