Shortly before he had departed for a personal mission to see an old friend in the Outer Rim, of which he had made a pit stop at a planet occupied by the Caamasi Remnant, he was working with a NRI agent on several missions in the recent years. Despite a small tension between the Jedi Academy at Yavin Four and the Republic Senate at Coruscant, he began to develop a good friendship with a NRI agent known as Mira Naeva. There were several missions where the Jedi had helped the agent out of tight spots, while other times she had returned the favor. Ironically enough, she was more of a friend than any of the Jedi at the Academy. Perhaps it was due to his unusual sense of respect toward those that do not wield the Force like he does. This time he was needed once again.

Only this time, he wouldn't tell Agent Naeva what he needed her for. He had only transmit the coordinates of where she was to meet him. A x-wing starfighter had emerged out of hyperspace, "R2-D9, transit the landing clearance to the docking authorities right now." Jaden spoke with a jaded tone, as although he didn't really need to command his droid friend. The droid beeped as the landing clearance was being transmitted. Within a minute, an automated tone had indicated that he has been granted and was instructed to land on the Docking Bay number eight. "Thank you, sir." A simple response coming from the Jedi. Jaden would have his x-wing steered into the atmosphere of Telos IV casually. A couple of minutes later, the x-wing has landed. The Jedi had climbed out of the x-wing and climbed down the ladder provided to him by the docking authorities. "Stay with the ship, I'll contact you when I'm ready to leave." The Jedi issued another order toward his droid friend.

The Jedi had set out of the docking bay in his usual black robes and the boots to go along with. He had left his blaster pistol under the pilot chair of his x-wing, he almost never felt the need to use it. He was merely keeping it in case something happened to his lightsaber. This time, as almost every time, his lightsaber was attached to his belt and its color was blue as is the way of the Jedi Guardian. Jaden had walked down a street, turned right, turned left, and finally reached the local Cantina where he had instructed his friend to meet him in. The man would walk into the Cantina and sat in the corner as to be away from the patrons' eyes and ears. A twi'lek waitress would come over and asked him if he wanted anything, "Water would be fine for now." He wasn't planning on staying for long, unless the Force had decided to put something funny in to prolong his day.

Mira was not thrilled about being pulled away from the job that she was trying to perform on Telos IV, but when she noted who the communication was from, she was less irritated by it. For the day, at least, she pulled herself out of the business office of one of the more notoriously corrupt mining companies on Telos. What was her job there? To find out where the corruption was, and stop it. How was she accomplishing this? She went straight for the CEO and found her 'in' during one corporate party, with the use of a silk cocktail dress and Corellian champagne.

She walked into the cantina, clad in a knee length white dress and heels, with a small purse clutched in her hand. Yes, she was out of place, but she hadn't the time the change and she definitely did not care. Mira scanned the cantina for a moment, finally locating Jaden skulking in the corner, as usual. She approached him, sliding easily into the shadows as she did, making herself markedly less noticeable.

"You only call right when I am in the middle of doing something, Jaden?" She murmured, setting the small clutch down on the table. A rhinestone on the clasp glittered in the dim lantern light and Mira brushed her fingers through her long blonde hair. "What is it this time? Crisis on Coruscant? As long as I don't have to go anywhere that requires a snow suit...." Her words trailed off as she eyed the Jedi.

"It's been a while though, hasn't it?"

The Jedi would chuckled and nodded at Mira as she was dressed in some kind of sexy dress. No doubtedly, she was here on Telos IV for some kind of undercover work. "Perceptive as usual. Yes, I do have a tendency to call you at somewhat wrong times. I apologize, however." The Jedi cleared his throat, "Why am I not surprised you're wearing this...outfit? Anyway, no it doesn't require you to wear a snow suit. Heck, it doesn't require you to go anywhere." The waitress came and place a cup of water on his table, and asked Mira if she wants anything to order. "I'll get right to business...as usual. It was only a little time before I contacted you that I found out about your undercover work."

The Jedi would lean back on the chair and crossed his arms, "You see, I was investigating a small smuggling ring in the deepest reaches of the Outer Rim when I witnessed a number of smugglers working to unload some sort of mining deposits. I had to enlist the help of a local planetary force to apprehend them. That's not important, but what's important was that one of the smugglers revealed that they were hired to transport a number of illegal mining deposits. Apparently, it came from this planet. The smuggler had told me of a front on Telos IV, of which no doubtedly where you were working undercover."

"Mira, this CEO is obviously wealthy and has enough spare money to have the planetary officials ignore the threat. Look, I have evidences of a smuggling ring made by the mining corporation. You probably have some evidences of illegal activities. There should be enough evidences for both of us to enlist help of the Telosian security force to storm their base of operations. Unless, of course, you're not done with the undercover work. What do you say?"

Jaden would keep his arms crossed, sporting a small and evil grin. "It'd be an excuse to work together once again."

She removed a small, palm-sized datapad from her clutch and laid it on the table in front of her. Mira leaned back in the chair and crossed her legs. The waitress asked what she wanted, and she shook her head, indicating that she wanted nothing for the moment.

"Funny how things work out, isn't it? Here I am, up to my eyeballs in undercover work in a corrupt mining company, and you waltz in having followed a similar trail." Mira quipped. It was odd how it had happened. How he had just stumbled upon the same thing she was already deep into.

"You're right. He is wealthy. Wealthy enough that finding the evidence is not as easy as you think. I am working on it, though. But aside from wealthy, he's dangerous. Dangerous enough that those who cross him, are either found dead or not found at all." Mira noticed a small light blinking on the datapad in front of her. It was just a reminder.

"There is a corporate dinner tonight. Dimitri is schmoozing all of the big wigs in Telos and even some that are coming from Coruscant and Corellia. This problem isn't just on this planet, Jaden. From what I have seen, it is going much further. Anyway, I have to be there. I can distract him long enough that if you maybe wanted to sneak in and poke around....?" It was a thought. And with a big party, not only Dimitri, but the security will be focused on other things. There were times that a partner would come in handy, as her own presence would likely be missed.

The Jedi nodded and stared into her eyes for a moment before speaking, "Yeah well, the Force works in mysterious ways." Jaden would look at a datapad that Mira had tossed out onto the table. "Don't worry, I won't let him hurt you. Just work your beauty, it has worked often in the past."

"Oh, and don't worry about the guards. Leave them to me. You could disable the security systems without them noticing that it was disabled. I know a hacker here on Telos IV where he could do work on the cameras and make the watchmen think there's nothing extraordinary going on. Now, I'll have Telosian security forces standing by about a mile away from Dimitri's place. They're just in case I find more evidences, and then they could storm his...palace. If there's anything else I need to know about Dimitri or his place, the time is now."

"Please be careful. I don't want a repeat of the incident at Naboo. You know I worry about you, and you have a tendency to get in trouble at the wrong time." Jaden chuckled once again, "The burden on me is not to ruin all the fun for you."

"You know damn well that I can take care of myself. That incident on Naboo was....a fluke." She eyed him silently for a moment. These things often didn't end up well, but she had never gotten hurt. That fact was not entirely credited to Jaden. Some of it was her. She was, after all, hired by the NRI for a reason.

Mira pursed her lips for a moment. "It's just a mansion." She murmured as she tapped her perfectly manicured fingertips on the datapad and brought up a schematic for him to look at. "This here is where the dinner will be held tonight and the adjacent ball room. The men will likely retire to the study for drinks eventually and to talk business. Here." She pointed to the room briefly before lifting her finger from the shimmering image.

"His private offices are upstairs, here. His bedroom, here. Guest quarters and an entertainment area are all in this wing." She sat back, leaving the image between them for the moment. "I can disable the security system for the upper levels because they will be the only ones on with all of the guests on the first floor." Mira stated before she reached forward and tapped the datapad and the image dissapeared.

She toyed idly with a Corellian diamond bracelet on her wrist for a moment before she reached forward and swept the datapad off of the table and back into her clutch.

The Jedi would sport a friendly grin at Mira...perhaps too friendly. He would shook his head off, as focusing on the details Mira's providing for Dimitri's mansion. He would look around the small blueprints, listening in to the beautiful voice coming from Mira. "Uh...this should be easy. If this fails, you better hope I'd save your beautiful butt." When Jaden was around Mira, he has a tendency to speak unlike that of a Jedi. Perhaps it was because they have gotten comfortable with each other by saving each other's butts over the years.

"As long as you work your beauty around Dimitri and his buddies, I should be fine." The Jedi would then look into Mira's eyes once again, winking once at her. "Hmm...let's make this interesting. Whoever butt gets saved this time gets to buy dinner. Deal?"

She watched him for a minute and nodded. "It's a deal. Now I need to get back before I am missed....and I have to stop and pick up my new dress." At that point, she was practically dating the criminal. Get close to find the information she needed. That was the plan and it was working so far.

"If you don't find what you need, Jaden, do not engage. There are going to be innocent people there after all and it's not worth the risk unless we have what we need." She requested, though it was obvious. "I'll be fine and contact you after, if that is the case. Otherwise, see you in there?" Mira asked as she reached for her purse and started to stand.

"And don't worry, everyone will be distracted by the party. I don't think that you will have a problem getting in and out." Mira offered a smile as she smoothed the white dress absently with her hands, and eyed him momentarily. She wouldn't admit it, but she was a little nervous about him doing this, and a little nervous about being in that cantina with him.

Moreover, she was nervous about Jaden getting caught. That could be disastrous for both of them.

"Oh, don't worry. I'm not going to engage unless it's absolutely necessary." The Jedi would simply nod at his beautiful NRI friend, before slowly walking away. He was not a man of many words, but it was different around Mira. He just felt comfortable being around her, so that he was able to be himself. Which is strange, considering he should be this way with his Jedi comrades. The Jedi wouldn't admit that he was nervous about Mira getting into trouble little bit too early. As much as he'd love to keep rescuing her beautiful butt, he figures he may not be there someday to do that.

Jaden would walk out of the cantina first, allowing Mira to casually walk out of the place without attracting much attention. As he was walking away from the cantina, he grabbed his comlink. "R2-D9, meet me at the Telosian security headquarters. I'm gonna need your assistance." All the Jedi heard from the droid was a series of beeping. The Jedi would set out to gather some support from the Telosian security forces.

Mira sighed and glanced over her shoulder at him for a moment before she climbed into a shiny black speeder that was waiting there. She settled into the backseat and turned her attention to her datapad, virtually ignoring the droid driver that sat in the front seat. When he didn't start the speeder, she finally looked up.

"We still have to pick up my dress. You know where the shop is. I gave you the address this morning." He nodded stiffly and a bleep emanated from the machine. Finally the speeder pulled away from the cantina and sped off down the street. Mira glanced out the window and saw Jaden as they passed, and then she turned her attention forward finally.

It didn't take long for them to return to the mansion. Mira climbed out with her purse in one hand and the garment bag containing her new dress in the other hand. A maid immediately ran out and took the bag. "He's been asking for you, Miss Naeva. In his office." Mira simply nodded and headed inside while the rest of the staff readied for the dinner.

The Jedi would watch Mira for a moment while he was walking away from the Cantina, making sure she left without any inconvenience. Jaden then kept on walking and walking, memorizing the blueprints of Dimitri's estates that his good friend Mira had shown him. Only after a while, he finally got to Telosian security headquarters. "Ah, on time as usual." The usual calm tone coming from the Jedi. "Dwooo Dwooooo." R2-D9 beeped.

Both the Jedi and the droid came inside the building, as a receptionist at the front desk greeted both of them. "I need to see the Captain. Tell him a Jedi's here to see him. He'll know what I meant." The receptionist would simply nod and do what Jaden had told her. After a couple of moments have passed, the lady had allowed them in. The Jedi was walking through all the officers and desks while the droid was following behind. Finally, he knocked the door and heard a familiar voice. "Come in." The Captain said.

The pair got inside the office, R2-D9 would put himself against the wall and waited for further orders. Meanwhile, Jaden bowed but didn't went ahead and sit down. Jaden likes to get things over with, immediately. "Thank you for taking your time and see me. I'm sure you know why I'm here, as I've left a message for you before I came here. I'd like for Telosian Security Forces to have a task force stand by about a mile away from Dimitri's estates. If you do not have many men to spare, then I'll want every available officer. You might want to have a search warrant stand by should I and my contact inside gathers enough evidence."

The Captain would nod, "I'll see what I can do, but it's going to be cutting it pretty close." The Jedi nodded, "Just do what you have to do, I expect backup to be ready by the time I'm inside his estates." Jaden and the droid would walk out of the office and then a few moments later, out of the headquarters. This is when he have to go find this hacker that needs to do a favor for him. "R2-D9, contact the guy and have him meet me right away." The droid beeped. The pair would walk away from the headquarters and toward the hangar bay where they would wait until the dark.

Mira did not go to Dimitri's office until she had readied herself for the party- changed into her dress, fixed her hair, and makeup. He didn't like to be kept waiting, but she also liked to maintain that distance that made her all the more desirable. "I couldn't come down here just whenever you asked, you know." She started as she walked in. Her gaze swept over the man for a moment. He was handsome, and he looked good in a suit, but neither of those facts made him a good person. "You know, it's a girl thing." She charmed him over with a smile and sat herself upon the edge of his desk. Upon a glance outside of the window, she noted speeders arriving.

"I doubt that you need to spend all that time dolling up, or whatever it is you do, Mira. It is not needed in your case." He complimented as he reached for her hand, which she did not pull away even though his touch made her skin crawl. She was very good at hiding her repulsion by now. "Especially since I saw that your driver took you into town for most of the afternoon. Not the best part of town either." He was suspicious.

"The dress shop is not in the best part of town, and there was an alteration that had to be done while I was there." Mira explained absently, acting as if it were no big deal. "The neckline didn't sit where I had wanted it to." She traced the manicured fingertips of her free hand along her collarbone, pointing out what she meant.

"Ah. Well in that case...." Dimitri abruptly released her hand and opened a desk drawer from which he pulled out a slender box. He showed her a dazzling Corellian diamond necklace laced with rubies that laid inside. "You'll need something to show off that pretty neck then." He murmured as he stood and walked around her to clasp the bauble at the back of her neck. She touched it lightly with her fingertips and sighed.

"Thank you." Mira said simply before he moved away.

"The guests are here. Come along now." There was a moments pause before she got up and followed him and the party began.

Way before the party was starting up, he had to meet a hacker by the name of Dak. It was to call in a favor, as the Jedi had saved him from the Hutts once. After meeting Dak, he headed out to meet with the officers from the TSF. A couple of squad speeders were already at where he had instructed the Captain to have everything ready should he be able to find enough evidence on Dimitri. "Hello, men. I trust you have everything ready?" The officers would respond with a lot of nodding. "Just be ready to move in when I tell you to." The Jedi would walk away from the squad car and carefully walk in a maze as so that nobody would be suspicious of Jaden. The Jedi was worried about Mira, perhaps tad bit too much. He worries more about Mira than any of his Jedi friends, and that could be problems with the Jedi sometimes.

Jaden would let out a light sigh, knowing that by now his hacker friend had probably working to infiltrate the security cameras at Dimitri's estates. It took the Jedi a while to get to the estates, but he didn't want to attract attention as to ruin his and Mira's plans. Jaden would finally get to the estates, and carefully used the aid of the Force to help him get over the wall. Even though the cameras would be affected, he doesn't take a chance by moving in the shadows until he could get inside the estates himself.

The red silk gown she was wearing hugged her form then flared at the knee and pooled into a beautiful crimson train behind her, and she was still wearing the necklace that was clasped around her neck by Dimitri in his office earlier. She mingled, and chatted politely with corrupt politicians and business men. Mira had been with Dimitri for several weeks now, more than that, near two months. In that two months she had managed to gather a good deal of information not only on Dimitri, but many others in the room. in her hands, Mira held a crystal glass that was filled with a sparkling and bubbly champagne. She took a drink now and again, but barely a sip as she wanted to stay on her toes.

Dimitri moved across the room and plucked the glass out of her hand, replacing it with a new one as he put the now warm glass of champagne on a nearby waiter droid's tray. "You haven't drank much." He commented as he raked his gaze over her. "Do you not like it?" He held a tumbler glass with some ice and a caramel colored liquid which he drank from once and a while.

"No, it's perfect. I just want to keep my head, you know." She covered as she shifted her weight slightly to put herself a fraction further from the man. He simply nodded as if he accepted that as an answer. Before he moved away, he rested his hand on the back of her arm just at her elbow, squeezing lightly before he flashed a grin and moved away. Mira visibly relaxed when he walked away from her.

Once she was sure that he was engaged in conversation with someone else, she slipped from the room and up the stairs to the second floor. The mansion had one room where all of the computer systems that monitored the house, and that controlled the security system were held. Mira slipped into the room and to the console. It took her a couple of tries before she was able to disable the security system on the second floor, then she slipped back out and started down the hallway to go back downstairs to the party.

She had glanced down to the floor for a moment when she heard a voice, "What are you doing up here?" Dimitri's familiar voice called out. He had just reached the top of the steps and was on the landing, looking down the hallway at her.

Mira thought quickly and held up her hand, in it a tube of crimson lipstick. "It came off on the glass and I just wanted to touch it up a bit." She smiled as she moved towards him. Without a moments hesitation, she slipped her hand into the jacket of his black suit and dropped the lipstick tube into the inside pocket of the jacket. "I don't have pockets, you don't mind do you?" She asked, lingering a moment as he shook his head. Dimitri took her around the waist with his arm and the pair walked back down the stairs. Silently, Mira wondered where Jaden was and what he was doing.

When he was moving in the shadows, he saw Mira in one of the windows. It must be the hallway and that she had disabled the security systems when Dimitri came into his sight a few moments later. Perhaps Dimitri knew something was up, Jaden slowly reached for his lightsaber. But he didn't take it off the belt when everything between Mira and Dimitri seems to be alright as both of them were going back to the first floor where the party were at.

The Jedi let out a light sigh of relief, before using the Force to aid his jump to get on a small porch where it would lead to inside the second floor. His hands had grabbed ahold of the stones that acted as the bars to prevent people from falling over. Jaden would quietly climbed over and finally got inside, looking left and right to make sure nobody was around when he get inside Dimitri's office. The Jedi took about ten steps before turning left into Dimitri's office, where he hoped that Mira had disabled the security systems.

When he walked inside, nothing had happened. Jaden had assumed that his beautiful friend had done this simple task. He'd grab the comlink from the belt around his waist, and started to speak quietly as he'd go over to open the drawers of Dimitri's table. "Stand by, men. I'm looking over the documents at the moment." He had figured that he would be able to get enough information from the documents to get to Dimitri, but he doesn't want to put Mira in unnecessary danger just yet. The Jedi simply want to see the documents for himself just to be safe. He would need to use his lightsaber, most likely, when he has to deal with Dimitri's men. All wealthy and powerful men always tries to make an attempt at escaping.
