It had been two months they were stuck on their ships. Two months since the ceremony that transferred three different commands at once at Bandomeer. Two months that he had spent writing his memoirs, when not overseeing operations. After leaving Bandomeer, they headed for Terminus. There, they secured the world, set up an Interdiction Station, and established a Forward Operating Base. Here, supplies would be ferried from across the New Republic, and the galaxy really, to support the exploration of the Rishi Maze. From there, they went, through subspace, taking cautious microjumps, towards the system. They were scouting out a second hyperlane into the galaxy. The first one, originating out of the planet Rishi, came out to uninhabitable or space worlds known as the Rishi Rift. They needed worlds that could be colonized. Eventually, the Rishi Rift could be made into something, but not with terraforming several of the worlds, and he knew the Senate wasn't ready to begin pumping out credits for such a project. They wanted something viable. And he was taking a big risk to give them just that. Slowly, they came upon a system at the edge of the Rishi Maze. A gas giant held the outer orbit, and showed high amounts of helium and tibanna, perfect for mining. Eventually, their slow pace came upon a world about the size of Corellia. It was lush, inhabitable, oxygen based atmosphere. Perfect. A few worlds lay in between, each with pretty good amount of resources to be mined out. It was at this point he was raised. "Admiral Nadia." said a voice in his room. He was asleep but easily awoken. "What is it, Lieutenant?" he answered back, with an excited voice returning, "You're going to want to see this, sir." responded the man. He quickly made himself presentable and placed his uniform on before walking onto the bridge, with a perfect world staring him straight in the face.
His jaw dropped, and he just stood at the doors, paralyzed. Throughout the Resolute, the crew pressed their faces to the viewports. After a moment of awe, he came up to the viewport fully himself. "I'll be damned..." he said to himself. Captain Kirahe, a Duros and commander of the ship, approached him. "Sir, what shall we call this wonderous discovery?" asked the man, who secretly idolized Nadia. "Disperse it through the Fleet and our civilian element. What ever gets suggested the most, wins." he said, smiling. An hour later, after he had been to the refresher and taken a hot shower, he stood back on the bridge, now drinking a caf. One thing he enjoyed in his brief time working for Chief Fitzgerald, was the caf his office had. It rivaled Navy brew, but nothing he had had, could compare to the good ole' sailor specialty. The tally came back, and he had to laugh at the winner. Ganja. He then went down below, to prepare for the excersion to the planet. A company of Marines, along with himself and a team of scientists would go down in a group of transports, under escort from the always reliable and elite Rascal Squadron.
An hour later, he stood at the doors of his Lambda, a team of Commandos and some of his staff at his back. When the door opened, he wasn't sure what to except. When he stepped out, it seemed to be a regular terrestrial world. Around them, two Sentinels and several GR-75s had landed as well in the clearing. "Readings appear to be normal. Air is breathable." said one of the scientists. All were nerveous to take off their helmets however, so Nadia did, and he proudly, and secretly nerveously, took in a deep breath of very fresh air. The others did too afterwards, and they rejoiced. Within three hours, a prefabricated citadel was being built on top of a hill that overlooked the clearing, where the scientists and civilian element began constructing a walled city, with the engineers helping, of course. On the other side of the hill, another team of engineers began clearing out massive amounts of woodland. Two days later, a massive warehouse complex was up. As well as a colony with 1,000 people, all working on studying the planet, seeking to colonize it. The Fifth Battle Group would colonize a moon to the Gas Giant as well, but this was primarily a military facility due to the harsh jungle conditions throughout the moon. By the end of the week, the planet was named Ord Ganja, for it was being used as an ORD. And the system was named the Ma System. They were able to scout out a hyperlane back to Terminus, naming it the Perseus Hyperlane. As they scanned the surrounding area, they found it to be a large star cluster, which by vote of the battle group, was named the Nadia Cluster. A nebula surrounded the cluster, and as named the Perseus Veil. They would plan to spend the next month exploring the cluster.
