Jaden had left the YT-1300, recently named the Jedi’s Luck, to Mira and R2-D9 so that he could make the trip to Nar Shaddaa to help a friend out. A mechanic that goes by the name of Eli Kandar needed another favor. A couple of years back, Jaden had helped Eli by investigating a series of ship hijacking that was hurting his business and had put a stop to that. The perpetrators were a low-level Hutt crime lord named Ghoota Nalluda which was and still is working for the Hutt Cartel, and the strained relationship had been carrying for a couple of years now. The Hutt had agreed not to hijack his clients’ freighters if seventy percent of the profits go to the Cartel once a month. That was shortly after Jaden left Nar Shaddaa and resumed his Jedi duties. The business had slowly been going downhill, and the Hutt were demanding more credits from Eli’s mechanic shop. It had come to a point where Ghoota threatened to break him if the mechanic didn’t bring the profit the Hutt wanted. That was when Eli had decided to contact Jaden about the troubles, not being able to find a way out of this. The Jedi Knight went ahead and left his…lady friend and droid so he can help one of his friends out. The Jedi showed up at the shop, spotting Eli doing some mechanic work on some kind of shuttle. “Eli! I’m here now.” Jaden would approach the mechanic as the guy stopped fixing the ship and turned the attention toward the Jedi. “I’m glad you’re here, I have no one else to turn to. Ghoota’s going to break me if I don’t pay up.” Eli spoke in a worried tone. The Jedi would let out a light sigh, giving out a light nod as well. “I’m going to try and find a way to get you out of this mess.” Jaden placed his right hand on Eli’s left shoulder.
“You sure about that? Pay up, human.” An unfamiliar voice suddenly came out of the shadow. However, it wasn’t that unfamiliar of a voice with his mechanic friend. Eli seemed to cringe in fear little bit. A Trandoshan came out along with two Niktos and a Weequay, four thugs in total were coming into the shop. That was the moment Eli spoke out in fear, “Kradossk, I wasn’t expecting you here so early!” Clearly, Eli was referring to the Trandoshan which seems to be the leader of the four. “Pay up, or Ghoota say I break you. I take pleasure of breaking human bones.” Jaden would raise his eyebrows at Kradossk, “Excuse me, you better tell that fat slug of yours that Eli will pay when he has the money.” The Jedi threatened, sensing that the thugs were getting tensed up. “Do not speak of Ghoota like that. Maybe we teach you and your puny friend a lesson.” The thugs were about to draw the pistols when Jaden had immediately hold the command of the Force and launched an attack toward Kradossk. It was a push in the Force, sweeping Kradoosk off the ground and hitting the nearby wall really hard. The Jedi Knight drew out his lightsaber and activated it, a blue glow coming to life. “A Jedi!” A thug replied with anger. Jaden was defecting blaster fire, returning the fire toward them. Two were taken out by their own bolts, while the third one was being decapitated by Jaden’s lightsaber. By the time Kradossk had regained consciousness, and were about to grab his own blaster when Jaden pointed down at the Trandoshan. “Go back to your fat slug and tell him that Eli will pay when he can. If he doesn’t like that, too bad.” Jaden would then let Kradossk go, the Trandoshan fleeing from the shop.
Eli would keep up his panicky attitude, “What are we going to do?! Ghoota will send a lot of muscle down on us!” The Jedi would shook his head, reaffirming. “I’m the one they would send a lot more, because I’m a threat to their operations. Ever since that fat Jabba met his deserved death at the hands of Master Luke, the Hutts have been wary of people with Force powers and lightsabers. They will go after me hard. I’m going to have you hidden out at a friend of mine. His name is Jalus Niuv, a Sullustan. He will keep you safe for the time being. Now, if I don’t get back, have Jalus contact this frequency. Her name’s Mira Naeva. Simply tell her that I’m in trouble and she would most likely come here to help out.” Jaden would instruct Eli, as the Jedi Knight would get out of the mechanic shop and headed into the crowded streets to get himself lost.
