Their sworn enemies, House Mercetti, saw to it that they were destroyed during the early years of the Empire, but many of Pelagia were kept alive thanks to House Cadriaan. BIOGRAPHY

A highly decorated New Republic officer, Nadia is a Clone Wars veteran and former Imperial Officer. He was born into Tapani nobility on Pelagon, capitol of his house's province. He grew up to serve the family, and had his family's morals drilled into him heavily. At the age of ten, he began learning martial arts, and studying warfare. At the age of sixteen, he noticed that the Republic was in need of good officers, and lied about his age and submitted, and was accepted, at the Raithal Academy. He quickly proved himself to be an excellent naval commander, and was rushed through his training.

By the end of the year, he was commissioned an Ensign, and served onboard the Venator Star Destroyer Guarlara as its Weapons Officer. When the ship was called away from the boring duties of protecting Coruscant, he proved himself to be exceptional in combat situations, and was quickly promoted to Lieutenant, and given command of the Carrack Light Cruiser Perseverance. His actions at the Second Battle of Coruscant were legendary, taking over absent positions as needed until someone could replace, and helping in engineering by keeping the ship together as it took on the Invisible Hand. He would later be given the Emperor's Will in honor of his actions that went largely unnoted.

In the battle he was injured, and his ship was taken in for repairs. Once he healed, he volunteered for assignment to Cato Neimoidia, and was sent there. En route, Order 66 was issued. Although he never had to kill a Jedi, he knew his roots, and that his family was being killed. He believed Palpatine's message, at first, though and was given the honor of overseeing the surrender of Cato Neimoidia by the Seperatists. He declared his loyalty to the Empire, at the time believing it to be the rightful Republic, and proceeded to serve in the Imperial Starfighter Corps. The Navy soon found out about his forged records during the Clone Wars, and he was ordered to attend Prefsbelt IV Naval Academy, full time. After the four years of training, he returned to his squadron, which was at first flying the ARC-170, and once the TIE Fighter came into use, his squadron was one of the first to fly it. He later found out he unknowingly helped in the Great Jedi Purge several times with them.

Main operations throughout this time was nothing but putting down insurrections and dismantling the unorganized rebellions formulating throughout the galaxy. Soon, he saw the Rebels as getting more organized, and more tactical. His promotion to Major in the Starfighter Corps marked a turning point in his life, in which he assumed more responsibility by taking command of the squadron he had served in for his entire fighter career. His rise didn't affect either his personality, ego, or skills, still flying as he had to earn the rank and position.

Nadia in his 20s and early30s

He was selected by Lord Vader himself to test the TIE Bomber in its final stages of development, and was awarded for his service in the program, and was one of the pilots selected to test the TIE Interceptor, and was present at the Battle of Turkana, where he was able to down a few of the new X-Wings, immediately returned from combat, and issued several reports detailing Rebel starfighter superiority and the need for shielded, heavily armed craft. His squadron later conducted full squadron testing and combat testing for the TIE Interceptor, and thus became one of the first squadrons to transition to the TIE Interceptor. He became a recognized Ace, and considered one of the Empire's best, as was his squadron, which was transferred with the Imperial Star Destroyer Vengeance under Captain Mordon to operate in Operation Strike Fear, at times throughout the operation serving aboard the Imperial Star Destroyer Invincible. In this operation, Nadia and his squadron performed exceptionally well, and were chosen to fly the first combat deployment of the Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wing Gunboats, setting an example to all future Assault Gunboat pilots. Nadia himself began to note the organization within the Rebellion... the will to fight. They were growing bolder, and stronger.

Jade, his only daughter who was born during this time.

After the Battle of Orion IV, and a brief period of test flights with the TIE Advanced x2 by Nadia, the Vengeance was assigned to Lord Tion's forces in the Subjugation of Ralltiir. En route to their next assignment, Nadia was transferred into Capitol Command, becoming a Commander in the Imperial Navy and given the role of Tactical Officer of the Vengeance. He was, after the blockade was no longer contested, ordered onto the surface and helped herd together death camp prisoners and carry out executions. After a week of this, he became disgusted with his service in the Empire, and requested to be transferred and gave his resignation as an Officer of the Empire, both of which were denied due to his "Legendary and loyal service to the Empire."

He was soon pulled out after Princess Organa's visit to Ralltiir, with the Vengeance being assigned by Lord Vader to follow her to Kattada. After failure, the ship was closely watched by Vader, following him everywhere he went, and even participating in the Battle of Alderaan just before the planet's destruction. Afterwards, he was assigned to be part of the landing force in the First Battle of Yavin IV. In the scramble to return to the Death Star after readings of a sudden increase in Rebel activity, Nadia slipped away from the ground force quietly, and forged his way through the forest. When he reached the Alliance base, he was arrested and questioned by Intelligence. He proclaimed the will to defect to the Rebel Alliance, unable to stomach the duties he was being assigned and the actions of the Empire. After the begining of the Blockade of Yavin, he gave vital information to the Rebellion, including his work with S weak points in Imperial blockade formations and operations, allowing continued Rebel operations. His defection was accepted, and served as a tactical and strategic advisor, until the day before the Third Battle of Yavin IV, which he was commissioned at the rank of Lieutenant and put into Red Squadron as Red 4, to reinforce them after their losses from the Battle of Yavin. He was trained that day, and following morning as the Imperial assault began, by Sarkli on the X-Wing.

He entered the battle questioned about his loyalties and intentions, and gained high respect by nearly passing Wedge Antilles and Luke Skywalker on the kills chart. Although he had several hours left in training, he was certified in the X-Wing following the battle, and did not need to finish the training. He was soon after assigned to a mission to recover scientists on Ralltiir. He requested that he be allowed on the mission, after completing Y-Wing and A-Wing certifications, and was so. He felt it being a chance to redeem himself for his earlier actions. He was shot down during the mission, and linked up with the Ralltiir Resistence through Eli Fitzgerald. His actions among the Ralltiiri showed his classified training on Yavin as a SpecForce Officer, and gained quiet a reputation among the Ralltiiri. The heroic and selfless service on his part helped Ralltiir a lot in their struggle against the Empire, however after two months of fighting on the planet, he returned to Yavin IV after being picked up by a Rebel scout team. He returned just in time for the Fifth Battle of Yavin IV, with his actions allowing several transports to escape to Hoth, and now flying as Red 3. He was then part of Rogue Flight, a division of Red Squadron, and participated in the Battle of Ison Corridor.

Nadia, during his days in the Rebel Army

He proceeded to be one of the founding members of Rogue Squadron, participating in the Battle of Barkhesh and following battle, including the Battle of the Rebel Fleet for which his service in he was awarded the Corellian Cross, and served until the Battle of Thyferra, taking a brief hiatus from Rogue Squadron. He instead focused on service in SpecForce, participating in the Battle of Restuss and several special operations afterwards, including several missions in which he served with his cousin Zanthe and the Pelagia Freedom Force. Once Echo Base was completed, he was transfered into the Army and served as a Major on General Rieekan's staff, during the Battle of Hoth, he helped coordinate Rebel forces against the Imperial ground assault, even joining the fight within Echo Base. He helped personnel get to the Bright Hope safely, and then boarded the transport himself. After a traumatic struggle to rejoin the Rebellion, he rejoined the Starfighter Corps, being reinstated as a Commander and forming his own squadron of defected Imperial aces, named Blackheart Squadron. They Blackhearts dealt especially with special operations, usually in conjunction with SpecForce, and were usually called on matters of Imperial defection when things were considered risky, needed special attention, or involved high value targets, and Rogue Squadron wasn't available.

Colonel Nadia

The Blackhearts soon became part of the Defiance Task Force, based out of the Jericho, and Nadia was promoted to Colonel. Soon, he decided one of his own could command the squadron, and took a role in Fleet as a Captain, and commanding officer of the Jericho. After a massive crew transfer between Defiance and Liberty, he, along with the Blackhearts, were moved to the Defiance, with Nadia taking direct command of the Defiance, acting as the Executive Officer of the task force, under Admiral Nammo. With it, came a reorganization of the task force. He acted more as Tactical Officer to the Blackhearts than anything at this point in time, until having the Defiance Task Force being mustered with the rest of the Rebel Command Fleet for the Battle of Endor. He was transferred to the North Star, and given a Brevet Admiral position with command of its task force. Operating alongside General Karath and his Army forces, Nadia launched a deceptive assault against the Sluis Sector, which ended up liberating it in decisive victory over the Imperial forces.

Nadia's Rebel Alliance Starfighter Corps Uniform

Throughout the Nagai-Tof War, Nadia was promoted to a rank called Fleet Captain, similar to the Empire's Captain of the Line rank, only serving in the capacity of an Admiral with a Captain's rank. He didn't last in the rank long, as he was made a Commodore just before the Liberation of Kashyyyk, during which the North Star Task Force was made part of Ackbar's Fleet. He was able to oversee the formal liberation of Ralltiir, which was a defining personal moment in his career, feeling as if he had redeemed his soul for his actions several years ago. Many members of the resistence remembered him, and a statue was emplaced in his honor on the planet.

Much didn't occur worth noting until the First Battle of Coruscant, which Nadia performed exceptionally, taking on three Star Destroyers at once with the North Star under his direct command and winning in the fight, with the North Star[i/] Task Force quickly being redeployed to aide liberate Tapani Sector. The [i]North Star Task Force then took on Admiral Drommel at the Battle of Tantive V, decimating his fleet. Afterwards, Nadia returned to securing Tapani Sector.
He was later promoted to Rear Admiral for his actions at Coruscant and Tantive V, as well as planned and lead the New Republic in the Fourth Battle of Kuat, leading to his promotion to Vice Admiral. Still serving under Admiral Ackbar, he continued service into the Thrawn Campaign. At the Battle of Bilbring, he led his task force like had in the past... greatly. He was able to outmanuvere a Star Destroyer with the North Star and heavily damage it, and despite taking heavy losses, took his Task Force in full pursuit of retreating Imperial forces.

He was soon caught defending Coruscant in the Fourth Battle of Coruscant, and later actually leading the New Republic forces in the First Battle of Mon Calamari, under direction from various commanders from Pinnacle Base. He was unable to join any fighting until the Battle of Duro, mainly because of being involved in reconstruction efforts on Mon Calamari. There, he was able to take command of the Second Battle Group under the lead of the North Star, and take out the Chimaera and a host of other vessels from Thrawn's Armada. Later on, with his new command, he responded to the distress call from Mon Calamari during Daala's assault, now commanding the First Battle Group, handing it off to Ackbar, and resuming command of the Second Battle Group. He proceeded to fight in several battles in the Outer Rim, defeating Pellaeon a few times, becoming a thorn in the side of the Imperial Admiral, and rival. He proceeded to engage Pellaeon several times in an operation to contain him, which ended up in the North Star being heavily damaged, and Nadia ramming a newly arrived Star Destroyer, destroying both vessels, and escaping to an escape pod just in time to avoid being killed.

After the Battle of the Maw Installation, and further operations against the Remnant, Nadia gave his retirement to the Chief of State and Admiral Ackbar. A gathering of old friends, including Orion Karath and Ackbar, was done in a banquet in his honor. Afterwards, he built a personal estate on the Manarai Mountains, and along with his home on Fondor, tried to relax and do some hunting. After a short time however, he became restless and became a military advisor to the Fitzgerald Administration, shortly after going on a hunting trip with the new CoS himself, being given the official title of Counsel to the Chief of State on Naval Affairs and Strategy. Over time, he saw the New Repulic back on a collision course towards major conflict with the Remnant once more, and resigned from his post after the Vjun Conflict, taking on his military rank once more, and was given command of the Fourth Task Force.
