Request of Pirates

I would like to request that a pirate organization known as Lumini Pirates be indirectly under control of Darth Acheron. The Lumini Pirates' base of operations is on Rathalay. The ranking officials within the organization would be under the influence of Darth Acheron because he used mind control on them. The pirates would be performing missions for him, the missions that includes hijacking ships and supply convoys, kidnapping, terrorism, and combat. The purpose of this to get to the next step of Darth Acheron's plot. I'm hoping to have this approved so that once Darth Acheron-Am Rev RP wraps up, my character can start committing bigger crimes all over the galaxy. The pirates used an Immobilizer 418 cruiser, but I'm not sure if the management would approve of me having that. So that'd be the only request I have for the pirate forces.

Thank you for taking your time and read this.

Darth Acheron

It is my (albeit limited) understanding of the Force power 'Mind Control' that it is not something that is usually able to hold sway over a person for an extended amount of time. Correct me if I am wrong but I would have to assume that given the limitations of said power your Pirate leader would need more coercion than a simple mind trick.

As for the Immobilizer you are correct, I am NOT comfortable with approving that since it can be proven (again unless I am much mistaken) that these were in short supply even during the height of the Empire. One would assume thus that the Republic would control the larger amount of these not destroyed during the war.

Then I'll remove the mind trick and that coercion would sway the pirates to work for me. If you aren't comfortable with the Immobilizer, then perhaps a different warship under your recommendation would be better for the plot of the rp? I am fine with whatever ship you would be comfortable with me taking it.

For the record, background information on the pirates can be found here. It seems that they're sufficiently ambiguous in the canon that it would be okay, theoretically, for Acheron to have his way with them (without causing any continuity problems, that is). I agree with Jory, and with Acheron's clarification I vote to APPROVE, but on the condition that Acheron's meeting with and coercion of the pirates is RP'd out.

Well, after reading the information on the Pirates (thanks Jace) I am forced to concede that they were already in possession of an Interdictor cruiser. That said, and with the Mind Control removed, and with Jace's stipulation that the event be RP'ed (possibly with Management involvement) I will APPROVE this request.

Looks like the request is APPROVED, pending the plot being RP'ed out.
