| There is very little information about what happens to the Hutt Cartel (also known as the "Hutt Empire") after Jabba's death, and absolutely no information about it throughout the New Republic era and into the present. I request that my character, Njon Anjiliac ("Njon the Hutt") be in charge of it. I think it would be beneficial to make it a major player in the RP especially now that the Republic and the Imperials have made peace with each other. I can think of half a dozen ways to play them against each other already. It would also be good to have a criminal element in the RP, to keep smugglers and bounty hunters busy with jobs. Not to mention, more criminal activity means more for the Republic and its intelligence people to investigate. All of that, and the Remnant has to get its slaves and the Republic has to get its spice from somewhere! I request that the Hutt Cartel's boundaries encompass what is generally considered "Hutt Space." It would also need to pack a punch, however, to defend itself. So I also request the following: - 1 Lucrehulk-class Freighter (Anjiliac's flagship, and headquarters; I would rarely use this in battle) - 2 Dreadnaughts (I would also rarely use these, except when I'm attacked with superior numbers and need to defend myself) - 2 Marauder-class Corvettes - Various Z95 Headhunters and V-wing Starfighters (Nimbus-class)

| I would like to point out -- for the record -- that the Hutt Space is a pirate and smuggling haven, thus it can be inferred (much like we do for planets) that a large amount of unlisted vessels would similarly act as defenders for Hutt planets. I'm not entirely convinced that the Hutts require a flotilla considering this point.

| This is a good point, and I'm also assuming that some gumshoe freighters could be scrounged up for defense if need be, however it's also true the Hutts did have a surprisingly large armada at least around the time of its clashes with the Zann Consortium in, I think, around 3 ABY. In any case, in addition to defense I'm also planning to be fairly aggressive and attack the Republic and the Remnant on occasion, which have much, much larger fleets. Note also that the ships here are all either somewhat old or embarassingly old models that the Hutts shouldn't have too much difficulty buying/salvaging.

| Bearing in mind that I can't vote on this (they's the rules, conflict of interest and all that), it looks like the rest of management has voted the way it's going to vote and, thus, I declare the request APPROVED. Jace Varitek
