I would like to request the formation of the Corellian Military Forces, consisting of an Army, Navy, Starfighter Corps, and Marine Corps. Organizationally, training, doctorine, etc. it would very similar to the US Armed Forces, with some obvious differences due to it being in the realm of SW. Unless I am mistaken, the only branch needing any detail in the request would be the Navy, if not, I can provide detailed information on the others. It is a bit ambitious, but for the arguement in favor of this request, I give forth the recent legislation put forth in the Senate if there is questions on economic viability, and on other respects, Corellia being a Core World and major power, lying on an important trade route, the abnormally extremely high amount of smuggling out of, into, and through the system, the large amoun of populated bodied, and evidence suggesting Corellia may have been a military and police body for its entire Sector, rather than just for its own system and world. Also, these are all light ships, with the exception of one.

The Main Fleet
Modified Thranta Warship (Updated)
4 CR90 Corvettes
2 Corellian Gunships
3 Assassin Corvettes
2 CC-9600 Frigates
1 CC-7700/E Interdiction Cruiser

((Commonly operates in splintered units, generally in anti-piracy and anti-smuggling operations, however are combat ready. They are the main offensive and defensive force, being backed up by the Squadrons in defense only when absolutely necesarry.))

The Squadrons
Far Star-class Pocket Carrier
1 Corellian Gunship
2 CR90 Corvettes

((There are six squadrons, organized by two into a fleet. These are anti-piracy and smuggling vessels primarily, or first responders in the case of attack or emergency while the main fleet mobilizes. They patrol the entire Corellian Sector. They are used only in defensive actions or non-combat scenarios (i.e.interdiction missions), and can only be used in defense per management approval of their activation.))

Thranta-class Warship Vital Stats
Length: 845 meters

Weapons
4 Dual Heavy Turbolaser Turrets
4 Heavy Ion Cannon Turrets
6 Triple Light Turbolaser Turrets
8 Quad Turbolasers
24 Turbolasers
12 Point Defense Laser Cannon Batteries (5 PDLCs per Battery)
12 Ion Cannons
2 Warhead Batteries (Each consisting of 10 tubes, with a capacity of 50 warheads)
8 Tractor Beam Generators

Vehicle Compliment
6 Boarding Pods
72 fighters
15 shuttles
10 Dropships

Crew: 1,775 (plus 236 gunners)
Ground Compliment: Marine Regiment [4,340 troops with 100 tanks and 45 artillery guns, plus various other vehicles (i.e. Humvees and trucks for troop movement purposes)]
Passengers: 3,100
Cargo Capacity: 14,000 tons
Consumables: 3 years

For the purpose of proportionality with other, comparable planetary fleets (Brentaal, Neimoidia, etc.), please limit yourself to either A.) 1 capital ship and 3 or 4 support craft, or B.) 5 to 6 support ships (that is, corvettes, gunships, etc.; again I suggest the IPV-1 patrol craft, a splendid little ship). Either of these formulas would give you more ships than either Brentaal or Neimoidia, thus Corellia's needs are taken into account. Also, more than doubling the length of the Thranta-class, and in some cases more than doubling its weaponry, are rather drastic modifications. If you'd like to add some firepower, that's fine, but perhaps not as much as you have and, again, the additional 495 meters are somewhat quixotic.

Thus concludes one of those rare posts from Jace that are actually concise, and to the point. One more point though, as we talked about in Messenger, since the model of tanks and artillery that you're requesting is as-yet unspecified, I'm not going to comment on the ship's compliment until after that's sorted out.

After some discussion...

Thranta is being dropped in favor of an original design (still holding the same stats), after some confusion due to another model holding the same name as well as issue over the age of the design in question, named the Kor Vella-class Battle Cruiser.

Fleet composition would now be:
Kor Vella Battle Cruiser
2 Assassin Corvettes
2 Corellian Gunships

Okay, disregard my last message. I've talked with Karath for several hours about his fleet composition and design and we've come up with the following tentative numbers.

- 1 Kor Vella-class Warship (custom design, see below)
- 2 DP20 Corellian Gunships
- 2 CR90 Corellian Corvettes

Note to Karath: I changed the Assassins to CR90s since I realized the former also have missiles, which are already plentiful in your fleet. I think CR90s balance things out much more fairly. Now, the Kor Vella-class would be essentially the same statistics that Karath has already proposed, with some significant changes to the weaponry, namely:

- 24 Heavy Turbolasers (16 of these are "Quad Turbolasers," which I'm assuming are considered "heavy")
- 24 Light Turbolasers
- 4 Heavy Ion Cannons
- 12 Ion Cannons (NK-7's, one assumes)
- 60 Point Defense Guns
- 6 Missile Tubes (8 missiles each, 48 total)

As for the compliment, I'll reserve judgment on that until Karath has devised his custom designs for the tanks and artillery (although, really, really, after all of this it would be very nice to just have some standard, Star Wars tank designs. There are many to choose from).

Okay, the compliment is reduced to 832 troops. I vote to APPROVE. Let's assume one month to build, but since this request has taken some time, bump its completion to 28 November? (my birthday).

I'll vote to approve, but mostly only because I didn't have to deal with it.

A few days have gone by and thus, without further ado, the request is APPROVED.
