][ General Statistics ][

][ Height ][ 6'
][ Sensor color ][ Red

][ Weapons ][

  • 1x Whipcord (attached under left wrist)
  • 1x Monomolecular-edged scythe (replaces right hand)
  • 1x Quad-blade (tip of tail, assists greatly with balance factors)
  • 1x Punching blade (head-mounted)

][ Armor ][

Due to the nature of the droid, armor is sacrificed for agility and speed. EMP shielding in thin plates are placed over the primary brain sensors mounted in the thighs.

I actually don't have a problem with the large amount of weaponry on the machine, as I'm sure other managers will have reservations, but I will stress that I will permit one of these to be used within RP, perhaps as a prototype which becomes discontinued or some other. Before I officially cast my vote however, I would like you to create one flaw with the droid, which can be exploited. I think a give/take scenerio is fair, considering the weaponry.

Lack of any real armor for a combat droid is one flaw. Loss of the tail resulting in horrendous balance is another. There's a good 3-4 more, but I'd rather not quite reveal all in the OOC section so typists aren't tempted to accidentally use it.

No worries, I just wanted to have an idea of at least some flaws in the design of the droid.

Vote: APPROVE

Respectfully, I vote to DENY for the same reasons I've already cited. However, since the request seems on track to be approved I would simply note that the whipcord, I find, is the most objectionable part of the request. I know that Maximov is well intentioned with this, but I really don't see any possible counter that, let's say, Andoven Ryner or, perhaps, Aricia Carson or Simon Bok could have against such a weapon (apologies to those typists, for singling out their characters as being vulnerable). It's one thing if Indiana Jones uses it, but it's something else entirely when it's used by a combat droid that is programmed to wield it with precise, deadly efficiency. No one stands a chance against that, except Jedi.

I know that Maximov previously mentioned that this weapon could not be removed from the design because it is pictured; however, the cord in the picture could be anything, really—it could be an antenna (of the wire variety, like on a stereo), etc. You are supremely creative and could, undoubtedly, think of something. To clarify, I'm personally not comfortable with the request at all, but with the whipcord even less so. If the request is approved, as it may be, I ask the other managers take this into consideration.

With respect, the issue of the Whipcord is relative to what? The ability for the droid to use said cord compared to a human? or the cord itself? As I recall, Bounty Hunters usually have the whipcords as standard issue, though I can see your apprehension if it's towards the fact that a droid, comparable to a human, can use the cord with more efficiency. Although respectfully, I also disagree that it presents that much a disadvantage.

The former, as you said, is correct; it's not the cord in and of itself that I object to.

Well, my vote stands, so unless management would like to add any other adaptations to the request?

Consider this:

( APPROVED )

Notes: You have willingly disposed of the whipcord, and following that move the request has been accepted by management.
