Hey gentlemen, I just wanted to open up a thread here to get your thoughts on Shiva's role in the Alurion Declaration RP, now that his typist has deployed to Afghanistan. From what he told me, he expects to have some internet access and to be able to post. But he wasn't sure (if you do see this, Shiva, feel free to prove me right or wrong here). If that's the case, you guys might want to come to some arrangement about the posting order, or the time limit on posting (possibly extending it, etc.). If it's not the case—that is, if it turns out Shiva isn't going to have internet access or much time to post, which seems understandable to me—you might want to consider making a decision about how you want to "write him out" of the thread in a way that won't be injurious to his character or to yours. Again, I hope it's not necessary. We'll see. But it's good to plan for these things just in case.

If I may add, depending on where Shiva gets sent to, he may very well have internet access. Also depending on his mission, he may have a lot of time to post or none at all. Being here myself... I figured I'd let you know based on experience.

Still in transit. Not much time to get on net; net crappy at that. At my FOB I should have good net.

Here's my big question.

HOW IN THE FRACK ARE YOU STILL ALL CAUSING DAMAGE TO MY SHIP WITH THE FRACKING THING IS GONE AND OUT OF TOPIC?

Frack is a Battlestar Galactica word.

Sorry for the obvious observation, but I felt it needed to be made. On to business, from what I've read, while he seems to have completely misunderstood your move, all Shiva has done is a follow-up on your defense of his attack.

Caps Lock is cruise control for cool.

But on a more serious note, I felt Adam acted accordingly with the protocol of turn-based ship battles, it's not entirely feasible your ship could have escaped completely unscathed in one post, and all things considered the damage wasn't too terrible.

Also Jaron, good to see you back on the Management team, mate.

Thanks, buddy. And yea, the damage isn't terrible, and completely capable of being repaired at Dantooine, so consider it already fixed.

I also concur. It's okay in this case, but ordinarily a retreat is going to be 2 or 3 posts (at least 2, usually). Need to get in position, calculate the hyperspace jump, etc. It seems possible, even probable that there's going to be a few dings to the paint job in that time. And it seems like all we're seeing here are, indeed, a few dings. As the K's said, the damage doesn't seem too bad.

Jamie's rebels had followed their orders, intercept the ISD, help drive it off then leave. They didn't have no interest in rescuing rivals for the title of "Raioballo Sector Liberators". Thus they switched off their communication to Shiva's men and continued their hyperspace victory party.

"They Didn't have no interest" *Cough* Double Negative *cough*

Quote (Shiva)
I think he put that intentionally.

'Tis my understanding of that line as well.

Yeah Jamie, I believe the correct wording would be "done got no interest"
