Thanks, Jace! Ali, the point is, as Jace noted above, the brass of the Empire are completely clueless in regards to the character. And this change is being as of Monday, only two days ago. There were still questions before the change, and there are even more questions after. I was holding off until the end of Alurion to start this, but recent events kind of forced me to step up. At an OOC level, and definitely IC, is that no one in the Imperial leadership was aware of his standing as an Inquisitor. There are no secrets to Palpatine, and by extension Pestage. Thus, when Hines was expressing worry about the character to Pestage, Pestage, had he known, could have brushed Hines off, rather than express concern, as well.
Just as you can't have an Inquisitor running around the Outer Rim flailing their arms and legs to gather up Rebels, neither can you have the entire Imperial leadership, including the Director of Imperial Intelligence (the technical overseer of the Inquisitorius) and the Grand Vizier (the eyes, ears, and voice of the Emperor) in complete darkness about the operations of an Inquisitor.
