| Why has nobody opted to run Holowan Laboratories or Holowan Mechanicals? Added (28 Mar 2009, 6:18 Pm) --------------------------------------------- Haha... I also misspelled corporations...

| With the exception of Kuat Drive Yards (and the Corporate Sector Authority, which is really more of a government, and a significant galactic power), I believe all the corporations in the RP are original, noncanon corporations, which explains the lack of many prominent companies the likes of Holowan, Incom, Tenloss, etc., and even Kuat Drive Yards has rather a limited role. At one point, canon corporations were more commonly played in the RP, but it was discouraged when some continuity conflicts arose and it's been generally decided that having an original company allows the CEO more freedom and creative license anyway. | It's just that certain aspects I was hoping to pick up (ie Holowan Mechanicals) for the products they produce. Is it possible that, at some point in the future, people with wealth and/or means and influence can subsidize certain smaller companies? After all, being able to produce and corner the market on assassination droids has to be useful as hell (not to mention a double-edged sword) in the political arena.

| If the corporation is sufficiently small, as you say, that it doesn't have much of a responsibility in canon, there's a possibility that having either some influence or control over it could be considered in moderation if it's prudent and necessary for a plot. So yes it is possible, but it's traditionally discouraged and I think there will be some hardy skepticism. Jace Varitek
