| So, landlord comes by today, saying I've not payed my rent when I am sure I sent her a check for the amount due, anyways. I have 3 days to move out, and blah blah blah, life sucks at the moment.
Anyways, Not sure if Im going to be able to post as much as I used to, but I promise I will, from work if I have to. and so forth.

| yeah, that's right. you have to have a thirty days' notice before being officially evicted.

| In California at least you can be evicted on 3 days notice if you haven't paid rent. However, during this 3 day period, opportunity must be given to pay the rent that's past due (by the end of the 3rd day).

| The letter reads.
Notice of 3 days to quit.
Then it goes on about me not paying my rent for this month, which I DID.
Says if im not out by 3 days, from now which will be the 21st, legal actions can be taken against me.
As jace knows, I already have money problems, so I donu I'm sure something will happen.

| It seems to be a bit different here in So Cal, Jace. When I was at my apartment I was more than three days late on the rent on more than one occasion, I also recieved a notice similar to what Chuck received, but it stated that if my overdue rent wasn't paid (with late fees added on) within three days then I had thirty days to get the eff out.
When exactly do you pay rent, Chuck? First of the month?

| It depends on the rental agreement. But the law is that a landlord can evict you in 3 days if its in the agreement and its what they choose to do. Baird, you can get a record of the check that you sent at your bank or credit union, surely? And if you sent the check and they didn't receive it or otherwise haven't cashed it or deposited it, the money should still be in your account, no?
