Let me see if I follow...

English Muffins = Crumpets

Cookies = Biscuits

Chips = Crisps

Fries = Chips.

I forget what you call the American biscuit.

They look relatively similar, it was hard to tell the difference when they were covered in butter.

What do you call a biscuit, then?

We don't have them. We have a dish which resembles them called Scones, while they resemble the American biscuit, they are a much heavier dough and sweeter.

A crumpet is a cake made from flour or potato and yeast. It is eaten mainly in the United Kingdom, but also in the nations of the Commonwealth. In Scotland, the term is used for a large thin teacake, made from the same ingredients as a "Scotch pancake".

An English muffin is a round, yeast-leavened bread enriched with butter and milk, often served at breakfast in the United States and Canada. An English muffin is cooked on a griddle, so that the first side cooked tends to be flatter and firmer. Cooking on the griddle causes a spongy interior with many air bubbles. English muffins usually have a white floury band around the circumference and have a bit of grain meal loose on the outside.

They differ from the crumpet somewhat, in that the dough is usually drier to start with, so that a muffin ring is not required to hold the batter's shape, although one is often used, particularly in home cooking.

Well, but suppose you encounter a biscuit (the American biscuit). You wouldn't call it a scone but wouldn't apparently call it a biscuit. Would the world explode?

Well I might just call it a little bread roll or something.

Idk, the way to find out is to take any number and divide by zero.

You British people still confuse me with your weird names for food and always throwing in a "u" when its not needed in a word.

Technically, the words that have u's in them is the correct form of spelling, seeings as we do speak "English." We've just taken out the u's because we want to be different.
