Economies of Scale

or

Why the Core is the most Important Galactic Region

1 FSCV (the biggest model) can only carry 2 days worth of food for a world such as Alsakan or Imperial Center.

Compare this to a planet such as Lianna with a similar population to Earth (a little lower but oh well).. the same quantity of food would feed such a world for 1.16 years! Quite remarkable.

Then take a world like dantooine... one FSCV full of food could feed Dantooine for 21,729.4386 years!

Now a lot of worlds in the millions are rather in the middle of this scale.. but it makes you realize why the Core is the powerhouse of the Galaxy, and why the likes of Ordan deride the liliputian rimward worlds and their pompernickelesque aspirations.
