In this request the magnitude of the request is indeed an order above anything we have seen.

The idea of a planet having two very large capital vessels (Victory-class) would make it surpass any other fleet presently in the RP by half.

Empress Teta has a population of 1.3 billion and is never mentioned as being a massively militaristic world in this time period - I just don't think it should have a massive fleet.

I accept as a deep core world it might be fairly wealthy and well resourced, but the 2 massive capital vessels I dont see being practicable.

Again, we are going to see an escalation of capital ship numbers if it goes through (as it only seems fair to keep all worlds proportional), resulting in less practical to rp battles with huge numbers of ships and massive OOC disagreements - It would be better to nip this in the bud now and keep the Empress Teta fleet at least in scale with the rest of the fleets.

I am not sure how to read the request but it looks like the number of Victories may be down to one? still leaving it as a hugely powerful fleet. I do think management needs to consider the wisdom of this and the proportions involved. I think that many cardan stations as well as a VSD allow attack and defense easily and simultaniously - something we normally strive to avoid.

Just some thoughts.

I've been on the mend the last couple of days and I'm scheduled to have some minor surgery done tomorrow, so I haven't been around much due to that. I'll look at the request when I'm in better shape and we'll work something out.

Sorry! I said I didn't know much about all this! =(.

Could you help me come up with something reasonable? Sleek and pretty is what I want? Maybe just the consulars and the fighters?

Would the fighters, maybe two stations, the consulars (which they were saying were really like corvettes?) and then the medical frigates that are unarmed be reasonable?

Don't get me wrong Avadrie, I am not by any means bitching you out or attacking you for your request. Your original request was very very moderate, I just think it's wrong for people to assume a battleship based approach is the best.

Look at Alsakan, undoubtedly the most effective fleet in the RP and one based around small vessels. My only advice to you would be that your initial corvette based approach is a very good and healthy one, a large number of corvettes gives you flexibility and the ability to distribute your forces. Battleships are appropriate for worlds close to the Empire in their doctrine (like Anaxes) but I do worry that people see the big ship and think "woah shiny" without realising how it is a lot of eggs in one basket.

I would have no problem with almost any number of small frigates, corvettes etc (again, just a personal opinion). I just (and this is literally just a personal preference too) would prefer to see these larger (Victory, Venator etc) classes restricted to "militarist" worlds.

Ok, so maybe the Z-95s, the Y Wings, the modified Consulars, the medical frigates, and the stations?

That should be suitable for a world like yours. The key is to put your stations in a good defensive position should your fast, mobile fleet fail to defend your world from an invasion. That way you can consider the stations as ships with heavy guns...only that it doesn't move much lol.
