| I call ooc Vendetta on Jamie. You all know why and I am sick of it. He was told years ago to leave me and I have put up with more and more crap from him ic recently and I am tired of it. Either he knocks it off and leaves me alone and stops taking jabs or I am out. He is doing it because he can get away with it and he knows it upsets me ooc. Which is his goal in life, to make others miserable.

| Not so! No more than Oswaldt has a vendetta for his poking at Janar. I play the character to the character.
Ordan is a woman hater (and possible closet homosexual) due to rejection when he was a young man. This manifests in him being rude and dismissive of most of the female Senators (he has done it to all of them). Janar has stated she supports the rights of worlds to attack eachother - Ordan is being an opportunist and hopping on a bandwagon in order to allow him to make a profit.
Don't see any OOC motive, I have attacked worlds owned by most of the players in the RP before - this is no different.
To be clear, I don't have a vendetta against you at all, and frankly, Adam, Carl, Exar and Jaron are far more often the butt of my attacks than yourself.

That was underhanded, it was a planet I had intended to play with once things got settled down and I return and its gone...no..it is ooc and I have said a 100 times before I want you to leave me alone. | I am not playing your little games, you seem to forget that I know how you think, I sat there many times while you did this crap to other people and laughed about it thinking it was great fun because you had an issue with them out of character for some reason. I am sick of taking all of your crap, RP is suppose to be fun and you take the fun out of it, not only for me but for a lot of other players. | Carl I don't dislike you, Adam, Exar or Jaron, I just enjoy playing the game with you guys (and it is a game) so don't take it personally (take it as a compliment if anything). I have attacked all of your assets before but that is because it's fun to play the game, to try and compete for resources and "victory" - there's no slight intended. Quid pro quo, you're welcome to come and mess with my stuff, it's a game. If we play chess you don't hate me for taking your pieces, it's just part of the game. Same here.
Janar - You are playing a political simulation when you RP in the Senate. You cannot expect yourself to be insulated from threats by just getting upset every time someone wants to engage with you. Just as if you were RPing fighting, there is always the risk your character will get hurt. This is exactly the same thing - you cannot expect people to give you a free ride just because you don't want your stuff to be touched. Your character said something which did invite the very response I have made - I am afraid that's how my character would act.
There's a saying "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen."

It is absolutely not a vendetta, there has been no premeditation or "malice aforethought", Janar said a silly thing and Ordan has exploited it - Ordan would do the same for almost any Senator.

For better or for worse (unfortunately in your opinion it seems) I am part of this RP, and with respect I am not just going to have my characters act in an inappropriate manner to suit you. Janar is a Senator and a Planetary ruler, and has opened herself up to attack... So I am RPing the character as he would act. You are choosing to see a vendetta where there is absolutely not one - I don't have the slightest thing in the world against you.
Thank you for calling everyone who makes detailed posts "lifeless" - hardly a fair comment, I know a lot of people who make detailed posts and I wouldn't call any of them "lacking a life".
I honestly think it would not be unfair to state you really ought to grow up and just either play the game properly or not play it - you can't expect to be insulated from the real day to day life of the game because you declare so. You are not a child and cannot expect to simply throw your toys out of the pram when things don't go your way. Frankly, had Goodchild, VolFyr, Thanatos, Domon, Ryuun etc made this comment I would do exactly the same. This is not about you, it is about playing a character as he ought to be played.

| I am not making things unplayable for anyone. No character have I derived their assets from completely (ever), and they always have the opportunity and ability to bounce back to an even stronger position. It's never with a mean spirit, and I am always happy to cooperate with people who may on occasion be my enemies (note my working with Adam and Exar extensively these days).
I make things more interesting and bring the RP to life. Frankly, you can't have a story without an antagonist, and Ordan is an antagonist. The person I have come the closest to defeating utterly was Shiva (Adam) and I never did this with any malice. And equally in the past Adam has schemed and warred against me. It's a political simulation and if we were all just going to play "Let's get okay." it would be a very very dull one.
For example ATM my character Levi has been having a monumental power struggle with Jaron's King Deralius in previous months - this hasn't destroyed Deralius but has provided him with some useful options (like becoming a rebel leader etc). Another example might be the ongoing dispute some of my characters have with the Cronese Mandate - from these disputes the Mandate has become stronger (Robeir's position has been strengthened atleast) - outside opposition strengthens inward unity.
If you really have a problem with playing real politics then you should perhaps step aside and concentrate on other aspects of the RP, why should you be a special case? When I attacked Druckenwell for blockading Monor II Adam never fussed and cried, he accepted it as a reality and worked around it - I suggest you do the same.
I also don't insult people either, everything I do I do with an OOC smile and positive attitude and am always open to discussion OOC. I'm not going to continue explaining this to you, but suffice to say I am not "picking" on anyone, rather I play my characters true to themselves.

Remember? And you have consistantly done the opposite of that. Maybe if someone doesn't want to deal with you, you should leave them alone, especially when they have voiced that a number of times. | As far as I am concerned you consent to contact when you play the game. Just like when you go to a poker game, you can't object to someone playing a hand against you.
You are choosing to play the game. Ergo if you act in one way you must expect the logical reaction. If you don't like this then noone is making you play it.
I am actually quite sad and shocked that you are getting this utterly hysterical over a game. I might suggest you turn off your monitor for a few minutes, and have a breather, perhaps a cup of tea and then turn it back on with a positive new attitude.
Now, I will let you know what I intend to do, that is continue to RP my characters in a way consistent with how I made them and how others actions have shaped the game. If you do not wish to interact with my characters, that is your prerogative, but if you wish to RP with them (commenting on Senate posts being a form of RPing) then that is your choice and I am afraid you should take the consequences.
I am happy to respect your wish with regard to contact I might initiate, and am happy not to contact you (I don't talk to you anyway outside of the forum) but if you post something directed at me, like a comment or thread directed at me or my legislation then of course I will comment back and play my characters in an according manner, following up on that.
If indeed you feel that this constitutes "harassment", there is a due process of law I encourage you to take.

You have plenty of other people to deal with while ignoring what I do or say. There is no reason for all of this. You destoryed my planet...do you understand that? I do not think that is an unreasonable request, you use to do it, why not do it once more. Wait...I know why, because you get some sort of sick enjoyment out of ruining other people's fun. | As regards your planet, I did so with the express consultation of management, and it was not something you opposed even after the fact.
If you wish to be uninvolved with my characters that is fine. Just don't be involved with politics (my sphere of RP) and then I can ignore you, unfortunately if you will play politics, you have to live with the consequences. Having hysterics just because you opened yourself to attack solves nothing and damages the RP (why shouldn't everyone have magical autoprotection for all their stuff, wouldn't that be a fun game?).
I don't get any enjoyment out of ruining anyones fun, I would argue that simply sitting there doing nothing would not be fun, it would not even be a game. Why not just watch grass grow? I provide challenges to characters, so they can define themselves in adversity and become stronger.
My attitude to RP.
But to clarify my statement
1. I don't have a vendetta against you or anyone.
2. I am happy to not RP with you so long as you give me the option to (avoiding posting on threads my characters have an interest in - not demanding I rp with you via actions).
3. I will RP my characters in a manner consistent with how others have interacted with them (I am not making any special cases) and after this present case is resolved I will stick to my point 2.
