| ● Economic hardship as a result of the blockade of Chandaar, which lasts almost a month, convinces Cronese senators to pass a law that adopts the language that Senator Ordan demanded, over the objection of Lord Robeir. Having met the rest of Ordan's demands already, the blockade of Chandaar is lifted. The law sunsets at the end of the Cronese senate term a month later, but Cronese hatred of Anaxes is forever.
● Robeir remains popular for his handling of ethnic Cronese issues, and Lord Gilbert's opposition campaign never quite "catches on." Gilbert himself states the mood of the Cronese people in a letter to Robeir that is widely publicized. Robeir gets an additional boost in the campaign from the endorsement of Hyacinth Dafoe. Although Gilbert enjoys considerable private sector support, his Justice Party wins few seats in the Cronese election (it does best on Chandaar).
● Nonetheless, to patch up his damaged reputation on economic issues, Robeir offers Gilbert the position of Minister of Commerce and Labor, in charge of Cronese economic policy. (If he accepts the job) He proceeds to undo "communist" and "protectionist" policies and open the Mandate to trade, securing a free trade treaty with the planet Brentaal that becomes the basis for similar treaties with other worlds.
● Lord Dafoe, popular with the Imperial Party of many Cronese worlds, is appointed Minister of Immigration in return for his endorsement of Robeir and pursues an ethnic Cronese re-patriation agenda (in addition, an anti-alien agenda).
● Throughout this, Robeir withdraws from day-to-day rule, giving speeches throughout the Mandate and representing it at humanitarian events throughout the galaxy. He comes around to the idea that the more isolated the Mandate is, the more vulnerable it is, and he signs various Outer Rim humanitarian and trade treaties, developing friendships among Outer Rim worlds so the Mandate isn't alone in the event of future blockades, etc.
● The 42nd Defense Wing of the Cronese fleet is scrapped and the Keldabe-class cruiser Vigilance of the 9th Defensive Fleet is retired, rendering the total Cronese forces as follows:
(101st Mandate Fleet) ▪ 1 Vindicator-class Heavy Cruiser ▪ 2 EF76 Nebulon-B Escort Frigates ▪ 2 Gozanti cruisers ▪ 24 Z-95 Headhunters
(9th Defensive Fleet) ▪ Munificent-class Star Frigate Helena ▪ 3 Marauder-class Corvettes ▪ 12 Z-95 Headhunters ▪ 8 Rihkxyrk Assault Fighters
(Other) ▪ 1 Cardan V-class Space Station (at Chandaar) ▪ 5 Golan-1 Space Defense Platforms (at Arcan, Alor, Argai, Chandaar, and Kismaano, w/24 Eta-2 interceptors each). ▪ Cronese Mandate Stormtrooper Analog (TBD) ▪ (Chandaar) An assortment of tanks, speeders, gunships and airspeeders (TBD) ▪ (Chandaar) Various BP.5 Anti-Aircraft Turrets, BP.4 Anti-Vehicle Turrets, and BP.2 Anti-Infantry Turrets
● This finally convinces the Auril Sector that the Mandate has no hostile intentions towards it.
● Robeir agrees to the Empire's demand that Cronese research and development of new warship designs be suspended indefinitely, and the Cronese R&D facilities are shuttered for the time being.
