| Everyone's opinion is different of course, and I'm interested in anyone else's who wants to post on here, but this is my take on the most Star Warsy characters that AGW could use, or use more of. These, to me, are characters that have that Star Wars feel to me, and I admit that a lot of what influenced me here are 1990's Expanded Universe writings and may not necessarily seem as Star Wars to someone else as it does to me.
6. Mandalorian Say what you will about Karen Traviss, she developed a rich history and culture for the Mandalorians—a wealth of information for RPers to draw upon. But even before Karen Traviss, Mandalorians (not just Boba Fett, but Jodo Kast too, for example) were popular characters in RP, and Mandalorian armor has that undeniable Star Wars feel to it. Mandalorians have had a hard time getting started in the RP, but there are many Mandalorian characters ready to go if interest in their struggle can be renewed.
5. Card-player, Gambler, Scoundrel You'd like him. Who wouldn't? But although the RP has seen this sort of character before (Sterling Farland, Ryker Pellinore, etc.), AGW hasn't seen anyone RP a full-time Lando Calrissian-style entrepreneur/adventurer and ladies' man. But the advantage of this sort of character is that they can blend in anywhere, keeping company with rebels and criminals one day and nobles and senators the next; great for introducing other characters to one another and being at the center of the action.
4. Mad Scientist Cliche? Absolutely, but it's a prevalent cliche in Star Wars, and mad scientists (or just plain evil scientists) figure into the adventures of many of the principal Star Wars characters. Yes, there's a retarded one in the Clone Wars show, but there's also a lot of intellectual antagonists in Star Wars who use science as their weapon-of-choice; just look at all the stories that revolve around the construction of superweapons. (Note: superweapons can't be used in the RP—doesn't mean they can't be built). And I see potential here because there's so much interest in custom designs in AGW.
3. Mistryl Shadow Guard Wookieepedia says, "The Shadow Guards history was a long and tragic one, full of deception, greed, anger, and destruction." What's not to like? They're also useful characters in that, as mercenaries, they can work for practically anyone in the RP and be useful in beefing up a Rebel group—something AGW is in need of. And they're proficient enough in combat to go toe-to-toe with Force users.
2. Bounty Hunter A grizzled, full-time bounty hunter with the ingenuity (and persistence) to find the Empire's most wanted in the nooks and crannies they're hiding in—and help Imperial RPers keep those Jedi and Rebel characters on the move. I noticed that people like to make characters based on video games; perhaps we'll see more bounty hunters when Star Wars: 1313 comes out?
1. Bartender I cannot emphasize enough the importance of a bartender in any Star Wars RP. The most important character. First of all, the cantina is the classic Star Wars setting. Rebels or criminals can hide out or do business there. Imperials can go undercover. And any character in the RP has a reasonable excuse to stop in whether it's for Corellian ale or blue milk. Old-timers like Kenas know exactly what I mean, and how central a good bartender character can be in an RP. AGW, however, often has events and storylines that span many worlds, so how about this: a traveling bar, built into a ship perhaps? It could make the rounds of all those poor benighted worlds with no dank drinking establishments of their own.

| Your list is flawed!
I don't see a crazed Jedi named Havoc on the list anywhere.

| We already have one! And two of them would not get along.

| Well, since all Havoc does anymore is berate people in the OOC forum, I say it could be argued that we in fact do need a crazed Jedi that is in denial about being a Dark Jedi (who is driven so simply because he was cursed through life with the name Frank Bruder) named Havoc. So, Jace, let's get to scouting a suitable player for said character!
Just busting your balls, Havoc.
