Not to be confrontational, but rather just for the sake of being honest, I do somewhat resent a new character being created apparently for the sole purpose of being a deus ex machina for another of your characters who is in a tight spot. I tried, respectfully, to point out in my last post the illogic of Tysho's presence there. I don't think it's against the rules (or is it?), and I suppose I'm not really sure what the point of me mentioning this is, lol. Just felt like I had to vent that I'm somewhat irked.

Actually, Tysho was one of two characters I've been toying about with for a bit, mainly cause I needed a bounty hunter. He did happen to come in at a convenient time, I'll admit, but odds are he won't be there for long. In discussions with another player here I've decided to use someone else as assistance for a rescue since it aids a different plot of sorts.

Tysho is mainly there because his ship has a tractor beam. He's not really in too deep for the purposes of much else at the moment, aside from the bounty list.

So, I must confess that, quite irresponsibly, I didn't read Deven's second to last post very closely and I wasn't aware that he was already in the docking bay and, moreover, already attacking someone. I think the reason I didn't read it closely is because I figured he couldn't possibly be there already considering there was only an 11 second span between my last two posts. In this 11 second span, Deven runs into Tysho and converses with him for a period of time that, logically, should take longer than 11 seconds (if you read the dialogue aloud, and assuming Tysho's consideration also takes a moment, it seems to come out to at least 20 seconds and probably more).

Also, I think the posting order needs to have Voss after Blount, before Tysho and Deven.

Haha. Just totally noticed this. Yeah, I can change the posting order. It was just easier to work on my phone due to post lengths and the fact that I lost Voss' post three times while working from the phone. It's much easier to do via the computer. But I didn't think either way that Sarous would be shooting at Voss considering that Deven was there in the open, practically behind Sarous and in full firing range. I mean, Deven is well within the little entryway that leads into the docking bay. Go ahead and modify my post as needed when it comes to defense.

I suppose I'm still confused. The point I was trying to emphasize is that Deven shouldn't be in the docking bay at this time. Perhaps in the next round. However, this has confounded me somewhat because his post should be after Treylon's and not before.

Please do forgive me for being very confused. I don't mean to delay the thread, except for this impediment.

Perhaps you could delete Deven's and Tysho's last 2 posts, and then repost them with modifications as necessary so the posting order is correct? (and something to the effect that Deven is on his way to the hangar bay, rather than being in it?). Unless I have all this wrong; if so, do correct me.

Yeah, I can do that. I modified Voss' post somewhat to try and reflect that. It's my understanding that every docking bay has a little hallway sort of deal that leads from the main thoroughfare to the docking bay doors themselves. From what I could glean, Sarous was posted up just on the edge of this, practically right where the docking bay doors had been. Deven is in the hallway portion.

Thank you for that. I'm good to go now, and I'll have a post up tomorrow (and not like midnight tomorrow either; I'll have a reply posted at a reasonable hour, tomorrow afternoon. I realize I've made you wait far too long as it is, so I'll make it a priority now that I have my bearings).

(Apparently when I said that I meant I'll have a post up by tonight, after dinner. Plus a surprise post! Surprises involving the NRI are usually bad, but this one won't be too much).

Haha. You actually sent Blount himself to Baltimn? Geez Jace, have you been drinking too much? Haha. Just kidding. Gonna be odd if/when he meets Cale.

The NRI doesn't pay Blount enough.

Cale certainly can;t just do away with Blount. That's for sure. I can just picture him showing up on Cale's doorstep and Cale offering him some of the cookies and hot chocolate Oriel brought.

Well, I mean, I know Ponc was sending someone to investigate, but the NRI? Other than a slightly racist Ambassador, they've done nothing wrong. Hardly a need for the NRI. Cale's discussions with R&L weren't intercepted after all.

Well I think you're right that Paul seems to have brought enough for all of us.
