School me!

So, while I'm not exactly new to RP in general, this will be my first incursion into the world of Forum RP.

So, school me on forum RP etiquette, where it differs from what one might expect to see in a chat room roleplay.

Also, is there a set of rules I've missed in my searching around the board?

Let us also say. there's a 4 day waiting period. Like lets say in my thread, I haven't posted in quite awhile. DuPont can techincally post again, but since I've talked to him, he said it's fine if we hold of for a short bit.

Those are actually the standard uCoz forum rules they have established in every forum template. Here are the site rules.

http://www.agalaxyatwar.com/index/rules/0-27

First off, welcome to SWRP: A Galaxy At War, also known as AGW. Your managers are Jace Varitek, Jory Carson and myself, Orion Karath. Sorry that the rules weren't that visable, still working on the format of the main pages to make them the most accessible and visable. Something I'll pass on to our lovely web dev team (in other words, Jace and Jory).

Now on to text-based RP. Since you have some experience in RP and with chat RP, it shouldn't be that much of a problem, other than perhaps its sometimes slow pace might annoy you once in awhile, but just cowboy your way through. For the most part the etiquette remains the same. While we allow some mature content, such as cussing, we prefer it to remain at a level of anything you would see in the movies, comics, or television shows (I do understand the current cartoons are for kids, so don't take all of this entirely literal). If you do get a bit graphic, we ask that you place an explicit content advisory on your post, but I doubt a Jedi will have that problem usually. Sith maybe, and Mandalorian definately...at least if you play them as I do...and probably an Imperial once in a blue moon. We just ask that you remain respectful at an OOC level. If you have any further questions, post them here, or add me onto Windows Messenger if you have it, orionkarath1@hotmail.com . And always remember, we at management try to keep an open door policy, so feel free to approach any one of us.
