Biography

Born in Mithra on Deralia, daughter of Gaius Caesar Octavius, a notable diplomat who early in his life helped guide Atrisia into the Galactic Republic and later became the first non-Tammuz Senator to represent the Tammuz-an Sector in the Senate since the Ruusan Reformation, and Quinta Alba Octavius, the Republic's Ambassador to the Norat Sovereignty and later head of the Republic Diplomatic Corps.

Raised in a slow point of her parents lives on her homeworld, politics and diplomacy both came easily to her, much more than her parents. As is customary, she attended the Agoge Academy, a premier school for noble children on Deralia, and helped lead a student protest which led to the allowance of commoner children into the school for the first time since its founding under eight
thousand years prior.

Following graduating from her class as valedictorian, she enrolls in the University of Alderaan's College of Government on Coruscant. Following an illustrious and heavily lauded time as a student, which included time served in the staff of Senators Palpatine, Finis Valorum, Horox Ryyder, and Mina Bonteri. She graduates valedictorian of her class, and immediately joined the Republic Diplomatic Corps.

Sets her mark immediately in the Diplomatic Corps by spearheading the efforts to evacuate and relocate the Shadda-Bi-Borans, joining the Refugee Relief Movement. In gratitude of her efforts, a handwoven dress of Shadda silk was made for her, which she is notable for wearing as much as possible later on in the Senate. She also receved an armband made of handcrafted Shadda silk as well, which she has worn every day since receiving it. Much to her heartbreak, the Shadda-Bi-Borans were unable to adapt to any world, even those within her home star system, leading to the extinction of the species soon thereafter. During this time, she would the young Padmé Amidala for the first time, and during the course of the crisis, would become a friend of the Naberrie family.

Following a liberal revolt, she attempts to lead Pergitor into the Republic, but fails due to the disorganized and chaotic nature of the government. The failure of this effort would lead to the allowance of a bloody coup by the Church of Infinite Perception, which unleashed a holy war upon the entire population of the planet to install a theocracy.

Attempts to be attached to the delegation sent to negotiate with the Trade Federation over its blockade of Naboo, however despite several attempts, Chancellor Valorum denies the requests, due to her close association with the Naberrie family, insisting on a Jedi-only action. Senator Palpatine urges her to cease her efforts, despite being on the brink of convincing Chancellor Valorum otherwise. She would later find Senator Palpatine's counsel to have potentially saved her life. She is grateful to the newly-elected Supreme Chancellor, and upon the triumph of the Naboo over the Trade Federation's invasion, she visits Naboo with the Republic delegation, checking on the Naberrie family, spending time with Queen Amidala for the first time since she had taken the throne of her people, and attending Qui-Gon Jinn's funeral.

Following the Militarist faction's loss of public support in the Tammuz-an Sector, being only supported on Deralia, she decides to run for election in the 6 GrS elections for Senate. Running on a campaign of improvement upon the Ruusan Reformations, curbing corporations, increasing security and quality of life in the Outer Rim, increased planetary rights and sovereignty, as well as an expressed willingness to compromise with the opposition. While caucusing with the Rim faction, she was seen as much better compromise and centrist candidate between Core and Militarist faction Titus Veritas and strictly Rim faction, and controversial, Zia Jau, who had become a perrenial opposition candidate since he defeat twenty years beforehand by Veritas. The tight race, which ultimately needed a recount and mediation, ended up with her surprising victory.

When the debate begins for the Military Creation Act, she takes a stand against it, abandoning, however, the popular arguments of it being a matter of sovereignty, or attempt at reversing the Ruusan Reformation, and merely makes the argument against escalation, and making a stand against any move that would make the Republic appear as the aggressor should the Separatist Crisis lead to war. Despite such opposition, she relays that the entirety of Deralia's military would be contributed to the Republic war effort should war come. She finds herself engaged in a rather public debate with her father-in-law, and King of Deralia, King Aurelius XXV, who favors the Military Creation Act, over the issue. She is nearly defeated in her re-election campaign mere days before the outbreak of the Clone Wars due to this debate, and would have lost, were it not for one of the King's dying words to be in support of her status as Senator. She finds herself increasingly the figurehead of the loyalist movement on her homeworld, which was faced at the time with strong Separatist and neutrality movements.

Upon the outbreak of the Clone Wars, she lends full support of Palpatine's measures and policies, including transferring her world's entire military over to Republic control. Over the years of the war, however, she found herself standing alongside Senator Amidala more and more frequently, and strongly.

Again, presenting an alternative viewpoint, as was becoming her hallmark in her time in the Senate, she joins the Delegation of 2000, even going so far as to attend a few Cantham House Meetings, with the viewpoint that all of the reforms the Chancellor had established with executive powers could easily be passed in the legislature, and thus should be proposed as official legislation, and to do so otherwise brought the Republic close to the same autocratic rule that dominated the Separatists. Following the Declaration of the New Order, she, for a time, kept her name on the Delegation of 2000, but once asked by the Emperor to remove her name, she does so.

Uncomfortable with recent actions, and many of the reforms that were being made in the newly formed Empire, she decides against running for the Tammuz Sector seat in the Senate, publicly stating that she seeks to help her children, all of whom are in or entering military service, raise their own children when the time comes.

When the time is right, her homeworld reforms its government, for the first in time fifteen years, having faced a Separatist crisis for just as long, with the last remnants of the faction being voted out of the planetary legislature or removed from nobility. With the supermajority of the planet divided between Aurelian and Octavian lines, despite the similarity, she seen as a uniter of the opposition to work with the majority, thus, for the first time in Deralia's history, she and her husband assume a joint reign of the Throne of Deralia. She finds herself being useful as upon Titus Veritas' final leave of the Senate, she is tapped to serve out the remainder of her current term. Time will tell if she plans on running for election at the end of the term.
