After hearing Senator Cambrist's statement, I absolutely agree. (Guess I'm not the "little guy" Now eh?) Welcome Miss Motour.

Hello esteemed Senators and peers of my father. I am Milo J. Prosper and, to clarify, I am the permanent Senator-designate of Volus. I would like to thank Anja Motour for stepping in to fill this role on a temporary basis while the Prefecture deliberated with His Highness, King Motour, to replace her and her troubled predecessor, Crin Star. The people of Volus are grateful to them both, and, of course, to the Imperial Senate for the massive amount of attention it has shown to our humble world in recent months. Truly, we do not deserve it. In the coming months, however, if I am honored to serve beside you all as my father once did, I hope for my world to continue to participate in politics, of course, and in interstellar trade on a free and equal basis, but I also hope to do so with, perhaps, a smaller profile. For it does seem that Volus, the world that I love, has acquired something of a "bad image" since my father passed away, and I hope in time to correct this.

I would like to begin now, by announcing on behalf of King Motour that he has pardoned the crew of Vjun's freighter that was recently detained on Volus. They will be returned to Vjun at our expense, as will the freighter and, if Vjun wishes it, the cargo of Vjun tunics. You will note that I am wearing a Vjun tunic as we speak to demonstrate that there is indeed nothing wrong with this quality product. I oppose the law that banned it, and I am relieved to announce that it has been repealed thanks to the scientific testimony that has been presented to us. We hope now that this incident can be put behind us, for we have no animosity for Vjun, its people, or its government, nor any of the worlds of the Imperial Loyalist Coalition for Free Trade. Indeed, free trade is something on which worlds like Volus and Aeeq depend, and something that we must all work together to preserve, protect and defend at the pleasure of the Emperor.

I am also announcing that the Avenger, the premier warship of the Volusian fleet and a source of pride for its people, will remain so. But its sublight engines shall be disabled, and it will from now on act in the role of a defense platform and a museum and monument to the heroism of Volus and its people in the Clone Wars. With the Senate's permission, we will seek to replace the Avenger with a smaller, more agile customs fleet to better respond to the scourge of piracy that hangs over my world as, indeed, it hangs over all of our worlds.

With your support, Senators, I want to return Volus to a time when its representation here was as good as its people, and deserving of them. I want to honor my world, and my father, and take his place here in this Senate. I will even clean out the Senate staff and return to the Volusian delegation my father's confidantes and yours. But in the meantime, I of course welcome your questions.

In light of the release of Vjunite prisoners and the lifting of the embargo, I move that the blockade against Aeeq be voided. Senator-designate Prosper, I have high hopes for you.

Senator Ryuun, you seem to be confused. The Imperial Senate never made any demands of Volus. The Imperial Senate never ordered any embargo or blockade. Do not mistake an allowance of the actions of this Coalition as an Imperial action, it is not and never was. I suggest you discuss whatever your Coalition is doing in an appropriate forum, which is certainly not this chamber.

Now, Senator Prosper, I apologize for that. As I said to Princess Motour, I will say to you; welcome to the Senate. I hope that you have a better time than your predecessor, who's fate is still unfortunate and saddens me.

Senator Veritas, I am afraid you are mistaken, actually.

While many of the Coalition's works were indeed done in private, I feel that this particular matter can be discussed in the open Senate. Volus' new Senator has seen fit to publically state the release of the Vjunite captives and allow Vjun cargo on Volusian soil. As a gesture o goodwill, I believe the Coalition can vote amongst itself here, in an equally public forum and also in the gesture of goodwill and to show there are no hard feelings, that we are willing to back down on our side.

I thank you for that sentiment, Senator Ryuun, and for your sympathy and support, Senator Veritas. In whatever forum it is decided, it is my hope, as I said, that the blockade of Aeeq need not go forward. I would suggest to you that Volus has shone the light of reason on this unfortunate affair and made concessions that are in the interest of us all. But if there are no further questions of me, Grand Vizier, I am eager to get started.
