| It is clear that Druckenwell has attempted to exert undue influence upon a fellow member of the Empire by imposing a blockade without first attempting to pursue ANY other course of action. This is an unwarranted move not only against the natives but upon the thousands of local humans and Imperial Administrator.
Alsakan thus calls for
- Druckenwell forces to withdraw from Monor II's space - A full Review of the legality of the action - An investigative Committee be formed with Senator Vanden at it's head to rule on the rights and wrongs of the situation.
For a period of 30 days or Until the blockade is withdrawn and an appropriate indemnity paid to the local Imperial Administrator.
If the blockade remains, in 30 days this chamber will discuss further sanctions and leaves all avenues of action open with regards to securing the future of the people of Monor II.
Verence Terrawin
Senator of Alsakan First Lord of the Foreign Office, Alsakan

| Senator Terrawin, you are targeting Druckenwell Arms Corporation (DAC); a corporation that supplies vessels and starship-grade weaponry to the Imperial Navy with set contracts to be met. Your sanction calls for putting people out of work and denying equipment to the Imperial Navy all because Druckenwell attempts to bring Monor II, a world who has not been meeting its production quotas to the Empire, back into the fold through peaceful actions with the intent of preventing rebellious and/or seditious ideas?
Preposterous, Senator. Preposterous.
Druckenwell calls all freedom-loving members of the Senate to vote against this measure. If we cannot aid our neighbors, then what good are we sitting here trying to aid the Empire?
Druckenwell is firmly against these ridiculous sanctions.
Lomen Ryuun Senator, Doldur Sector Senator, Druckenwell Representative, Monor II (10 BBY - 9 BBY) Representative, Geridard Representative, Boranall Representative, Therenor Prime Vice-chairman, Defense Committee (Temporarily suspended) Controlling Shareholder - Druckenwell Arms Corporation

| Sadly, I have to vote against these sanctions... for the simple reason that Senator Ryuun has released documentation that proves that he has the Empire's permission to conduct this blockade, therefore making it indeed legal... despite the fact that I believe there are other, more productive options that can be utilized.

| If the Empire indeed did approve this blockade, then I see no reasons to impose sanctions against Druckenwell. I propose that this motion made by Senator Terrawin be dismissed.

| I'll have to agree with the the senator from Drunkenwell, Dantooine, and Telos IV. His planet has all the legal notifications for it.

| In light of all the other votes, Sluis Van is against as well. Whatever may be occurring at Monor II is sanctioned by the government.

| As the letter is somewhat ambiguous in it's wording, what is or is not permissible under permission to "pacify"?

| Senator Terrawin, I think it is safe to say that everyone here seems that the trust of the Imperial government in myself and Druckenwell and Druckenwell's ability to be fair to Monor II is accepted. Are you ready to withdraw this sanction?

| For the record, the Empire did not so much permit the use of force as, rather, it didn't object to it. The policy of the Ruling Council in recent months has been to involve itself as little as possible in local disputes, and while I offered to Senator Ryuun my personal opinion on the Monor II situation, I think I also reflected accurately the Empire's position that it does not object to the use of force on Monor II provided it is done according to law and does not impair the planet's productivity. My statement to Senator Ryuun, however, was not intended as a comment on the merit of his operation—on this, the Empire has no opinion. Moreover, I feel it should be noted that no Imperial officials on Monor II are participating in this operation or providing it any sort of assistance.
And to correct Senator Veritas on a procedural point, yes this is a legal matter to be undertaken by the justice system, but the Senate does have the authority (if it chooses) to direct the justice system to do so. My reading of Senator Terrawin's proposal is that it is indeed in this vein.

| If I may interject, Chairman, the Imperial liaison has been assisting us as of late, and was the source of the facts that led Druckenwell to its current presence at Monor II in the first place.

| You will find that the Imperial liaison has been recalled to Imperial Center, and the Empire's policy on this issue has been communicated to him. The Empire will provide no assistance to this operation beyond the requisite sharing of information to assure that Imperial infrastructure is not harmed and Imperial commerce is not impeded.

| More than fair enough, Chairman. I can promise that Monor II will be returned to productivity with Druckenwell's assistance in a minimum amount of time and fuss.
