The Garos IV Senatorship Motion

| For over a year Janar Cerra has sat as Acting Senator of Garos IV, I believe that it does not behoove a planet to be a long amount of time without the certainty and accountability a permanent Senator brings. Thus even if the Queen of Garos IV simply wishes to confirm her own Senatorship, I would like to see an official Senator.
"The Imperial Senate calls upon Garos IV to appoint, elect or otherwise select a permanent Senator within the next six months."

I would also like to suggest that perhaps it would be wise for Queen Cerra to delegate the duties of the Senate to another qualified individual, so that she not be so burdened by both the duties of state and the Senate.

| It has always been my opinion that members of an acting royal line, currently ruling over a planet, should not also serve in the senate due to a possible conflicts of interest. Therefore, Chandrila also votes in favor of this motion.

| Correct me if you may, Senator Cerra. I hate to correct you, Senator Thanatos, but in my last visit to Garos IV, I believe I learned that the government established there was and still is constitutional monarchy. That meant electing a King or a Queen to run the planet, like Naboo have traditionally done. I do not believe there is a conflict of interest for Senator Cerra, and I believe she is capable of representing her homeworld on a more permanent basis. I am confident she will do her job well.
Telos IV votes against the motion put forth by Senator Ordan.

| Senator Thanatos, not all royalty in the Senate wields their position as an extension of their rule. I hope to show you in the closing days of this year, and in the next year, and many more to come, that this is a false presumption. Of course, as with all things, there are exceptions. As a matter of principle, and procedure, Senator Order is right that it is wholly inappropriate for a world to be under the questionable status of an Acting Senator for an extensive amount of time, much less nearly a year. Senator Cerra, whether it be yourself or someone else, through appointment or election, a permanent decision must be made. I vote In Favor.

| You've not read the Act or the debate, again Mr Fowlkes, to come to Mr Ordan's aid on this one. The act in no way criticises Miss Cerra or calls for her replacement, merely for there to be ANY (including her) permanent (not Acting) Senator for Garos IV.

| Oh please do pardon me for having an opinion, Senators. I am not in any way saying that you Queen Derailius, are biased or whatnot, nor Senator Cerra. It was merely an opinion combined with a misreading of the proposal.
I still vote in favor of a permanent senator being appointed.

Might be one of the reasons Fabio stepped down... one of the many reasons....
Anyways, I vote in favor. I would like to see a permanent Senator from Garos IV.
