The Cronese Mandate will follow the Ordan-North Cronese Mandate Capital Blockade Motion on the following grounds.

  • The Cronese Mandate commits never again to use its vessels beyond the borders of the Cronese Mandate.

    • All Cronese Mandate vessels will be recalled to the Cronese Mandate and will not be leaving the borders of the Mandate for the foreseeable future
    • All private Cronese Mandate vessels are requested to return to the Cronese Mandate for their safety if they feel they will be targeted for being Cronese

  • It recognises the elected Government of Caluula as legitimate

  • The Cronese Mandate commits to pay full repatriation to the Caluulan people (a sum to be determined by the Governor of the Tion Hegemony).

    • Provided that the sum is fair and not exorbitant

  • The Cronese Mandate states its repentance for its ethnic policy and accepts guilt for the widespread misery it has brought on its neighbours by the pursuit of these policies

    • The Cronese Mandate calls on all Ethnic Cronese to return home to the Mandate, as the Cronese Mandate will not be able to protect them

As the Cronese Mandate is following the Bill, it is requesting that the Blockading forces are to be withdrawn from the Cronese Mandate, if not done so in a timely manner, the Mandate request that the vessels be marked as an 'occupying force.'

    Mr. Goodchild
    Minister of State
    Representative of the Cronese Mandate

It appears Representative Goodchild and the Cronese Mandate have seen good sense. I would support this and Druckenwell is in favor of lifting the blockade now that the demands have been met in open forum.

As stated by the motion, you are required not just to issue the statement but to adopt it into law..

I am sure that the original legislation in question limiting Cronese vessels from leaving Mandate space were in regards to military vessels, not civilian traffic. Unless Anaxes has a major objection, Deralia is in favor of lifting the blockade now that the Cronese Mandate is accepting the terms that were laid on it, on it the condition that the Cronese Mandate ceases its aggressive posturing towards Deralia. Should Anaxes object, or the Cronese Mandate continue its aggressive rhetoric towards Deralia, such a vote will be withdrawn.

The Axum System injects the same compromise, we will support it being lifted on the condition the Mandate ceases it aggressive posturing towards us and out allies, and it's aggressive rhetoric. Equally, the requirement is specifically only applicable to Cronese vessels (Military vessels owned by the Cronese Mandate) not vessels of people who happen to come from the Cronese Mandate.

In the Interest of protecting the people of the Cronese Mandate, all our vessels will be remaining within the border to prevent any loss of life, coupled from both the Bill, and threats made by the Auril Sector to fire upon any Cronese Mandate vessels outside of the Mandate's borders. The Bill will be made into law, and the 'aggressive' actions taken were only after we ourselves were threatened, that is neither here nor there though. All Cronese Mandate vessels will remain in Mandate space, and will only leave provided they are requested by another world to be present.

Having spoken to the Moff of their (the Auril) Sector who has checked with the Sector Assembly groups, that is intended only to run to Cronese Warships - not vessels owned by Cronese people.

You literally plan to ground every merchant from leaving your space? A little bizarre but it's your choice..

How long will it be until it's implemented into law? The Cronese are rather renown in the region for duplicity.

We do not plan on grounding every merchant from leaving Mandate space, we've received enough letters of concern from the various merchants of the Cronese Mandate voicing their concern that they would be targeted merely for being Cronese, that they have themselves decided not to leave Mandate space.

The Bill will be put into law the moment that all blockading forces have left the Cronese Mandate.

I must state for the record my personal outrage that the Cronese Mandate has been compelled to make these demeaning statements, though I commend it unreservedly for doing so in the interest of peace. Let the record show that the Cronese Mandate has not brought "widespread misery on its neighbors"—it had a poorly-conceived intervention at Caluula that ended up being inconsequential to the events there, which it believed to be the persecution of the Cronese minority on Caluula. It was inconsequential in the actual persecution of the Cronese minority on Embaril, and bears no blame whatsoever for what happened there.

I oppose inordinate defense spending, and I don't agree with the Cronese Mandate on its position on this issue or the buildup of its fleet. But this notion that the Mandate or its fleet is a threat to other Sectors has no basis in fact. Caluula, I suppose. But at no other time can I recall the Cronese Mandate venturing outside of its space, in marked contrast to Anaxes which has pursued a policy of provocation with the Cronese Mandate from day one. Even a casual look at the Mandate and its defense policy reveals an isolationist sector that is intensely concerned with its own security and the security of its people—not some adventurist superpower as Anaxes and the reactionaries of the Auril Sector would have us believe.

The cause of peace would be well-served by all sides ramping down the rhetoric and making more good faith gestures to one another as the Cronese Mandate has done today.

I believe the good faith measures Senator Vanden speaks of being initiated have started well already. The Cronese have promised to cease their aggressive rhetoric towards Anaxes, Deralia, and other allied and non-aligned worlds; the blockading forces have seemingly agreed to lift the Senate mandated blockade, rather fulfilling their duty to see through the Senate's demands of a six month blockade of Chandaar. I believe Senator Vanden has touched on the overwhelming theme of today, and that is good faith in one's Imperial neighbors.
