You are a detestable man, Oswaldt, for attempting to state that I am on someone's payroll. I ask that the Chair call Governor Oswaldt to order for his slanderous words. I am the representative of three worlds, Governor. I am in no man's pocket, nor am I any man's lackey. I simply believe you lack the fair and impartial head to deal with any alien culture.

Lomen Ryuun
Senator, Doldur Sector
Senator, Druckenwell
Representative, Monor II (10 BBY - 9 BBY)
Representative, Geridard
Representative, Boranall
Representative, Therenor Prime
Vice-chairman, Defense Committee (Temporarily suspended)
Controlling Shareholder - Druckenwell Arms Corporation

Gentlemen, My father had some business that required his immediate attention back in the bright jewel sector, he'll inform anyone who's interested when he returns to Imperial Center.

Now, as the representative of Anobis, the responsibility of Bright Jewel vote falls into my lap.

Senator Kirkwood, I've taken a look at your biography, but not your Imperial Army records. Would you mind if I did so? To get a better feel on your personal military experience?

Carter Youngblood.
First Born son of Slai-Fon Youngblood.
Foreign Affairs Officer, and Representative of Anobis.

Representative Youngblood, I fail to see how a review of my military record is anywhere near relevant, nor necessary for this. Being the technical advisor of the Defense Committee should have been enough of a vetting process; or do you question the Committee? I fail to see, too, why I am the only member of the proposed commission to be subject to this asinine line of questioning that is demanding I unveil personal information on the Senate floor. I can not wrap my mind around any logical or reasonable explanation for this.

The Honorable Avram W. Kirkwood
Senator of the Cygnus Star Empire

General, Imperial Army (Ret.)

I had also planned on asking the other candidates to view their technical past and military past as well. I apologize if offended you. I, as well as my father wish to see the best person elected for each role called.

Gentlemen, I have read the transcript of not only this motion but Senator Oriel's initial accusation (and I daresay, swift and terrifying outcome) repeatedly. I tend to agree with Mr. Stark and Senator Ryuun that Senator Ordan and Oswaldt are perhaps not the best choices for this commission.

Governor Oswaldt, while he may be an advocate of Human High culture, has proven just in two little transcripts that he would not be able to fairly judge the Sluissi due to species-bias. And I agree, I have read that Senator Ordan is an incredible legal mind, but could he judge fairly? I am not so sure there either.

I do not think that I have ever met Senator Kirkwood in person, and know little of him, but aside from the line of questioning that he is taking, he seems very level headed. I do think, however, that Senator Vanden would make a fine addition to such a committee.

Chandrila will vote in favor if the suggestion of the addition of Senator Vanden is accepted, but for the moment, Chandrila votes against.

Ilanah R. Thanatos
Senator of Chandrila

I nominate myself to the proposed Committee, perhaps a noted liberal such as myself would be useful?

Verence Terrawin

First Lord of the Foreign Office, Alsakan
