The Imperial Loyalty Act!

I. The purpose of this act is to establish an oath that is recited by members of our Imperial Armed Forces!!! With this act, an oath would be administered during an enlisted as well as a commissioning of an officer within our military!!!! By swearing an oath, we prove to our citizens that our military members carry an oath that binds them to serve with distinction as well as eliminate any doubt that there will be treason within our ranks!!!! And not only that, we show that our military members carry on the discipline of upholding their oath to not only the Empire, but to the Mighty Emperor himself!!!

II. Similiar to our oaths that we have individual had to recite to prove our loyalty to the Emperor, I suggest that their oaths would go along the lines of this!!!:

"I, (state your name), do solemnly swear, under penalty of treason, that I uphold the highest tradition as well as honor during my service within the (state your branch). I also swear to follow the orders that are presented to me by an officer appointed over me as well as swearing ever lasting loyalty to the Emperor and do hereby decree that the Empire will have my everlasting loyalty as well expect of me to do what is morally right for the good of the citizens, the Empire, as well as the Emperor himself. So help me!"

III. SHOULD, any member of our military be found disobeying their oath, will be subject to the highest military disciplinary action, with punishment facing the highest ruling that can be appointed to a member of our Armed Forces!!!!!

Governor-General Tu'Rot, I always enjoy your flagrant use of exclamation points in your proposals. You just seem so....enthusiastic. Aside from that, I was unaware that the military did not already take an oath when they join in service of the Empire, so I suppose that shows how little I know of military matters.

Chandrila votes in favor.

As far as I know, Governor-General, the Imperial military already takes an oath of some kind prior to joining. Nonetheless, Lorrd votes in favor.

I vote in favour of this Act. On the condition that Senator Tu'Rot excises all instances of the exclamation mark from the Act.

Is this truly necessary, with the oath already present for enlisted and commissioned members of the military?

The Honorable Avram W. Kirkwood

I can say this! While there may be an oath already present, I believe this one will strengthen the code of honor for our military! So, to answer your question, Yes!!!!
