It was a jab to her heart to hear him call her Cerra, her last name. She would bite down on her lip as she looks out at the city, he could probably see her reflection in the glass, as she brings a hand up to brush her hair from face. She missed his voice, missed him calling her Ja’nar. She missed the soft tone he would get with her as they laid in bed together. The past was flashing before her, as she closes her eyes tightly. What had happened? Why? Why had she been so scared of the one thing she always wanted? It didn’t matter, she was sure the past could not be forgiven. He was a man and would see her disappearance as a great transgression against him. It didn’t matter now, times had changed she had so much to worry about now, but it would be nice to find comfort with someone once again, with him.
Ja’nar would open her eyes again to see Vanden’s reflection facing hers. She would turn to face him, forcing a little smile as she reached out to take the datacard from him, her hand gently brushing against his. She wanted to hold it, to stay in contact with him for just a bit longer, but she would withdraw it, looking down at the card in her hand for a moment before moving to place it into a hidden pocket within her gown. “Thank you Vanden,” she says softly as she moves to look up into his eyes, well she would try.
She would take a step closer to him, trying to close the distance between them, “There is” she says softly. She could see he was trying to be hard and cold to her, but she could see through it, or at least she hoped that she had and that wasn’t how he truly wanted to act towards her. “I’m sorry for just disappearing.” She wanted to explain herself. She wanted to pour her out to him, to share all of her secrets, but she couldn’t. She never could. He had never been one that she could share her past with. She didn’t want him to see her in a different light and before it was much easier for her to hide her past, but the dreams, the flashbacks, the pain. It would all come out soon enough and she was fearing that moment. She didn’t know how it would all be twisted around, and she didn’t want him to find out with the rest of the galaxy, but she just couldn’t tell him. Not now.
She would bring her hand up to her to head again, holding it for a brief moment. “I should be heading home” she whispers softly. “It was good seeing you again and thank you for the contact information Vanden.” Once more a forced smile would form from her lips.
