(( Drace, it isn't your turn. I didn't mention this before, but you're literally posting out of turn every single time. Please remember it's "me, you, Kal, me, you, Kal," etc. Also, there's no way some random guy is going to intercept a classified Imperial Intelligence transmission. Again, dude, you're not the Empire—the quality of your communications gear isn't going to be as good. Also, you guys have been reminded about cloaking devices already. Also, if you're going to put a bomb in someone's datapad, you need to mention it in advance or else it's not valid. That's moding, my friend (see Rule 1.1 please, also here, here, and, for definitions of "moding," or "god moding," here). I could point out at least 3, possibly 4 other problems with Drace's post, but instead I'm just going to go ahead and take my turn here as though the post hasn't been made. ))

Heller raised an eyebrow as he listened to the, well, commanding tone of the Inquisitor's transmission. The Captain chafed a bit that Thanatos, a man who had not introduced himself—let alone formally identified himself—was giving him orders. Many of Heller's more prideful colleagues would have resented it, but he had resigned himself early in his career to the fact that a lot of things in the Empire made no sense to him. He wondered about the wisdom of these things on occasion (such as devoting so many resources to the Jedi "Purge," for instance, or, in the Empire's zeal to stamp out the brush fires of rebellion, causing far more destruction to a planet and its people than a rebellion ever would have, or could have), but, in the end, he sighed and did as he was told. He had the passivity of a man whose life had been planned for him.

In this case, however, he had no ill will for this Inquisitor, since Heller, too, had intended to take the ship. Or have a go at it, at least; the Marathon had been assigned to patrol this region, and, as a result, its stormtrooper complement had been cut in half. Still, half of 9,700 was quite a lot, but if this rebel ship had been able to find itself a crew of droids, what if it had an army droids, too? Unlikely, of course, in a ship of that size, but Heller cringed at the thought of any of his men being killed. He was loathe to take a life, something ironic for a man in his line of work.

Heller welcomed the Inquisitor to return to the Marathon, if he wished, to supervise the operation and provide assistance if need be. Then he swiveled his chair to face the holoreciever once more, and nodded to the man who, despite Heller's request, had not identified himself or what was causing his engine problem. He decided not to press the point. "Very well," he told Drace, "We're sending a team to assist you now. Stand by." He pressed a key on the arm of his command chair and muted the channel, then turned to face his executive officer. "Lieutenant Duvall," he said, "Is the boarding party prepped?"

"Yes, Sir," Duvall confirmed.

"Good," Heller said, "They are go. And I want reinforcements at the ready, too. If there is a Jedi on this ship, he will be very dangerous."

"Really, Sir?" Duvall sounded skeptical, "I thought they were just a lot of magic tricks and wizardry."

"Have you seen what a Jedi's 'magic tricks and wizardry can do to a squad of stormtroopers, Lieutenant?"

"No, Sir."

"As I said," Heller glanced to his tactical display, showing the Marathon and Draco on the map and the Sentinel-class landing craft closing the distance between them, "Have reinforcements at the ready."

* * *

The Sentinel-class landing craft was a tight fit in the Draco's small hangar bay, which included, also, the Inquisitor's ship. Once the shuttle had set down, its ramp opened and a stormtrooper marine with an orange command pauldron--"Rabbit 1"--descended the ramp with a rifle in hand, followed by 5 other stormtroopers similarly armed. 18 more stormtroopers waited inside the safety of the shuttle, as did a duo of Imperial engineers who stood ready to inspect the Draco for damage once the ship was deemed secure. The stormtroopers (and the Sentinel, which maintained its power levels enough to raise its deflector shields at a moment's notice) were ready for anything. Assuming that Drace came to meet them in the hangar, Rabbit 1 would approach him and ask, from beneath that pale helmet of his, "Are you the captain of this ship?" If yes, he would add, "Our engineers will need access to your bridge to run a diagnostics scan to find out what's causing your engine problems, and to shut down any malfunctioning systems if necessary. In the meantime, Sir, your presence is requested on the Marathon for... debriefing."

Enough time would have gone by that Thanatos must have returned to the scene, by now. He would be cleared to land in the Marathon's hangar, or in the Draco's hangar if he preferred.

Next thing i know i try to get a hold of him and he calls me a jedi scum..i ask you just because i keep old jedi relices does that make me a jedi?

My lead enginer driod will show you to my enigne room.." A yellow colored droid walks up to the man and said come with me sir...

As he approached the Destroyer, a small landing craft was docking with the ship that his was attached to. A little bit of relief come to him, knowing that the Commanding Officer had sent Stormtroopers to deal with the man and his ship.

The small fighter slowed as it approached the hanger. Inside, more Stormtroopers were seen, seemingly awaiting his arrival. Moments after setting the fighter down, Kal opened the cockpit and jumped out. One of the troopers met him as he did, "Follow me, sir..." He would give a simple nod to the trooper and would follow his lead through the ship, and up to the Bridge to meet with the XO.

The door would slide open, revealing the many men working at their various stations. Kal could see the man standing there. He turned to the trooper whom had escorted him there, "Thank you, trooper..." He would step forwards, "Captain Heller, I apologize for the abrupt communication earlier. I was wanting to make sure that the man on that ship out there didn't get away."

"I am Inquisitor Thanatos." He would hold his hand out for the Captain to shake, showing that he was wanting to rightfully introduce himself.

"It's quite all right," Heller said to the man, standing from his command chair and returning his hand shake. "It's good to know you. Although," he paused, a wry smile forming on his face as he added, "I suppose the less I know about you, the better." The Inquisitors were possibly the worst-kept secret of the Empire. It was understandable, of course, that Palpatine and the others didn't want to emphasize the fact that Jedi were still throughout the galaxy, and among the people. But many within the Empire, from Imperial senators like Ilanah Thanatos to fleet officers like Heller, had heard rumors of the Inquisitors, nonetheless. Now Heller knew for certain that Kal Thanatos was an Inquisitor and, thus, the suspect on the Draco must, indeed, be a Jedi. This excited Heller, who felt that his footnote in the larger story of the Empire was fast becoming something more; a chapter in and of itself.

He wouldn't confide this to Thanatos, however, inviting the Inquisitor instead to inspect his tactical display, showing the progress of the boarding party. It had feeds to Rabbit 1's helmet camera and a comlink to hear what he, and the suspect, were saying. At that particular moment, Rabbit 1 held a respectful hand to up to the engineering droid, a "halt" gesture. Rabbit 1 glanced at Drace. "My team will need access to your bridge, first," he repeated to him, in case Drace hadn't heard or, perhaps, hadn't understood him, "We will need to run a diagnostics scan and be able to shut down any malfunctioning systems, if necessary. In the meantime, Sir, will you accompany me to the Marathon for debriefing?"

Rabbit 1 didn't like repeating himself, and a part of him suspected that Drace might be delaying them. Maybe his story about Kal Thanatos was true; Rabbit 1, as a mere commander, didn't know or need to know. His assignment was to see to the Draco and to deliver its captain to the Star Destroyer Marathon for questioning. And if he didn't come quietly, well, he and his team were prepared for that too.

Drace smiled and said: that is fine as well I will show you to the bridge then we sha'll go to your ship...

Drace started to walk to the bridge once out of range of the man and in at all possble out of sight of any weapon he rubbed his his right hand hitting a hidden button that would shut down alll sytemes but the droids ..It al so made a small enigne vibarate to simulate a small intrenal exsploestion...It also actavated a driod walk out desiged as drace

Drace didn't want to hurt any one he just wanted it to be almost imposeble fo them to take him any were He didn't want to go..
Drace driod said: Oh no it looks as that explosetion took out the power to the ship Thats not good ...
Drace was smart he had escape pods all ove the place he lanched three as he launched the one he was in but he then pressed a button actavating the droids inside the ship the shiled droid's they came out of the door drace hid them in before Kal came abored .just as the ships power actavated and they out number the squardren 7 to one the fire as drace's pode boosted towards the moon. He hoped he would land on the moon surface.. the other pods would crash land on the moon as well confuseing the destoryers crew even more..

Having taken the invitation to view the feed that was coming from the Jedi's ship, Kal could see that the troopers knew what they were doing. It gave him a bit of relief, but at the same time he knew the Jedi would do what ever it took to get himself out of this situation. Kal, had in fact, been in the same shoes once before. Upon noticing that Drace had gotten out of site, he knew immediately that there was something up. His head would turn to the XO, "Captain, the man is going to attempt to escape somehow. We need to let the troopers know not to let him out of their site. He is a Jedi, and I'm sure that you've heard that they can be pretty crafty at times." It was then that he had seen the Jedi reappear on the trooper's helmet feed. There was something strange about all of this.

"It's too late..." He would say under his breath. He noticed the four pods launching out of the ship's hull. Kal could feel the presence of Drace on one of the pods. A small smirk came to his face, "Pull your men off of the ship, Captain. The Jedi is on the moon without a way off. Now is our opportunity to capture him. If you would, I'd would like a squadron of your men placed under my command and a transport to get us down there. If we are able to capture this Jedi, we can squeeze information about the Rebellion, that he had first stated in his transmission. Information, like this, would be rather important for the Empire...not to mention it would look good on a Captain's service records to have pulled in a Jedi with this kind of information."

(( Human replica droids don't begin to be developed until 5 ABY, which is 15 years after this RP. So I'm going to disregard the part about a "Drace driod." How and why he would have one, even if they existed, puzzles me. ))

Rabbit 1, having been told only an instant before that Drace would now lead him and his team to the bridge, did the obvious thing; nodded and followed Drace, as instructed. When the suspect began to walk unusually fast (as he must have done, in order to be somehow "out of range" of the stormtroopers who were dutifully following behind him), Rabbit 1's suspicions were aroused. The possibility of simply shooting Drace in the back—with a stun blast, of course, incapacitating him rather than killing him—entered Rabbit 1's mind, and became much more appealing when he noticed Drace hitting so many buttons on the control pad on his wrist that it looked as if he were playing it like a piano (it was utterly beyond possibility, after all, that Drace would have had the forethought to program one button to do all of these things—shutting down the ship's systems, blowing up one of the engines, etc.—at the same time).

When the lights went out and an explosion rumbled the deck beneath his feet, Rabbit 1 set his E-11 to stun and ordered his squad to do the same. But before he could fire on Drace, the suspect, somehow, disappeared. Perhaps he'd darted around a corner, or into a secret door. However it happened, Rabbit Team had lost him, and Rabbit 1 ordered them to proceed back to the hangar where the rest of the troops, and the shuttle, were waiting. They would arrive there at about the same time Drace launched his escape pods from the ship. "I think it's about time we leave," Rabbit 1 said through his helmet comm to the pilots of the shuttle. Then, the shielded droids appeared in the hangar, having been released from their oh so cunning and smart hiding places. "Better make it fast, too," Rabbit 1 added. The pilots acknowledged him, and the gunners on the shuttle opened up on the droids with covering fire to allow Rabbit Team to enter the ship safely. With 8 laser cannons, 2 blaster cannons, 1 ion cannon, and 2 missile launchers, the shuttle turned the hangar into something resembling an Independence Day fireworks show—easily disposing of the superior number of droids with the superior firepower of the shuttle. Once everyone was back on board, the shuttle lifted off.

On the Marathon, Captain Heller nodded in grim agreement at the Inquisitor's suspicion that Drace would attempt to escape, as, indeed, a life form was detected in one of the escape pods. "No need," Heller said to Thanatos, raising a dismissive hand at the Inquisitor's concern that Drace would escape to the moon. "Tractor beam, acquire a lock on that escape pod," he ordered. This would be easy to do—only one of them had life readings and it was, thus, obviously Drace. "He's been controlling his ship's systems from that wrist control pad of his, though," Heller observed, rubbing his chin thoughtfully, "Now that he's not on the ship, he might attempt to self destruct it, and I don't want to lose this trove of evidence. Lieutenant Duvall, have unauthorized communications jammed at once." The Lieutenant nodded, and passed the order along to comms. It was done, and it would stop Drace from sending any more signals to his ship and his droids, and stop his droids from communicating with one another, too.

"Tractor beam?" Heller inquired.

"Acquiring the lock now, Captain," an ensign reported.

Indeed, Drace would feel the escape pod jolt around him as it came to a rather abrupt halt, then begin to move, slowly, back in the direction of the Marathon. "Inquisitor," Heller glanced to Thanatos, "It would by honor, if you will kindly proceed to the hangar, to assemble my troops for you there. I can do far better than a squad, though," he added, "Would a brigade be satisfactory? It's not often we capture a Jedi, you see, and my men could use the training and experience." If Thanatos agreed, the brigade would be waiting for him in the hangar, and ready for his orders, by the time that Drace's escape pod was finally pulled inside. Heller was confident that a trained Inquisitor and 1,000 Imperial stormtroopers (and Rabbit Team, which had returned from the Draco along with Kal's ship and crew) assembled in a large hangar bristling with blaster cannons and other defenses would be enough to subdue one Jedi. But just in case, he ordered all blast doors to and from the hangar closed; this Jedi was unpredictable, and the last thing Heller wanted was for him to be loose in the Marathon.

A bit too cautious, perhaps, but Clive Heller was of the opinion that there was no such thing as being too cautious. Trying to anticipate everything, he even ordered the Marathon's starboard ion cannon banks 3 and 4 to stand by to fire on the Draco's engine assembly, just in case it attempted to run—somehow.

Drace knew he was cought but.He also smiled as the jolt hit him.It may have stopped him from sending a signal to his droids but not the Escape podes the hit the moon..They would send a destressingal out into space. No matter if he was cough or not...

Drace started to go into a battle Meditation( It woulld force the crew of the ship to go in a fury apone one a other. They would start to fight amongst one aother)Drace was ok with this ablity but he was sure if it would work on kalbut he knew it very well could work on the weaker minded troopers.Hopeful on the man comanding the track torbeam if he was alread abored the shipif so it would spread even further and deeper into the ship..

Drace knew this would not fool that sith He shook his head .He'll get nothing out of me i know nothing of thoes rebols..Drace then grined and though for a momet

(Re read your post up there Drace. You said design, but it doesn't matter now...)

Upon hearing the Captain address him, Kal turned towards him, listening to the orders he had given out to his men on the bridge. He hadn't ever really been aboard a Star Destroyer, and didn't know of their capability but only having heard the rumors about them. A tractor beam? He had known the principle use of them. Now, he was seeing it in action as it drew the small pod in towards the hanger bay.

It was then that he heard just the rank of his title as an Inquisitor. The Captain informed him that he would be needed in the Hanger, and would be accompanied by not a Squadron of Stormtroopers, but rather an entire Brigade. Kal would nod to the Captain, "Thank you, Captain. I'll make sure that Jedi doesn't take the lives of your men." With that being said, he spun around on his heals and headed directly for the lift that had brought him up here in the first place.

Moments later, the doors to the lift opened, revealing the Hanger level to Kal. Upon stepping out, one of the Commanding Stormtroopers approached him, updating him on the status of the escape pod, "Sir, the Jedi's pod has just arrived in the Hanger, we are awaiting further orders." Kal would nod to the trooper, "Good, Trooper. I want all of your men to set their blasters to stun. If things begin to get out of hand, you have the orders to open fire and take him down." The Stormtrooper Commander nodded to him, "Understood..."

Kal immediately moved to the blast doors that would lead him into the Hanger that contained the Brigade of Troopers as well as the Jedi's escape pod and ship. He could feel that all of the eyes hidden behind the helmets of the Troopers were on him. A small path opened up, letting Kal move through them all. He could see the pod sitting there. A small smirk came to his face as his left hand lifted up. As soon as his hand came up, the door to the pod would rip off. His right hand, at the same moment, reached down to his belt, pulling his lightsaber off and igniting it. A crimson blade emitted from the silver hilt. Kal's voice would echo as he called the Jedi out, "Come out, come out little Jedi. We know you are in there..." Behind him, the Trooper's blaster rose as the door flew off. All of them, prepared to take the Jedi out at a moments notice.

The former Republican commander was standing inside the bridge of the Freedom. It was a Venator-class star destroyer he kept after he defected from the Galactic Republic/newly-formed Galactic Empire once Order 66 was issued. He was a commander of a small-sized fleet of the non-clone forces that compromised the very small numbers of Republican military during the Clone Wars. Commander Sushere had been fighting against the Separatists to prevent them from supplanting the Galactic Republic as the government in power. At the time, he knew the Republic were full of corrupt, squabbling delegates. The only thing that really kept him from switching sides were the soldiers and the Jedi Knights he fought side-by-side during the Clone Wars. At least, the Republic had a military pride. His allegiance was gone once the clones turned on the Jedi.

The days of the Clone Wars were long gone, and he was simply fighting for something much bigger. Commander Sushere and his men were and still are fighting for freedom that the galaxy so rightly deserves after countless atrocities by the Galactic Empire. The Freedom was doing a routine sweep in the deep space some light years away from Tarabba System. They were trying to find and develop a base of operations, not that they didn't enjoy using the Venator as the mobile base of operations for about a decade now. Most of the crew stayed together, but there were some that were either killed in action against the Empire or simply left to better support their families. Unlike the Imperials, Dustil had at least an understanding why some of his men had to leave. This was military, yes, but not an official one. Dustil may have run things like a military officer, but his men is now a rebel faction fighting against the Empire. There are no official acts of treason if a man or a woman left his faction, unlike the Empire.

"Sir! There's a distress signal emitting from inside the Tarabba Sector. Apparently, the Utapau System!" A communications officer would shout out, and got the Commander's attention. He turned his attention away from the space and walked toward the man. "That's Imperial territory." Dustil simply spoken in a firm tone. He would love to pick up some action with the Imperials, but he'd have to know how many are crawling within the Utapau System. That didn't give him much time to make a decision. The distress signal were likely someone who harbors some hatred for the Empire, as an Imperial would have simply sent out a message to a nearby world and have themselves picked up. No, it was a rebel. Perhaps a rebel without help, deep entrenched into the Imperial territory. It also means Imperial reinforcements may be on their way, that is if they aren't already there. The Commander walked over and sat down on the command chair, "We have to take the risk." That was being said with a heavy sigh. "Send the pilots to the hangar bay and get in the fighters and bombers just in case."

He barked out a couple more orders, "Get the crew to the turrets, and cannons. Get someone over to the tubes as well! The shields up! We're going to Utapau!" A standard Venator holds 8 DBY-827 heavy dual turbolaser turrets, 2 medium dual turbolaser cannons, unknown numbers of turbolaser cannons (in this case, four), 52 Point-defense laser cannons, and 4 heavy proton tubes as its armament. The Freedom have does have that numbers. However, because twenty-five percent of his crew have left the ship over the years, the standard number of crewmembers went from 7,400 to 5,550. It does put extra responsibilities in each man and woman, but they've managed it pretty well so far. The Commander also made sure his crew were good at multi-tasking, a skill that is going to be valuable when coming up against multiple enemies.

After moments of putting the soldiers under his command in place, the Freedom had entered into hyperspace. Hopefully, they'd get there in time to find out whoever sent this distress signal before the Imperials gets a hand on it.

"The Inquisitor seems to have this well in hand," Heller said to no one in particular, nodding, from his command chair on the bridge, at the holofeed from the hangar. Indeed, the stormtroopers—and the crew, for that matter—were not, in fact, fighting each other in a frenzy of Drace-inspired rage. Battle meditation was a power that even Emperor Palpatine had not mastered (14 years later, at the Battle of Endor, Palpatine would have his Force-sensitive subordinate, Grand Admiral Declann, do battle meditation for him. Despite this, the Rebels would show no sign of being influenced by his attempted manipulation of them. Indeed, they would eventually win, and Declann, as well as Palpatine, would perish. The point being that the tremendously powerful battle meditation that Drace was attempting to do was far beyond his ability). "So," Heller said, glancing at Lieutenant Duvall, "Time to do our part. Lieutenant, is Rabbit Team still on stand by?"

"Yes, Captain," Duvall said, upon glancing at his datapad to be certain of this.

"Good. Have them reinforced as needed, and assign them a squad from the 110th engineers division. Once prepared, send them back to the Draco to assume control of the vessel."

"Yes, Sir. And shields?"

Heller raised an eyebrow. "Once Rabbit Team is clear, keep particle shields and deflectors up, even displacement," he said. He felt a need to explain himself, however, and went on, "One thing we know about this suspect is that he's modified his ship in unusual ways. If he has more droids on it, and if Rabbit Team is repulsed, I don't want the Draco opening fire on us when we least suspect it." Again, he was being, perhaps, too cautious. But considering the number of things that could go wrong in this unusual case, he wasn't going to take any chances. "Ion cannon batteries still standing by?"

"Yes, Captain."

"Good, good." Heller directed his attention back to the holofeed from the hangar, watching as Rabbit Team's Sentinel-class landing craft once again lifted off, then focusing his attention back on where the Inquisitor had the escape pod surrounded. He couldn't help but notice, out of the corner of his eye, that Duvall and a number of other officers leaning over to do the same—the Jedi were legendary; they'd heard a lot about them, but never seen one and couldn't resist trying to (especially from the safety of the bridge). Heller didn't blame them, and didn't say anything about it as he continued to watch, unaware that the so called Freedom was fast approaching the scene in hyperspace. It couldn't be too close by, however, or else Heller would have detected it long ago, before he received the distress signal. Upon receiving it, it had taken 15 minutes for the Marathon to travel to the scene ((see post #49)). It would thus take at least 15 minutes and possibly 20 to 25 for the Freedom to arrive there, too. So far, only 5 or so minutes had elapsed and, thus, the Freedom couldn't be expected immediately ((not within the next round of posts)).

Drace stoped his medation seeing that it wasn't working.Drace: walked of the escape pod and said:So you want to talk to me Sith or do do you want to fight me i rather not do ither.Drace smiled I would rather do niether.
Just as rabbit would exit the docking bay roller modefied roller droids rolled out and they had to go through a narrow path only bigg enough for one trooper at a time only wide eough for a person to carrey a blaster pistolthe droids sheild's were modefiled to take and blast from a rifle or pistol. If the used a thremal or ion pulse the surronding pipes would explode the areh was clearly marked no explostons or electrical discharged in basic..
The droids started to fire apone the troopers to force them back as more droids came from behide them thes were heave droids with a slight diffrent's to them they were heavely modefide..They would iether leave or die there chioce..Modfie as the hade a sheild sround them as well.

His eyes focused on the man as he walked out of the escape pod, believing he had a choice in what was going to be happening. With every word that came out of his mouth, Kal laughed louder and louder. He couldn't believe that this Jedi had the audacity to think he was running the show at this moment.

His head turned slightly back to the troopers, "Keep your blasters trained on him. Don't let his hand move towards one of those sabers. If he does, take him..." The troopers responded by quickly adjusting their aim on the Jedi, ready to fire at any moment. Kal shook his head as it came back to face the man, "You really think that you have the ability to make me just let you go like that. Oh man, you are really messed up in the head." His eyes focused on him even closer, mainly at that wrist band that Captain Heller had pointed out to him. It was what he used to control the ship.

A small chuckle came out of his mouth at the Jedi's words, "Measly little threats, Jedi. If you truly knew what an Ion Cannon did, you'd know the way it effected the things it shoots." There would be a slight pause in his sentence as he took a few steps towards him, "So, which is it? Thirty or ten? Honestly, death doesn't scare me. Does it scare you, Jedi? If it does, I suggest just giving up and coming with us calmly. You have no need to worry about us killing you, that is not what we do, unlike you, who wants to blow his ship, killing himself, myself, and all of these Troopers." He would disengage his lightsaber, letting his hand drop to his waist.

"So, come with me....or let your ship kill us all? Which one will it be? Tick tock, Jedi, tick....tock."
