Even with the Freedom's shields concentrated to stern, it was only a matter of time—and not much time, at that—before the fusillade from the Marathon would punch through to the delicate engines (and the superstructure, slender and vulnerable) beneath the shields. In fact, the report on the damage to the Freedom's engine that Xandra had received was premature; at least 1 of its 8 engines (and probably more than 1) would be put out of commission, surely, by the Marathon's punishing turbolaser fire. Even if only a small fraction of it made it through the shields, it was enough to shatter the delicate sublight engines. Worse, though, were the ion cannons—while turbolasers needed to punch through shields, through armor, through hulls, and only then damage the components and circuitry inside, ion cannon fire needed only to overpower the shields, then it pounded the engine assembly like an oppressive heat; the armor would conduct the ion current, so would the hull, and so would the components and circuitry, spreading dysfunction and malfunction among the engines (and anything else in the vicinity, like doors, turbolifts, in some cases ventilation, life support, etc.). In all, it seemed probable that 1 to 2 of the engines would be inoperable before the Freedom escaped, and double that in need of repair.

But escape it did. The Freedom didn't need its sublight engines to jump to lightspeed, after all. The hyperdrive was a different animal, entirely. But the fact remained that it would come out of lightspeed, wherever it did, with a ship and a crew that was wounded, quite a long distance from anywhere, and sooner or later in need of help. Some of its starfighters would join the Freedom in this predicament, but some would not—as soon as the Freedom disappeared to lightspeed, Heller ordered the Marathon's tractor beams to aggressively target the remaining fighters, knowing that without communications, they wouldn't have known the Freedom was about to leave and, thus, would need a few moments to jump to lightspeed themselves. The Marathon having 10 tractor beams, it would no doubt succeed in capturing at least 5 of the starfighters (say, 3 Y-Wings, 1 ARC-170, and 1 V-Wing). Once held in place, the ion cannons—now with nothing else to do—were ordered to fire on them, to disable them. The other, retreating starfighters who witnessed this could do nothing to help, unless they, too, wanted to be captured.

Some, perhaps 1 or 2, of the unfortunate pilots might decide to kill themselves rather than be captured. But most people, as a rule, find it rather harder than it seems to put a blaster to one's head and pull the trigger, even in a predicament as grim as this.

Heller, for his part, breathed a sigh of relief when the Venator-class Star Destroyer disappeared and its fighters began to follow. With this sigh went most of the tension in his shoulders, arms, and legs. That could have been a lot worse than it was, he thought. "Good work, everyone," Heller said when he had found his voice again, and the cheers of celebration on the bridge had subsided into conversation. They listened as he spoke, however. "But let's stay sharp," he went on, "We've celebrated twice now, let's hope we don't need to again. Now," he glanced to Lieutenant Duvall, "Damage report."

As he listened to the damage—none of it significant, as Xandra had suspected—the questions arose again in his mind of who those people were, and what they were doing here. More questions to ask the suspect, Heller thought as his gaze drifted back to his tactical display, and the holofootage from the hangar. He noticed, then, that shots were being fired. Lightsabers were ablaze. He would see to that in a moment, as he noticed Duvall was nearing the end of his damage assessment.

"... are now confirmed sealed," Duvall went on, "Preliminary figures are 4 dead, 2 wounded, and 5 missing, presumed dead. The wounds are reported to be burns, and the missing are believed to have been lost to space."

Heller lowered his head, took off his cap and ran a gloved hand through his hair, then sighed again. "What of the fire in compartment M512?" he asked.

"It's been extinguished, Sir. Also, HTL B1 has been shut down and the coolant line sealed, for the time being. They're cleaning it up now, Sir. They're saying that HTL A3 will require a replacement elevation pivot."

"All right," Heller said, "Thank you, Lieutenant." He placed his cap back on, cleared his throat, and returned his attention to the tactical display. "Deck Officer Janes," he said into his comm. The sound of blaster fire could be heard on the other end, and Heller raised his voice accordingly, "We have captured fighters to pull into the hangar, but it seems that this suspect is... dangerous. I'd rather keep these fighters away from him, so we'll hold them in place for the time being. Advise the Inquisitor when you can, though, that we need to clear the hangar."

"Yes, Sir," the Deck Officer's voice came over the comm.

"And Janes?" Heller added, "Be safe."

"Yes, Sir."

The Inquisitor smirked as the Jedi finally gave up. Deck Office Janes would have quickly approached him, informing him that they were needing to clear the hanger for the incoming captured fighters. He would nod to him, "Not a problem. Go ahead and have your men detain the Jedi and transport him to the detention level. Have them take every precaution. I want his arms and legs secured. After he is secured, no one opens that door without myself in attendance, understood?" The Deck Officer would nod and begin shouting out orders to his troops, "Secure that Jedi!" He pointed to his men and selected which ones that were to be the 'arresting' troopers.

They would disperse, grabbing a hold of the Jedi's arms and legs, lifting his limp unconscious body off of the hanger floor. They would carry him off to the detainment level, escorted by the Inquisitor. It would leave the hanger bay open for the Captain's men to bring in the captured fighters.

A grey-haired man would hurry down the corridor, catching up with Thanatos on his way to the detention center. "Inquisitor," he called to him, saluted, and fell into step beside him, "I'm Dr. Mauve, I head the infirmary aboard the Marathon. Captain Heller congratulates you on the capture of your man, and he says I'm to be at your disposal to help you subdue him, if you'd like. I can give him a sedative, for example—not to knock him out, but to dull his senses and make him unable to use the, uh, Force." Dr. Mauve's hesitation over the word 'Force' suggested a trend that was becoming increasingly common in the Empire: disbelief in the Force. Oh, how soon the galaxy forgets. The doctor seemed to be a good man though, otherwise. The coat of his uniform was unbuttoned, and its sleeves were rolled up. A pair of antiseptic white gloves hung from his back pocket, and he carried with him a satchel with a red cross on it—he had been treating the wounded from the Marathon's skirmish with the rebels.

Meanwhile, the hangar was indeed cleared—although quite a few stormtroopers remained to help pacify any unruly pilots—and the captured fighters were pulled in. The pilots could try to resist, but there wasn't much point. If they did, they would stunned, as Drace was. They, too, would be brought to the detention center (although they would be kept apart from Drace, who would obviously be considered a dangerous prisoner). They would be interrogated and—the interrogators being quite aware of the fact that the rebels had killed several of the Marathon's crew—indeed, they would be interrogated mercilessly. Perhaps 1 man can stand up under torture, and refuse to reveal any information about Dustil Sushere and his rebels. Perhaps 2 men could stand up under torture. But could 3? 4? 5? More likely than not, someone would talk. When it was done, Heller fully expected to have the name of the Freedom's commander.

Once the Marathon was finished with the fighters, they would be impounded as evidence and cleared from the hangar to make room for the Draco. A lot of time would be spent searching the ship for droids, weapons, illegal modifications, and other evidence. How Drace came into possession of these items would, no doubt, be yet another question for the Inquisitor to ask him during his interrogation. Once the Draco was secure and High Command was informed of the incident, the Marathon would depart the Utapau system.

Drace squinted his eye's ..He wasn't knocked out he just looked to be thoe he was in some pain his force sheild took most of the energy and reflected it around his body a dispelled it..Drace grined a bit knowing if he did any thing now he would be defantely knock out for sure.

So he would wait untill he was ither locked up or put inthe room to be sudated ither way he would escape.
The reb's were not his consern but if he got them out as well all the better but he was going to escape regardless
Then he would go after jinta thoe he was a jedi he was a mandalorain formost thus his armor and that it was made of mandalorain iorn...

So he wasn't to consern about what he would do after he escaped...All he had to do is to escape...

(Welcome aboard, matey.)

The footsteps were heard by the Inquisitor just before his title had been called out to get his attention. Slowly his head turned to see a man catching up to them. He would nod to the salute and hear that this man was at his disposal. Interesting, he thought. The things that his title gave to him at his disposal were amazing. He knew that they were high in the Empire's food chain, but didn't know just how high.

He nodded to the doctor as he noticed the items that were on him, "Thank you for your help, doctor. At first I hadn't thought that I would need assistance with this one, but he had proven to me to be a nuisance, so a sedative would in fact be useful." He would look at the Jedi that was being carried down the hall. He had a strange feeling about all of this. Did the Jedi give up too easily? Could he have been attempting to fake all of this?

His attention turned back to the good doctor, "We may need more than just one shot of that sedative. I want him to no only not be able to use the Force, I want him barely conscious. I don't want him escaping before I am able to detain him in ways that I know he won't be able to get out of." The men carrying the Jedi would turn into one of the detainment rooms, letting his body drop right on the ground. Two of them would pick him up by his arms and toss him onto the bench. The other two would move in and strap his arms and legs down, nodding to Kal telling him that their job was finished.

Kal would turn to the doctor as the Troopers moved off to the door, blocking it off and keeping their rifles honed on him, "Now, how about we make sure this Jedi is truly secured, eh Doctor?"

"Certainly, Inquisitor," Dr. Mauve said as he set his satchel down on a table and rummaged through it for his jet injector, then finding the right sedative and loading it into the small, hand held device. When pressed against Drace's arm, a pull of the trigger would inject the sedative and put him close to unconsciousness in a matter of moments--assuming Mauve had calculated the dose correctly, from what he assumed the suspect's weight, mass, etc. to be. Detailed measures of this would be preferable, but there wasn't time for that in this case. Ordinarily, as a doctor who was sworn to "do no harm," Mauve would be reluctant to participate in an interrogation. But having just been treating the burns of the Marathon's crew and assuming that Drace and his rebel friends were responsible for it, he didn't have much sympathy for him. Plus, if even half the things he'd heard about Jedi were true, even if the doctor was doubtful about the Force he knew Drace could potentially harm many, many more men. He had to be sedated.

Having cut away Drace's sleeve, Dr. Mauve pressed the jet injector to the suspect's arm and, assuming the suspect didn't resist, he'd pull the trigger.

(( this NPC is all yours from here on, Kal. I'll step in again if you need me, but for now I'm going to kick back. It's all you and Drace. ))

Joe looks at the progress he and Tyler have done to the hunk of junk they both must call home for the remainder of their lives as seeing as how they are fugitives of a lie that the Chancellor brainwashed a outstanding Jedi who at one time was the respected Anakin Skywalker the circumstances into his betrayal is still unknown even to Joe and to every other Jedi only to those who were close to him would know but he still thinks right onto now nine years later of that dreaded day the day Democracy died and the Empire was born it still haunts him. even if he has a new identity those days and years after still haunt him but that is the past he has to let it go he knows it troubles Tyler he lost so many friends those years ago but he is handling it quite perfect.

Joe then walks down the ramp as he takes a look at the many upgrades both he and Tyler have made to the gunship removing damaged systems replacing it with many new ones painting the the outer skin of the gunship to a greenish red camo look putting on a Mandalorian symbol that a friend of Joe's still uses and in turn he will meet up with once their able to leave Mos Eisley spaceport the gunship is almost ready about 99.8% complete all that is left to do is calabrate the engines and get the hyperdrive console from Wattos and he will be set to leave he is impressed with the technological advancements that tyler was able to do to the galaxy map computer along with the pilots and co-pilots chairs along with six to eight seats for whatever prisoners they capture to get the funds.

Joe was able to get all the food supplies and water supplies to their foot replicators now what he needs to do is finish the repairs on the fuel nessels then they will in possibly a week or so be able to leave this place Mos Eisley but not Tattooine first off they have to get noticed perhaps a visit to Jabba the Hutt would make themselves famous doing odd bounties for him some smuggling jobs to get funds anything is possible as their journey is not over not by a longshot.

Tyler is well versed in many things the force being able to fix alot of things much like what general skywalker was but as for being poweful int he force that wasnt he strong suit he is powerful but he never really used it it was more his saber techinues he worked on and now that saber training is going to be gone as he has to go with a blaster which is so uncivilized and a blaster rifle to keep in with the disguise he has to do to stay out of the Imperial clutches. Keeping with his new disguise its been three weeks and when Joe got the gunship for their new lives it was a piece of junk about ninty nine percent of the controls and parts had to be replaced the engines never ran its was a hell of a fight to get all the new parts in but he was up for the challange he can be proud with what he has done in three weeks he has taken everything out of the V2-Dclass Corillian gunship and transformed it into what he would invision his ship would look like, but when Joe sold the V-wings he gave the dealer the entire fighter including the expensive cloacking devices he could have used them for not a cloak but a alternate power source that is what he is missing for the dampening fields in the prisoner chairs as well as a holding field, his special modifications have made this gunship unlike any ship that is in the galaxy from the outer skin it would look like any other Bounty Hunting vessel but from the inside its completely different all the old controls are gone replaced with slightly newer ones all the modifications done by him some done by Joe, only thing left now is to figure out with what limit funds they have how he will be able to run an alternative power source without dis-assembling his and joe lightsaber and using the crystals.

Having sensed that there was an increase in Drace's connection to the Force, Kal knew that there was something wrong with the situation. A barrier would have began to expand from the Jedi's body. Reacting instantly, cause he never let his guard down, Kal's right hand came up and pulled the good doctor quickly away and across the room to safety. He wouldn't lose anyone during the capture of this Jedi. His left hand came up, still within the time that Drace was slowly expanding his pathetic little barrier. Obviously the Jedi didn't fully understand the power that he was so fond of. Within the second that he had, Force Energy was pulled in around his hand, concentrating in the palm of his hand. Out from Kal's hand, the concentrated Force Repulse shot out towards Drace, pushing right through the Force Barrier, that only protected from physical attacks. There was no way that the barrier would have blocked it, and no way that Drace would have been able to continue the barrier. His concentration had to be fully on the barrier for him to keep it up, and the Repulse would have broken what little concentration Drace had on his power.

This would have provided time for the Troopers to open fire, stunning the Jedi and fully knocking him unconscious.
