| She had spent so much time on Coruscant, her accent from the Freeworlds was nearly interchangeable with a Coruscanti one at this point. It had proven useful the past couple of months that she was supposed to be waiting for clearance to leave the planet with her former boss, Mical de Crion. It was, however, time spent in the underworld, in many a cantina, gaining information. If it were one thing she was good at, it was gathering intelligence... many said she should have joined Imperial Intelligence or the Imperial Security Bureau, if it were for her total ideological opposition to the Empire. She, like her former boss, believed in the Republic, and still did. But if it were one thing that she had learned as a universal truth, people talked when they were drunk. Be it bad memories wishing to be long oppressed, usually by the alcohol... only to be tormented by them after a certain level of inebriation, or little secrets they liked to share to brag. Being a beautiful woman aided her in this fact, because it was always the men, and maybe a few women from time to time, who sought to impress her enough to bed her. It never worked for them, for she kept the booze running until they were passed out as a slobbering mess, heaped on the bar; after which she left, information secured and dignity still intact. Tonight was no different. "You know, I'm in this unit... in the Imperial Military. I'm in the Army, did I tell you that?" said the man, in a heavy slur, and alcohol soaked black Imperial military uniform. At this point, she had discerned that he was not a pilot, definitely not a Stormtrooper (because he could actually have sex with her; a blatant lie, but amusing... until he revealed an erection through giving her the full monty), but in fact a Commando. Three of the personnel types she knew to wear the black uniform. "It a special unit. No one knows about it!" he said, laughing, and attempting to hush her. She was looking straight forward, head resting in the hand of her upright left arm. She nodded occasionally, even gave a convincing "uh-huh" when needed, but was otherwise going through a process of both tuning the man out and hearing the important parts of his stories. "We get lots and lots of training... led by this Corellian fella, has sideburns and a mohawk lookin' thing, but they call it something else..." he said, now lost in thought. "A fauxhawk," she said absently. "YEA! THAT! Damn, you're one smart piece of ass!" he said, giving her a good spank. It was very tempting to have him in a blubbering, broken heap on the floor in under ten seconds, but she often had to resist the urge in these situations. "Anyways, this guy... Karathas... Corath.... Karth.... Johnson.... eh, I can't remember his name... anyways, he's supposedly this bad ass with a bunch of training. But I'm better than him..." he said. "Oh, really? How's that?" she asked, mentally getting ready to leave. "I fought him once. I lost, but that's cause he cheated!" the man claimed. She wanted, so badly, to begin banging her head on the bar counter. Instead, she gave a come-hither finger motion to the bartender, who proceeded to line up three shots of some unidentifiable liquid for the man. "I'll be in the bathroom, big boy," she said, giving him a pat on the shoulder. "I'll be here!" he exclaimed. She nodded her head, 'Yea, you will,' she thought to herself. Instead, she moved right out of the cantina, with the man passed out by the time she had hit the door. She didn't know what it was, but every undercity bar on Coruscant she had worked in, once her marks hit a certain point, she had to order a "shot of your strongest stuff", which would always knock them out. She had heard from an informant that she had worked with that whatever it was usually did the job between one to four shots, was some greenish-blue substance, and causes severe gastro-intestinal issues once the victim came too, and victim was indeed a fitting word, because they usually wished, not only from the hangover they woke up to thanks to her, but her little trick itself, had them wishing they were dead. She found the man useless... little did she know she could have gotten a great bit of information out of the drunken, special Commando dropout, and feed it along to people that could do something useful against the unit led by Captain Orion Karath. Instead, she walked up to the upper city, into the Senate District. There, now that it was morning, made her way to the apartment of Illanah Thanatos, hoping to catch the Senator before she left for the morning, only to find she was gone. It was no problem, she had long lost any interest, having trolled the undercity for months now. She proceeded to head to Eastport and purchase transport to Chandrila, amongst the dwindling Clone Wars refugee population. They were heading to Chandrila to make a fresh star, and in a sense she was too, which she did notice the irony in. After a day's travel, she found herself standing outside the Senator's home, and after a moment, approached the entrance.

| "Riley, if I said it once, I have said it a million times, its fine. It wasn't your fault at all." Ilanah rebutted to yet another apology from him in regards to the issue that had arisen just a few days previous. The Senator had her leather satchel slung over her shoulder and was clothed in a long gown of sapphire hued silk that matched her eyes almost perfectly. "And I am lucky that you are fine." She added as she swung the front door open to go out it, though her back was to the opening as she was looking at the ashamed body guard. Almost immediately after she opened the door Riley drew his side arm, a plain looking blaster that had taken him not only through his military training but also through his tours in the Clone Wars. "Riley!" She exclaimed, noting immediately that he wasn't aiming at her, but just over her right shoulder. With one of his hands he pulled the senator away from the open doorway and pushed her gently to the side and out of view, an action that she did not protest. "Who are you?" He demanded, not taking any further chances. The last had been close enough, and he already felt like a failure for not protecting the Senator the way he should have. Sure, the woman looked harmless enough, but she could have been anything. Changeling or force user...anyone could have been an assassin. Times were uncertain and he refused to take a risk on even such an innocent (not to mention beautiful) looking woman. "Riley please....this is very unbecoming....you know that we are...." Ilanah said, though he kept his blaster trained on the girl and his eyes watched every move that she did or did not make. The Senator moved around the corner again, having taken a moment to put her satchel down. Her gaze turned to the girl, and she narrowed her eyes. "I know you, do I not? I have seen you around the Senate rotunda, but it has been many months...." Riley still did not let down his guard, and the two others were nearby just in case.

| She immediately raised her hands in innocence when the door had swung open and Senator Thanatos' reliable bodyguard had pulled his sidearm on her. She was aware of the events of a few days ago, and it was understandable. She was no longer wearing anything that remotely identified her as Tapani, let alone having held in any position of considerable power a few months ago. Today, she was dressed in Coruscanti commoner clothing, with a plain-looking blue cloak over them. Only when she had reached the front door a few moments ago, did she pull down her hood. "Yes, Senator," she said, in a smooth voice, almost angelic. It was now laden with her Freeworlds accent. "I am Séraphine Dominique Leroy, former Staff Aide to Mical de Crion," she spoke after a moment. Despite it only being used for formal documents and identification, she had a habit, out of formality, of using her second name to introduce herself to everyone. It was a habit she had had since she was a little girl. After a few moments for the situation to, hopefully, cool down, she spoke again. "I come as a messenger, for Mr. Crion could not come to visit you himself. He spoke very highly of you, Senator, and hopes that you can help him. May I come in to speak with you?" she asked, still standing with arms raised, attempting to look as unthreatening as possible.

| Riley did not relax, nor would he likely do so until he was sure that the woman was indeed harmless and no threat to his Senator. Ilanah hesitated for a moment when she heard where the girl was from and who she was. "Ah yes....I....I do remember now. Of course." She stepped out onto the porch and looked down the way a bit to see if the Stormtroopers that Moff Brandt had sent were still there. While they were not in plain view, it was likely that they were still lurking nearby. "Did anyone see you, Ms. Leroy?" She noted the hood of the cloak and thought for a brief second that if she had it up, they might not have seen her face. Her gaze went back to Riley, who had relaxed a little. "He will just need to check you for weapons, I am afraid. Not my choice. Chandrilians are peaceful, you know, but...." The Senator trailed off and let out a little sigh before she would turn back into the house. The bodyguard stepped forward. He was beefy, to say the least. A hulking ex-soldier that, after the war, had to seek other means of employment as he was no longer needed in service. "Miss." He said as he holstered the sidearm and folded his arms across his chest. The tanned flesh bore scars and imperfections from war. He would proceed to check her for any weapons on her person, before, if he was satisfied with her lack of firearms, he would let her follow the Senator into the manor and pull the door closed behind all of them.

| She smiled a bit and shook her head. "No, madame. I am very good at my true job," she said. For indeed, while being Crion's staff aide, she double, and truely served him, as his personal intelligence agent. She was often unseen, as was the case now. She had observed the patterns of the Imperial presence around Senator Thanatos' home. And while perhaps the first few weeks they would be dilligent, by now it had become probably nothing more than a easy assignment that led to rest and relaxation while being paid for it. Even if she were seen, she would be unrecognizable, from the dirty appearence of her face, to a change in her normal hair, if anyone did see her, they would assume she was some refugee or a beggar who happened to stumble upon the Senator's house. Were they too listen, they would be in for a treat, for she had all manner of devices. From one that would black any attempt of an identification, causing her to be shown as an woman by the name of Jacqueline Thomas, a refugee from the Outer Rim sieges that had been relocated to Coruscant. Some heartfelt story about her family being slaughtered by the CIS, and her having to survive in a warzone as a young teenager was associated with the name. It was all fabricated, but no one would be able to tell. She also had another device her, to jam any listening attempt. It wouldn't be all that noticeable, just assumed to be an equipment malfunction rather than cause from an anti-espionage device. She did have a small holdout blaster, which upon finding, she would relent to him, as well as a knife. "For my own protection," she noted, but being perfectly content with him taking them. She lowered her arms, and followed the Senator in. If anyone were watching, it would appear to probably take care of the stray. Upon entering, however, she turned to the Senator. "Two question, is your home clean of surveillance equipment, and may I freshen up before we begin our conversation?" she asked.

| Ilanah Thanatos had taken a seat in the sitting room while Riley took the young woman's weapons. He still was not thrilled about letting the stranger in, because of what had happened the last time the Senator let someone enter her home. "As far as I am aware, Ms. Leroy. My guards scanned the entire house and found nothing with the scanners." But in those times, one could never be sure. Technology was always advancing. "Of course you may." She said, rising to her feet a moment later. "Let me show you where it is." Ilanah would lead her down the hallway to a rather large bedroom, obviously for guests, with a private bathroom attached. "Right through there. I will get some towels." The Senator would dissapear into the hallway for several long moments and return with a small stack of clean, fresh light blue towels and a bottle of soap. "Will this do?" She asked as she laid them on the end of the bed. "I could find you something to wear if you would like me to have your clothing washed too. There is a robe hanging on the hook on the back of the bathroom door if you decide that is what you want." Ilanah offered a small smile and then exited the rooms to give the girl some privacy.

| She smiled, "That will not be necessary, Senator. It is merely my face and hair that needs washed. My clothes, and the rest of my body, are quiet clean... thankfully." she said upon arriving in the room. Once the Senator left, she did her own sweep with a small handheld device, which confirmed what the Senator's guards had reported, thankfully. Once she was convinced they would not be monitored, she walked into the bathroom, removing the cloak to reveal her commoner clothing. It would be nice to change into better clothes, she did not have the luxury today. After five minutes of washing her face and hair, and then drying it, she left the guest bedroom, cloak in hand, and returned to the sitting room where the Senator was at. "I apologize for that, under better circumstances I would have looked much better for visiting you, Senator." she said, taking a seat. After systematically folding her cloak into her lap, she settled herself in a chair, and cleared her throat rather quietly before speaking. "I am here, on behalf of Mical de Crion. He knows that while you present the appearance of an Imperial lackey, but you are truly a Republic loyalist. There is no need in presenting your fake self to myself or Mr. Crion any longer. And he also, apologizes for the media ad that his organization put out against you." she said.

| Ilanah waited patiently and Riley paced by the large windows of the sitting room. He looked like a caged tiger pacing back and forth there. "Riley....I really wish that you would relax a little. You are making me nervous." She offered a soft smile and he grunted in response before he hulked off to the kitchen. "Have some tea! It will help!" She called after him. Just as she was doing that, Seraphine returned to the sitting room, and the Senator sat aside the datapad she had been reading. "I have to apologize, Ms. Leroy. Riley is a little....he will be alright in a few days I am sure." She wasn't really sure if he would be or not, but she would find the finest physicians to care for him if he was not. "We were just making preparations to return to Coruscant. Yours is a welcome delay." For the moment, she avoided the subject that the woman had brought up. "How is Mical?" She asked as she stood and smoothed her hands over the bodice of her sapphire gown. "I hope that he is well....as much as can be expected. I wish that there had been something that could have been done...more than what I was able to do." Ilanah murmured as she peered out the window for a moment and then turned her attention back into the room. "Despite that, Ms. Leroy....I am a loyal servant of the Empire....we all are. We have to be as such." She gave a brief smile before she settled back onto the edge of her chair. "Unfortunately, the Republic is dead. Mical knows this...." She eyed Seraphine for a moment to try and read her. yes, she had seen her at the Senate rotunda, and yes, she remembered seeing the girl with Mical de Crion on occasion, but that did not mean that the Senator truly trusted the girl.

| She was entirely understanding the bodyguard's disposition, although some probably would not be. Dodging the subject of the ads, was something she noted. Perhaps a bit of a sore spot. It was indeed regrettable that the All Stars Burn As One Foundation released the ads against her, as well as Senators Lohden, Tobon, and Fowlkes... and perhaps a blessing that upon becoming aware of it, Mical killed the initiative and replaced the entire board of directors. "I understand. He went through a lot, but it may take a more than a few days. I do not mean to impose, but perhaps some time off would do him some good?" she said, making an innocent suggestion... that hopefully, Riley did not hear. "And I apologize for the delay. I had expected you to already be back on Coruscant yesterday, but when I found your office was vacant, I came here in seeking you out." she said. She shook her head at her inquest about Mical. "I'm afraid Mr. Crion is not well. He had been trapped in his ship on Coruscant for months, but made it home to Tallaan yesterday. Unfortunately, while he has been gone, inexplicably, extremely strong public support has turned into strong opposition. There were riots last night due to his return, and he resigned his post as Premier of the Tapani Freeworlds. Now, he plans on focusing on his charities and vineyard," she said, taking a breath. "I'm afraid the Empire was behind this opposition against him. In the last election for Premier, he won ninety percent of the vote... someone like that doesn't become a pariah in just a couple of months." she said, recalling what had been relayed to her through various means and sources. After she spoke the Republic, she suddenly felt as if she made a big mistake. Immediately an escape plan formulated in her mind, and while she didn't like it, she would use it... as much as it would compromise her. Her assignment was too important to be caught or anything of the sort. Despite her gut instinct to run, she stayed, and pressed the Ilanah. "Senator, remember who I worked for. Remember his speech. I am someone you can be honest with. The Republic doesn't have to be dead... your predecessor believe that... and I know you believe that, no matter what act you put on." she said to her, hoping a pressured step would break through the act.

| "I would have been back on Coruscant already had it not been for my unexpected company a few days ago." She sighed and glanced over her shoulder to see if Riley was nearby, but it seemed he was tucked into the kitchen keeping himself busy with something. "They had a hard time even keeping him at the hospital, so no, I doubt he would take any time off. He just....seems like he needs to feel useful. I am not sure." Ilanah said before Seraphine started talking about Mical. Mical's plight pulled at her heartstrings a bit. The Senator had always liked him, but she was not as outspoken as he was, nor would she ever been able to be. "Well, I worry for him. It is a dangerous place in this galaxy....very uncertain. I wish that there was something I could do something for him." She smiled a little and settled back into the chair and gazed thoughtfully out the window. "What exactly did you need to see me for, Ms. Leroy? Perhaps we could cut to the chase. I hate to come off as rude, but it seems as though you might have an agenda and I am curious as to what that is. Does Mical need something that I can help with?" She asked as she turned her attention back to Seraphine. "The thing about my predecessor is that she is now in hiding...who knows where. Chandrila was stripped of it's ships and put under the protection of the Empire because of her and while she was right, I cannot be like her. I am here to protect Chandrila and it's people, amongst other things...like freedom." She murmured as she leaned back in the chair and crossed her legs under the voluminous skirts of her gown.

| "Yes, the chase, as you aptly put it..." she said, pausing for a moment, before continuing. "The favor the Mr. Crion needs from you, which I am here for, is the location of Mon Mothma; if you can not provide that, then some clue to get me headed in the right direction." she said. It was a monumental favor, but now that he was among the class of former Senator that Mon Mothma was, Crion sought her out, hoping to do something helpful. What that was, would be unclear until the two met face to face.

| A small smirk crossed the Senators face and she almost laughed a little. It was a brief drop of her normal composure. "Of course he would seek her out. It is natural for one ousted Senator to wish to speak to another." Ilanah paused and looked to Riley, who had returned and leaned in the entryway from the kitchen to the sitting room. "Unfortunately, Ms. Leroy, I am not privy to the information in which you seek. I would rather not know....she is safer the less people know. I am sure that you understand." "While I do not believe that she should have been so outspoken and risked Chandrila as she did, I do not want her to be harmed or to fall into the hands of the Empire, you see." Ilanah cleared her throat for a moment and then pulled herself to her feet. "I would like to help Mical more, of course." The fact was that Ilanah knew about where the former senator was, but nothing specific. Chandrila wasn't safe for her, certainly. "I do know someone who may know where she is. I will see if I can contact him on Mical's behalf. Does that sound satisfactory to you?"

| She nodded to the Senator. "It is more than one ousted delegate seeking another, it goes beyond that. I'm afraid I can not speak any more, for fear of word getting out and compromising and advantageous position for both of the former delegates," she said turning to Riley now in the room. Trust, was something that had to be earned with her... especially in her line of work. One meeting, unless the Senator suddenly had the information, was unlikely to form that bond, but it was a start, and she had been more than accommodating already for the unannounced visit. "Please, pass on to your contact, Mical's message, which is simply: 'Contact me,'. I can act is the intermediary between this contact of yours and Mr. Crion, so you can be as uninvolved as possible. No need risking you too, in these turbulent times." she said to her, with sincere concern for the Senator. She was one of the good ones, and she personally hoped she would go far. It was simply a matter of balancing working for the people and keeping the Emperor happy, a balance Mical could not maintain, sadly.

| Ilanah nodded a little as she listened to Seraphine speak. "I truly wish that there was more that I could do, Ms. Leroy. As I said, I do not know her location. I imagine she would stay on the move s much as possible." The Senator paused for a moment. "We were never in the same social circles either, you know....and I expect it is safer for both of us that I do not have the information that you were looking for." She gave an apologetic smile. "Please remember to tell Mical to contact me if he needs anything....here is my....well....lets just say she is my assistant....her card." She took a small plasticine card from Riley that had the contact information for Jules Erins on the back. "And he can contact me directly if needed...Jules just hands my special affairs." "You are welcome to stay the night here if you need to, however. I know the hour is late. If not, Riley would be happy to take you to the spaceport when you are ready to go."

| An Imperial shuttle slowed to almost a halt as it exited hyperspace. Immediately, the shuttle sent their landing codes to the planet, but knew that they would be approved as soon as they were seen down at the planetary command. Initially, the shuttle was carrying two when it departed Coruscant, but upon landing, there would only be one to walk off the vessel. The pilot brought the vessel down into the hanger that was preassigned to him and the Senator. Upon leaving the shuttle to sit there, a transport was ready to take him to his final destiny at the Senator's home. Within just a few minutes, he arrived at the doorstep, then letting himself in. The house was quiet, and unusual quiet to him. Kal could feel the presence that had visited. It was dark, but weak. His deep voice called out from the entry way, "Lana!?" She would be ecstatic that he had finally made his way back home, safe and unharmed.
