| Monor II was a religious world; a religious world in the Doldur Sector and, according to the estimates Ryuun had procured through research and contact with Imperial tax-masters, was lacking in the productivity levels it should have held. Being led by those of a religious nature who were, by and large, at an odds with the Imperial belief system, it seemed ripe for the picking. If Druckenwell, meaning Lomen Ryuun and the productive government in favor with the people, could bring Monor II into a protectorate, it would increase Druckenwell's revenue as well as bring Monor II back into the productive fold. To this end, Druckenwell had sent six ARC-170s, six Actis-class light interceptors, the Carrack-class cruiser Sureshot with its quintet of TIE fighters; the EF76 frigate Tornado with its pair of TIE squadrons; the Arquetins light cruiser Tide and the DP20 flagship Rising Storm.
Anton Rolf, Sky Marshal of Druckenwell, was with the fleet; a show of force, as Monor II was not reputed to have any real defensive fleet. For now, as the ships dropped out of hyperspace, Rolf would conduct scans of the system as the ships spread out to begin a blockade of the planet.
Added (08 Jul 2011, 8:34 Am) --------------------------------------------- The initial mission had gone well, considering only three days had passed. Ships moved in and out of Monor II with efficiency that was the norm, save for Imperial vessels that were meant to mine the cirrifog. Agapos the Ninth was apparently trying to circulate some sort of legislation to limit Imperial mining. It was a small matter on Rolf's plate though. His vessels were busy scanning all in and out-going vessels. All was going well and Major Thomas Matheson, one of Rolf's adjutants, had been sent to the surface to meet with the ruling dignitaries of Monor II alongside the Imperial liaison. The plan was for Druckenwell to commit trade and monies to bolster Monor II's economy in the hope that they might accept it in return for granting Imperial mining corporations rights to the cirrifog without complaint. Of course, Druckenwell was also ready and prepared to assist by placing a customs checkpoint above Monor II and loaning them a small defensive fleet.Added (12 Jul 2011, 5:46 Am) --------------------------------------------- Things in the Senate had gotten ugly, or so the word was. Druckenwell's fleet had been openly threatened by Agapos the Ninth, but Rolf put little in stock of the non-human's words. Unfortunately, the Imperial liaison had been withdrawn back to Imperial Center, leaving Major Matheson to meet with the indigenous population, as well as the human one. So far, his visits to the non-human population had fallen on deaf ears. This was unfortunate as they were the majority. The planet's much, much smaller population of humans, however, backed Druckenwell's idea of a customs station and a Druckenwell-overseen defensive fleet with transition into Monor II's hands over time, as well as trade dealings. There were always dissenting votes amongst the humans, but a majority put them on the side Rolf had hoped for.
Agapos the Ninth was troubling though; the word Rolf had received from Senator Ryuun was that the Senate or members therein might well attempt to remove Druckenwell via force if the sanctions and inquiries did not go through. Ryuun and Rolf were loath to pull additional forces from Druckenwell, but at the same time, it would not do to leave their interests here unguarded. The thought existed that perhaps some of those whom they had aided before in the near-blockade of Aeeq might be willing to assist. Added (14 Jul 2011, 7:19 Am) --------------------------------------------- Additional ships finally arrived from Druckenwell; eighteen ARC-170s and Actis interceptors, the second Arquetins frigate Hurricane alongside two dozen V-wing snubfighters and the Tartan patrol cruiser Vigilance. This would comprise the final bulk of Druckenwell's fleet at Monor II with little held in reserve. Of course, as Monor II was a peaceful place, the vessels were more for Monor II's protection and to guide in the various tugs and container vessels that would be arriving rather than a threatening force.

| On Imperial Center
Its red coloring identified it as a purely diplomatic vessel. It had been presented to her by the King and Queen of her world, an ancient family that had ties to her's. Of course, the ties were centuries old in the making and quite diluted by now, so it wasn't as if they were true cousins. A crew had been picked for it from members of the Empress Teta security forces.
It had been christened the Star Petal on a whim by Avadrie. How many times in a girl's life was she going to be able to name a ship herself? She stood inside the salon pod of the vessel now, packing away what she was bringing with her for the trip to Monor II. She was somewhat nervous about the entire venture. The Senate had turned her request for a male senator to accompany her had turned into something of an embarrassment - for some of them. She smiled, shaking her head at the thought. She had worn the right dress that day it seemed. Two senators had been offering their sons and brothers to attend to her. She imagined it was only their age that had kept them from making similar offers, but as themselves. But more so, she hoped the brewing hostilities wouldn't accidentally get her killed.
She had sent a message to Senator Youngblood, inviting his son to come as an aid. She wasn't sure if he'd accept the offer, as she wasn't sure it was entirely what he had meant when he'd offered his son to go along; but considering he was also the head of the ethics committee it didn't appear seemly for the obvious nepotism to occur, but if the young man came as an aid and was worked just as any other aid would be, she didn't see a problem with it. She surely wasn't going to sleep with him, whoever it was.
She pulled open a drawer underneath the bed in her room, and carefully organized several of its contents. This was the drawer she was keeping her traveling clothes in, as well as her lightfoil and holdout blaster pistol, she couldn't be too careful. In a chest that she'd had Dandric carry in several hours earlier there were more stately dresses and other formal attire, for her expected meetings with this Agapos alien. She had definitely plunged headfirst into her duties as a Senator.
A Transmission sent to Druckenwell forces located at Monor II
Senator volFyr's vessel will be departing Imperial Center within the 36 hours. Will be taking the usual route to Monor II along Imperial trade lines for safety, traveling in the Consular class "Star Petal". We will request escort upon departure from hyperspace and will make contact accordingly. Please advise of any potential hostility in the system upon our arrival. - Zeal Tiyr, Captain, Star Petal

| Sky Marshal Rolf received the message with little issue. It was late, based on Imperial Center time, and the Star Petal's arrival would be something to look forward to. So the Senator from Empress Teta wanted an escort? Well, Rolf could provide that much. Detailing a squadron of ARC-170 snubfighters and the Vigilance to be on standby to await her vessel. If she was traveling the usual trade lines as well, that would take them rather close to Druckenwell and Rolf mentioned such in his reply, as well as assuring Captain Tiyr and the Senator that their safety was paramount at Monor II.

| In the space over Monor II, well clear of the blockade, two DP-20 frigates emerged from Hyperspace. They made no move to attack but had their shields and weapons powered, sending invasive scans out towards the Druckenwellians.. The ships the "Rapier" and "Dirk" carefully manoeuvred keeping a distance from the Druckenwell ships. Their guns swivelled taking aim on critical systems on the opposing ships and scanning for fighters. The Quadlaser banks on the frigates were prepared too, the experienced gunners strapping themselves into their positions and checking power levels on their weapons.
Captain Hunter (commanding the two Alsakan vessels) opened communications to the Monor II government seeking data on the situation, he also opened a comm to the Druckenwell vessels.
"Druckenwell vessels, are you aware you are violating the space of Monor II? Please remove yourselves with due speed bearing off on coordinates six eight seven mark nine four."

| Senator Domon had expressed his feelings into action when he'd stated to Senator Ryuun that he was sending vessels to Monor II. As such, by the time Domon publically committed vessels, they'd already been underway from Sluis Van to Monor II. At last though, they had arrived. In the fore of the group emerging from hyperspace was the Tidal Spear; Sluis Van's reworked Hammerhead II-class heavy cruiser. On board, Rear Admiral Shiss Vaas monitored the arrival of the rest of the small grouping: to either side of the Tidal Spear were a paired modified IPV-1 system patrol craft and Law-class patrol craft. The Law-class vessels split off to form an initial perimeter that was bolstered by two squadrons of TIE fighters that were launched from the final vessel, the EF76 frigate Sthss.
For now, Sluis Van was willing to sit tight; well within range of warming up the engines and moving to counter either side. It was noted that Druckenwell's vessels had not powered their weapons yet and those of the Alsakan Navy had. To be sure of things, the Rear Admiral ordered all vessels to standby.

| The pair of Alsakan vessels would find no blockade. What they would find was a rather recent addition though to the vessels that were considered to be blockading. Druckenwell, it would seem, was building a little something at Monor II. A number of tugs, container transports and transport vessels were busy around the basics of a superstructure that would become the customs checkpoint at Monor II. Fortunately, the building and the civilian vessels were between the Druckenwell Naval Forces and the Alsakan military, which meant that if the pair of DP-20 frigates intended to target the Druckenwell forces, they'd likely need to either round the planet or move 'up' or 'down' relative to the current position of the Druckenwell fleet; at the moment, they'd be firing into a civilian work zone if they continued their way.
Sky Marshal Rolf indeed had not ordered his vessels to go hot on weapons; shields were raised of course, but then again, the shields had been up since the arrival at Monor II. When the communications came through, the Sky Marshal shook his head and motioned for the comm officer to transfer control to his station.
"Well, I'm not quite sure who I'm speaking to in the Alsakan Naval forces, but as far as I am aware, the Senate has passed no law or bill or sanction stating that my forces are violating anyone's space. As such, we'll continue to sit here until either this matter is resolved, Druckenwell instructs us to leave or until the Senate asks us to leave. Until then, I'm more than willing to sit and chat about the weather. How are things at Alsakan these days?"

| The Cronese Mandate had made their choice, they would send aid to the world of Monor II, yet, they knew they'd have trouble getting it there. Those that supported it came up with an idea. A fleet had been gathered to send aid to Monor II, yet it wouldnt all arrive. Half of the fleet was sent out from the space of the Cronese Mandate with a direct route to Monor II. One that would more than likely draw attention of those with in the Empire that wanted to stop the aid from reaching the world. However, there was the second half of the fleet to also wonder about. This fleet had taken a longer berth in their journey, moving around any of the main hyperspace lanes, through what would be called dangerous space, yet it was worth it. The more heavily armed convoy of ships dropped out of hyperspace in high orbit around Monor II.
Captain Harrak had been sent by the Cronese Mandate as the commander of the relief fleet from the Mandate. She was also the one that came up with the idea to split the fleet in half. The first half of the fleet would be held up with out a doubt along the hyperspace lanes. Her half though had left through the back door of the Cronese Mandate space, as to say, and had left earlier than the stated time for the second half of the fleet. As the ships entered High Orbit, Captain Harrak began to give her orders as she stood on the bridge.
"All ships, target the Drunkenwell fleet, do not charge weapons yet, make sure we have target locks." The gunners on the ship nodded as they turned back to their stations and took aim, ready to fire if needed as the Captain opened a channel to the Alaskan fleet. "This is Captain Harrak of the Cronese Mandate relief fleet. The other half of our fleet is on the way. We do expect them to be held up though." The Captain looked back to the screen before her, looking at the fleet that had blockaded Monor II. The flagship of the fleet, a Keldabe Class Battleship named "Vigilance", as well as escorted by three Marauder Class Corvettes that all protected a handful of freighters that held the relief aid.

| The Alsakan ships formed up moving into formation with the Cronese Mandate navy "The weather is fine on Alsakan. This space is Monor II space, they have ordered your removal. Your presence is now an act of war. All citizens of Druckenwell have been ordered to leave as soon as possible." this was broadcast on all frequencies so the Druckenwell workers would hear.
"The illegal installation within Monor II space will be demolished immediately, you are ordered to evacuate presently."
The DP20s formed up alongside the Keldabe-class, forming aid with their quad lasers if a fighter attack was to come. Captain Hunter opened an encrypted channel to the Cronese forces. "Forming up on the flanks of your Capital ship. We are ready to engage at your order. Good Hunting Vigilance"

| Sky Marshal Rolf laughed this time; a genuine belly laugh at the words of the Alsakan leader. His first order then, was to have the comm officer send out a message on Druckenwell's channel, instructing the workers to continue. After all, it was not a war zone and the Alsakan vessels had no right nor permission to fire. Druckenwell, however, at last charged its weapons and began maneuvering away from the planet, more in support of its orbital station.
"Alsakan fleet commander, you have no authority to demolish anything here. Have your Senator take it to the Senate if you don't like it. You fire on us and the sanctions against your worlds will be incredible."
Rolf had cleverly placed his forces behind the civilian vessels, but with more than enough maneuvering room. No attempt was made to interdict any of the Cronese Mandate freighters as they made their way towards Monor II. Rolf did, however, open a channel with the Keldabe.
"Captain, I'm not sure what your purpose here is, but the Alsakans came for a fight. We aren't here for one. I can only hope you will remain neutral."

| "Well, well. No subtlety at all. It's obvious the Cronese Mandate is a lackey of Alsakan. Helm, bring our vessels about to three-six-eight-two."
The Rear Admiral had heard the open threat upon the Druckenwell installation. Personally, he thought it rather crude that Druckenwell had even begun construction of such a thing; nonetheless, orders were orders. His vessels rotated and moved, sliding away and then curving back so that they faced the rear of the Alsakan-Cronese line from a distance of perhaps four kilometers away. With weapons still on standby, Vaas hailed all the ships on an open channel.
"Gentlebeings, there is no need for violence here at all. Druckenwell has drawn its own line; let Alsakan and the Cronese Mandate draw theirs and everyone can sit behind it until the Senate agrees on this matter."

| She had been in her office until just before their scheduled departure time, sending a flurry of replies back and forth to various Senators and Agapos the Ninth himself. She was finding that despite her initial expectation that the worlds involved would stay there hands until an official attempt at diplomacy had been made, she was starting to doubt that possibility, and so she had ordered the Captain to rush their departure. She needed to get herself in the middle.
Captain Tiyr had come to her office and escorted her to the large space port where the Star Petal was docked. Aboard was her delegation of aids. Notably absent was Senator Youngblood's son. She had received no reply from the Senator, and now with her rushed departure it was simply too late. She had gone into her quarters and changed into more comfortable, thicker travel attire. The cold of space still got to her sometimes, despite the mostly luxurious array of the cruiser. She instructed Dandric to wake her when they exited hyperspace, if she was still asleep.
Then, because despite all her travels she usually became ill when she traveled, she took a mild sedative prescribed by her physician, and fell asleep.
Exiting Hyperspace near Monor II
The sleek red, diplomatic vessel broke out of hyperspace not far from the Monor II system, where as the systems were brought online the crew and Captain of the Star Petal put together a picture of just how tense things were becoming in the system. Dandric knocked on Avadrie's door, and then opened it and stepped inside and called her name several times. Groggily, she woke up, thanked him and then got up and closed the door again. She took out her personal computer, and as she was able to reestablish holonet connection once more, she keyed in the last few bits of a proposal she had prepared for the Senate and sent it.
Captain Tiyr ordered the shields raised as a precaution. His primary objective was the safety of the Senator and her delegation, and as the initial sensor sweep revealed a range of armed vessels, raising the shields was a prudent measure he felt. He gave the order for the communications technician to first contact the Druckenwell fleet.
Druckenwell forces, this is Captain Tiyr of the Star Petal carrying Senator volFyr on a diplomatic mission to Monor II. Respectfully request an escort the rest of the way in if you can provide it. Star Petal out.
While they waited for the first response, he had the communications technician send a open wavelength broadcast to all other vessels in the area,
To all forces located in the system, this is Captain Tiyr of the Star Petal carrying Senator volFyr on a diplomatic mission to Monor II. Respectfully request a clear path to the system. Be advised we will be under escort from the Druckenwell Navy, and so I must insist that in deference to the diplomatic markings of my vessel that no hostilities be initiated with the Senator in the middle. Please acknowledge.
Avadrie had discussed this part of their arrival with Captain Tiyr in some detail prior even to their departure. She had felt that requesting a Druckenwell escort would potentially do one of two things, subject them to violence as hostile forces decided that a Druckenwell escort meant she was not impartial, or it would prevent violence as surely firing on a diplomatically marked Senator's vessel who was on a Senate announced mission of diplomacy would invite the Empire's ire, and so for at least a while longer continue to prevent open hostilities.

| To say that Captain Harrak wasnt attentive would be a mistake, the moment that the ships from Sluis Van decided it would be a good idea to take up position aft of the Cronese Fleet she already had her command in. By the time the Sluis Van ships where in place, they would have noticed that the Cronese Mandate fleet had turned itself. They now face both the Drunkenwell ships, and the Sluis Van ships in what one would call a broad side set up. Their weapons having been redirected to follow up on this thought as they both pointed out towards both fleets. Captain Harrak didnt want a fight, but wouldnt back down if one was to be had. That was why her order was already given to have the fighters on stand by. The twenty fighter strong wing that was brought was just waiting to be ordered out.
As she waited a message came through, her lieutenant that she put in charge of the second half of the fleet that was to act as a decoy, had contacted them. The fleet was on its way with the remaining supply ships that had been sent out. At that moment Harrak opened a channel to both sides. "This is Captain Harrak of the Vigilance, our mission here is to ensure that these supplies are received by the people of Monor II. Any action against them will be met with proper action against the aggressors of a peaceful relief work."

| Ralltiir's relief fleet had arrived some time ago, but it wasn't present in the formation beside Alsakan's and the Cronese Mandate's ships. Rather, it was making good on its promise to escort civilian ships peaceably through the blockade, and thus the Broadside-class cruisers Clement and Sprightly were interspersed in close proximity to Druckenwell's ships (close enough to wave at one another through viewports) and making no hostile overtures to them—instead, the cruisers drifted ponderously beside the occasional freighter or transport that constituted regular traffic over Monor II. There had been no problems thus far, but things did seem to be coming to a head. From the perspective of Ralltiir's crews (who, by and large, were every bit as strident as their Senator on this issue and had no sympathy for Druckenwell's presence here) had to concede that the arrival of Alsakan's ships did seem to be bringing events to a head. Nonetheless, the Clement and Sprightly—and their gunship escorts—were under strict orders not to shoot first, or to shoot at all if it could be prevented.
However, a wave of palpable resentment passed through the durasteel corridors of the Broadsides as Avadrie volFyr, the Senate's ambassador, arrived under the escort of the most belligerent of all of them—Druckenwell. Clearly by prior arrangement. As volFyr had feared, this did reinforce the existing suspicion of Ralltiir's officers that she was partial to Druckenwell in this whole affair. But they were professionals, and signaled dutifully that the diplomatic immunity of the Star Petal would, naturally, be respected. They also reminded her that Ralltiir's presence over Monor II was to assure the safe movement of ships, not to impede them.
They also communicated this to Captain Harrak of the Cronese Mandate's ships, and offered to escort them safely through the blockade (but recommended doing so once Senator volFyr had cleared the area, in case Druckenwell would use the passage of the Cronese ships as a pretext to sink the negotiations before they began).

There will be no negotiation while Druckenwell invades our space. By building here without blessings and ceremonies they offend the Maker even further than by simply loitering in his celestial temple uninvited, raping it's sanctity. The Maker orders their removal. These other ships are here to secure our space. Druckenwell shall leave, then there may be talk.

| It was a simple shuttle craft that arrived shortly after the arrival of Senator volFyr's ship, no distinct markings, just the normal charcoal gray of the ship as it slowly cut through space. On board was the normal crew, the pilots that kept it heading straight towards the world of Monor II, as well as the gunners that kept it protected it. The ship though also carried an extra passenger, a young man that was sent by Moff Verilia in his stead to speak to Agapos the IX on the discussion the two already had through the various messages sent back and forth between the two. The young man stood up and pulled on his shirt, keeping it straightened out and unwrinkled as he approached the communications officer on the shuttle.
"Send a message, let Agapos know that the representative for Moff Verilia has arrived." The officer nodded as the young man stood up, the shuttle making its way down to Monor II. A message being sent to Agapos the IX through a secure channel to the leader of Monor II. "This is the Trinidad, carrying the representative sent by Moff Verilia to speak on the agreement that the Moff has spoke to Agapos the IX about." When the message was sent the shuttle began to slow, waiting for their allowance to clear.
