| A loud shrieking roar filled the air as the beast fell forward, its body twitching with the last breaths of life. The mythosaur axe being pulled from its head, that had cleaved it in half. Vil looked at the large beast, his hand touching its carcase as he kept his eyes on it. "You were a worthy foe." He stood back as he turned and looked to the Felucians that had gathered. He stepped forward, his head robes flowing in the breeze that swept through the graveyard as the Felucians quickly swarmed the felled Rancor. Its body bare in a matter of moments as the Felucians quickly fled the graveyard. Vil slowly walked along the darkened ground, stained from the years of blood that filled the graveyard. His boots kicking up a heavy dust that settled just moments later. His axe was gripped tightly in his hand, a weapon passed down in his clan since before the Mandalorian wars.
He found the skeleton of a Rancor, laying alone as its white bones rest in gentle repose. Vil touched the old bones before he sat on the large head of the Rancor, waiting quietly and patiently for the one whom called himself a Mandalorian. He looked across the graveyard as he felt the wind blowing through the area. The dust kicking up now and again before settling again as the Felucians roamed around the fungus and foliage that marked the perimeter of the large graveyard, watching the warrior quietly.

| The Baron's Farstar-class Corvette emerged from hyperspace. The ship immediately began to scan the area, launching four R-41 Starchaser Snubfighters to check over the area, launching a scan and checking if there was an ambush before the Baron would consider going down to the planet to duel the Dar'manda. He initiated a bioscan and electrical scan of the area known as the Rancor graveyard.
Anthony Park opened a communicator to Vil down on the planet after making the scan "Are you ready to die? dar'manda?" he mocked over the communicator, awaiting a reply to see if the man had made the date.. he assumed the coward would not.

| Vil shook his head, it was obvious that Park had no clue how a proper duel was conducted. Sending in fighters to check for an ambush was just improper. Any scans of the area though would show the native Felucians in mass that had gathered and now waited to see what would happen. The only human bioscan was already sitting in the middle of the graveyard and just waited now. If he was the coward, then why was Park still up on his ship and sending others to look around instead of committing himself to the duel. Vil touched the side of his helmet, his voice filling the ship above. "You're late." He smirked under his helmet before he stood up, waiting now for his insulter to land on the planet below.

| Baron Park smiled, clicking off the comm and checking all the weapons were online and prepared. He drew his lightfoil from his waist and gave it a twirl.. "excellent" he said to himself as he placed it back and moved off down to the hangar. The corvette activated a hypercomm jammer for the area to check that there would be no order to spring an ambush sent, all contingencies being planned for.
Down on the planet Vil would find the air above him full of noise and chaos as the four fighters began to loop around him in the air, scanning the site of the duel for any traps, and also to help scare away any monsters which could interfere with the duel, for that would render it an unfair fight. They also made a scan of Vil, checking he was alone and he had not concealed any unfair weaponary.
The Baron himself climbed into his prototype fighter and slid the canopy closed. Moments later he skimmed through the atmosphere, approaching high across the landscape towards Vil's location, checking out the scans from the rest of his wingmates sent on comms laser as he approached. So he would know his foe before he arrived. "Always be prepared" he murmured to himself.

| Vil looked to the large carcase of the Rancor that he had been sitting on. His eyes on the large bones as he pulled off his heavy cloak and set it on the large tusk. His battle armor shinning in the dim light as he stood silently. On his hip was sitting a Beskad, his hand holding the Mythosaur Axe as he turned and waited. The Felucians had scattered when the ships first flew over, yet they once more returned, having become used to craft flying over the jungle from the clone wars as they sat quietly in the shadows of the large fungus growths. Vil now waited, his opponent coming down in his own ship. Vil looked up, watching them carefully as he stood like a beacon in the dark and quiet graveyard.

| As Park approached he smiled "Ahah, my first catch of the day!" he smiled. Using the targeting data from his ship and the four fighters simply fired a pair of concussion missiles towards Haran. The advanced precision weapons flew with deadly accuracy towards Vil's position, homing in on the prescanned target, it was unlikely that they could miss.
The other four fighters opened up on him also, dozens of laser cannon and ion cannon rounds slashing down from the sky around him, all from different angles and directions, the air around him was filled with blasts of red and blue. The massed firepower of the selection of fighters was brought to bear upon the hapless man. There was no where for the Mandalorian to run or to hide.
Unfortunately for Haran, Park was an adherent to his own "New Mandalorian" ideology, it had one maxim "Nothing is more honorable than Victory". He flicked on the speakers on his fighter as he made another pass and prepared to order the next volley "Vil Haran, You are under citizens arrest for duelling. Surrender now and you will be allowed to stand trial".
On the Farstar-class "Deralian Glory" up in orbit, a twin turbolaser cannon turret turned and faced the graveyard, ready to lay the whole area waste should it be needed, if necessary Park would slaughter a hundred local aliens to capture or kill Haran, and if Haran did not surrender then the blood would be on his hands.

| Vil hadnt just picked Felucia randomly, he knew what the world was capable of. He had served here during the Clone Wars, he knew the flora and fauna well, just as he knew of the native Felucians. They had saved his life during the Clone Wars when he was stationed here, and few that had gathered around the graveyard probably where old enough to have known him in those times. It was likely though that by now, with so much activity in the sky, that the larger fungal fauna had released their spores. That was a dangerous thing about Felucia, the air was constantly filled with spores, often at times they'd get into engines and clog them, causing them to sputter and malfunction. He chose this world for a reason, it wasnt just him pointing his finger at a map and thinking it looked good. When the first concussion missiles had been fired the natives had already fled the area. There wouldnt be anything for Park to kill just to get to Vil, his demand that Vil surrender or that he would kill the natives would go unanswered. The natives were gone, hidden in the landscape just as they had done before.
The graveyard, just like the planet, had been chosen for a reason also. As Vil had seen the first weapons fire his mind went straight to thinking. In a single motion he had pulled his heavy cloak back on, his other arm slamming the mythosaur axe into the ground as it gave way from the jolting impact. The ground broke and crumbled as Vil landed in the chamber below, standing from his knelling position as he rushed across the chamber, the roof beginning to collapse from the continued fire until he rolled into one of the tunnels that still stood. The roof collapsing behind him and burying the tunnel. It was time to survive now, something he had learned to do both on Dxun and Felucia in his life. As the dust began to settle, the area where Vil had been standing revealed the open chamber that had sat beneath. The only bodies though being that of the old and broken bones of the other Rancors and beast that had died.
Soon enough though a message filled Baron Park's cockpit, Vil's voice still strong and unhindered. "You missed." He smirked beneath his helm, knowing that the ground would keep him hidden from any scans for heat as he stood in the tunnel for a few more moments, sending another message before he would leave. "Who is the hut'uunla and dar'manda now. You couldnt even face a Mandalorian in combat. It is you that is the Dar'manda, the one whom coward in fear from an honorable duel and had to use ships to try and kill his foe. To call yourself a Mandalorian is an insult to those of us that are. You better hope that I die here on Felucia, for if I do not, then the Mandalorians will know that you are the Hut'uunla Dar'manda whom cowered from Honor." The message cut out as Vil left the tunnel, having known them from his time spent among the native Felucians.

In a single motion he had pulled his heavy cloak back on. The graveyard was littered with the bones of the Rancors, as well as a few of the fallen fungus fauna. Each in their own right a good place to hide from in coming fire as he had quickly turned and jumped into the socket that once held the Rancor's eye. It wasnt the best place to be, yet he needed the thick bones between him and the weapons fire as he jumped through the second, quickly rushing towards one of the fallen fungus trees as he slid in the dirt. The dust kicking up just as the concussion missiles tore through ground, cratering it as the large bones of the rancor were thrown up into the air and spread across the field. The concussive force added to the slide, throwing Vil into the fungus tree. His body slammed against the rotted side, throwing him into the actual tree itself as he shook his head.
It was clear now that Baron Park was the real hut'uunla, a coward that couldnt even face another on one on one combat. As Vil slowly recovered, his ears still ringing from being thrown as he sat up. Watching his previous area of stance being torn down from the combined weapons fire he sat up as he shook his head. He didnt like the idea of the duel originally, as he turned around and kicked out the back side of the large fungal growth, the rotten wood peeling away as he slid out of it and stay low.
He had been lucky though, yet he knew things could get worse as he stumbled for a moment before he looked at his side. A piece of the wood sticking out as he let out a heavy sigh and grunted. This could make things bad as he looked at the splinter, yet for the moment he didnt have time to worry about it. He needed to make it to the treeline, at least in the thick growth of the jungle his heat sign would be muffled.

| Park, by this stage was in no mood for half measures. He ordered that the whole area should be leveled with turbolaser fire. The ready and waiting twin turbolaser opened up upon the area, intending to melt everything within a hundred meters of Vil into a bubbling lake of glass and magma. The fighters kept their distance, moving up into the atmosphere, each sending another torpedo towards Vil's current position. One was aimed directly on him, and one to the north, south, east and west, to give a good spread and meaning whichever way he fled he likely was at risk, at this stage, and under this bombardment there was no realistic way Vil was going to survive the next ten minutes. The destructive power of concussion missiles cannot be downplayed, two destroyed a huge section of the death star, the shockwaves and blast would be enough to turn any armoured man into a suit full of jelly if even glanced.
And even if he did? then what? The Imperial Authorities were on their way to start raking over Felucia with a fine toothed comb to find this notorious rebel. Until they arrived Park's corvette had enough firepower at its disposal to stop any ship of Vil's taking off and jam any long range comms. There really was no way off this rock for Vil now, except as a Prisoner of Park. Park was well known for his humanitarian treatment of prisoners, and it seemed likely that if Vil's troops would pledge to fight with him against Moff Levi then he would be set free.
So Vil Haran was faced with a choice, death under the rain of missiles and laser fire, capture by Imperial Forces, or capture by Park, with the hope of parole and escape which that had attached to it..

| Vil had chosen Felucia for this simple reason alone, he knew the world, he knew its plants, and he knew the punishment they could take. As he quickly rushed into the jungle his heat signature disappeared from the screen, obscured by the heat given off by the jungle, as well as the many other native animals. There was a flaw in Baron Park's plan though to burn him out, the canopy of Felucia was thick, large mushroom like fauna shot up from the ground, their thick canopies giving ample cover from the air above, as well as broad enough to take punishment. Vil kept to staying under those canopies as he rushed through the jungle. Hearing the missiles slamming against the canopies of the mushroom like fauna and splitting open large holes in them. The laser fire, impacting the thick tops and leaving behind holes and scorch marks. The graveyard was one thing, it was open and clear of most fauna, a clear shot where fire could rain down easily. Out in the jungle though, it was another story.
The thick canopy tops of the Giant Purple Mushrooms seemed to cup the explosives as they where laid down in the area. Vil was now in survival mode as he fled into the Jungle, keeping under the thick mushrooms to keep himself hidden from above. He had some time as he stopped for a moment, his heat still being hidden with the heat of the jungle as he looked back and saw the turbolaser fire cutting into the ground where it hit between the mushrooms. Vil had to find a way off the planet, yet first, he needed help as he looked to the wound in his side once more before he rushed deeper into the forest, knowing how to survive on the planet from the time spent during the Clone Wars. There were still a few hidden places on the world where one could stay and lay low, or if one knew how to deal with the locals, they could always find help with them.

| Unfortunately, no matter how quick Vil was, he was not able to outrun a missile going several thousand miles an hour locked onto his heat signature. Furthermore since he had been shaken and injured it was unlikely he was going anywhere very quickly. The missiles were unaffected by the mushrooms and steered under them (star wars missiles are seen in Episode IV of having a turning circle under a meter when locked onto a heat source, and in Episode III to be able to move around and dodge about).
The missiles would strike the area around Vil but not directly hitting him, had they done so he would be instantly vaporised, tossing him up into the air, shrapnel tearing through the gaps in his armour and causing multiple punctures. The initial shock of the blast would have knocked him unconcious, he would temporarily regain wakefulness before hitting the ground again and descending into darkness. The turbolasers equally were essentially unavoidable, since even a very light turbolaser had blasts in the kiloton range, the release of energy (even more than a hundred meters off) would cause severe burns on Vil and heating up his armour. His side which faced the descending turbolaser blast would be severely burned, likely rendering the limbs on that side unusable. From the missiles he would find multiple lacerations on the gaps in his armour, a slipped disk, whiplash, concusssion, a Cerebral contusion and three fractured vertebrae. In addition his left leg was broken.
With all of this he was alive but severely injured, and unlikely to regain conciousness in the meantime. An Aegis-class shuttle was dispatched from the FarStar-class vessel in orbit, descending to a couple of hundred meters above the scene to assess the damage before they fired again. A pair of probe droids were dispatched to the ground and identified the location of Vil.
A pair of men on the shuttle checked the charges on their stun blaster and the status of the pair of medical droids onboard. They were tasted with saving the man's life now, and helping nurse him back to health once captured. He was no good dead. The shuttle prepared for final descent as the probe droids approached Vil.

| Two vessels converged on Felucia. One was a Sentinel-class landing craft, Dark Whispers by name, transporting the equally dark High Inquisitor on-board. The second was a Star Destroyer, Risen Glory, which was serving as a transport for the 1st Hunters Division and by extent, Deschain's favored and handpicked 1st Purifiers. His Jedi killers, as he was wont to call them. The Star Destroyer's captain was a vain man, and did not like being tasked with transport duty. However, Deschain had seen to it that the word had come down from on high; it was fortuitous, in fact, as the order had come some time before Park had ever even sent his message regarding Vil Haran.
It was the Dark Whispers that arrived first at Felucia; one of the advantages of having a highly-upgraded hyperdrive. The Dark Whispers was a ship that was full of surprises, in more ways than one. The Baron's Farstar-class corvette was the easiest vessel to recognize in the system. Checking his vessel's chonometer, Deschain nodded to himself. The Risen Glory would arrive soon enough. Powering his engines back slightly, Deschain took a wide loop towards the corvette, studying it through his scanners. It was a pocket carrier by all appearances. Towards the planetside, the signature of a quartet of snub craft registered as well.
"Private corvette, this is Imperial Security Agent Deschain. I am requesting status of one Anthony Park and one Vil Haran, accused criminal."

| (OOC: Having discussed this with Rath, we are going to proceed with the contact between Park's corvette (just conversation) separately from the ground combat. As this is in orbit it forms essentially a separate but parallel rp several miles above. This is not intended to prejudice the results of the combat below which is pending (so I am informed by Vil) a management decision)
The Corvette launched a scan of the approaching vessels, checking them out and giving them a hail in return to theirs. Park was down in the atmosphere in his fighter and so not at the helm, instead Lord Catrix opened a holographic connection "This is the Deralian Privateer Harpy, this is Lord Salazar Catrix (the younger) of Mithra, Baron Anthony Park is present and collaring the known Mandalorian leader "Vil Haran" as we speak. Reinforced by four members of our crew."
They broadcast a copy of their Imperial Peacekeeping Certificate, their B23-1-14 Permit Certificates and their copy of the ancient Deralian letter of Marque and reprisal, demonstrating their legitimate status in pursuing this wanted criminal.

| Deschain was not unaware of the so-called Baron of the Nevar asteroid belt. few things escaped his notice that could be used at a later date. Granted, he did not have the man's history or family line committed to memory, but Park did have a reputation for being a highly decorated Clone Wars hero, as well as some sort of local hero within the system. The High Inquisitor glanced over the peacekeeping certificate and the B23-1-14 papers as well before discarding the information. As far as Deschain knew, the Empire held no bounty for a Vil Haran. Whether or not he was a criminal for crimes wanted locally might well be a different matter. Perhaps it was a system bounty? He did not know for sure in the smaller matters. However... Vil Haran could well be useful to him, and an idea began to form in his head.
"Lord Catrix, I request permission to dock with the Harpy and speak with you at length. The ISB received the message from Baron Nevar and I was sent to assist you. If you'll be so good as to send someone to meet me, I'll be docking at one of your airlocks."
