| "Healthy, is the most I can hope for." Ana said quietly. "I don't care otherwise, but I would like to know ahead of time." She tended to dislike surprises for the most part, as she was a little too much of a planner for that. "I am glad you are happy, Alyn. I was honestly worried that you would not be."

| Ana watched him silently for several moments before she spoke again. She honestly wondered if he would ever stop surprising her, but she doubted it. He was one of the most genuine and nicest men she she had ever met. Though he didn't know about his other business dealings, of course.
"It is just so soon, maybe too soon. And I've known for....well....longer than you. I was nervous." She finally replied with a heavy sigh. "I should know you better than that. "

| Stark did have a few surprises left; not all of them pleasant. Luckily, his positions allowed him to surround Ana with guards to keep her safe and further luckily, there were no other criminal organizations that knew his identity, and few even among his own. "Don't fret, my love. Perhaps it is soon, but even soon can be good. I imagined you would be as happy as I am."

| She looked surprised for a moment. He thought she wasn't happy? For a brief second she realized that she maybe hadn't come across as remotely happy, because of her constant worry about his happiness. "Alyn, I am thrilled. I'm so sorry that I came across otherwise. I was worried you would be mad and....I worry too much." She admitted, finally smiling. "I never meant to seem unhappy at all. Honestly though, I never thought anything like this would happen to me. Any of it. I kind of thought I would spend my entire life on Naboo with...." She stopped and shook her head. "Nevermind."

| "You do worry a bit much, my dear. You really must stop that for your own health and the health of the baby." Stark gave her a concerned look for a moment. "Spend your entire life on Naboo with the Representative? I can see where that could occur to you. I suppose all of this at once is a lot to take in. There's no need to worry though. Everything will pan out just fine. I'm supremely confident of it. Besides, worrying for no reason will get you nowhere."

| She moved away from him and dropped back into her chair near to the table. "So with this news...." Ana said, changing the subject, "I suppose that the huge wedding is out? We wouldn't want to make a spectacle of it, I imagine?" She asked, fairly sure that he would not let this go that easily. The truth of it was that she was just nervous about the amount of people, not for her safety (as she knew Irilia would be right there should anything happen).
Ana glanced off of the balcony and into the darkness for the moment. "I'm teasing you.' She finally said, smiling softly. "I know you really want to do this. I look forward to it. I hope you don't mind, I already sent for the dressmaker from Naboo....she should be here in a few days. Though....she is going to have a lot more to work with, I fear. Might want to consider moving the date up...." She frowned a moment and shook her head.
"I think that you should wait before announcing our news though....until after we marry?"

| "Oh, the wedding is still planned my love. We can still move the date up though... perhaps by a month, if nothing else. Two months from now will allow the invitations to be sent out to the numerous people who would like to attend. I do agree that perhaps we should hold off on announcing the pregnancy until after the wedding." Stark moved away for a moment, considering the matter. "I hope you will be willing to speak to Artemis about standing in place of your father. I know you would like to have him there."

| Ana watched as he stepped away and the she dropped her gaze to her hands, which were folded together on her lap. "Alyn..." She started, hesitating a moment. "I don't know that it is such a good idea. He is a very busy man and since senate is back in session, I am sure that he has a lot on his plate right now." She said quietly. "Between that and his son returning home...." Ana bit her lower lip lightly as she thought it over. Part of her would rather not even have him, or them, there, but she knew that they needed to be invited. Whether they came or not was yet to be seen.
"I would hate to inconvenience anyone like that. I'll be fine on my own, like thousands of fatherless girls before me have been." She finally looked up and gave him a smile, as convincing as she could.

| "You seem almost reluctant to have him, my dear." Stark looked puzzled for a moment. "If you'd rather not have him give you away, that is your choice. I doubt you'd want to not have some form of father-figure there, though. It seems a shame, but the choice is yours. Besides, he will be receiving an invite, among several other senators that I've worked with. I doubt all will show up, of course, but it is the thought that counts."

| "Oh no. I want him there, I just think he will be too busy, is all. We need to make sure that Davon is invited as well, I suppose." She said before she thought very carefully of how she would word what she wanted to say next. Instead of worrying, she just said it.
"You spent your entire life without your father, right?" Ana started, remembering his history. "I never knew mine, I don't even know who he is. I know what my Aunt told me; he knocked my mom up and left." She stopped for a moment and watched him, then realized she was following that same path at the moment. Only Alyn was staying, for now. "I don't.....need, you know, that. And I think it would make things awkward for Davon." She thought of the prodigal son's feelings too when considering the situation.
"If he offered, it would be one thing. I don't think I can ask him to do something like that, otherwise."

| "I can sympathize with that." Stark nodded again. "How would it make things awkward for Vanden's son? Unless... ah, well, we can leave that be. I think I understand. We will leave the good Representative of the Naboo out of that equation, for your peace of mind.
"As for my father... yes, I have lived my entire life without him." That was an outright lie, considering the talk he'd had rather recently with his father, but it was not something he was willing to reveal to her yet, considering she did not actually know who his father was. "I want this to be a happy day for you."

| "I will ensure they are both sent an invitation, my dear. And thinking? Simply considering how hard it must have been for you growing up. It's never enjoyable, not knowing who one's father is." He was referring to her in this, not himself. Already, the wedding invitations would be underway in the making; it was simply a matter of which dignitaries to invite and which to leave out. There was a subtle insult in disregarding certain beings in invitations.
