Jaden would look at Mira as the trio kept on walking, "They had overcame us rather easily. It wouldn't have happened if we were prepared for an incoming pirate attack. They clearly were expecting us. Someone had tipped them off that your convoy had come to Haruun Kal and that I had come to rescue you. We can't really trust anyone but ourselves for now." The Jedi had told Mira, then he went back focusing on the mission. It was getting harder and harder for him to focus on getting out of there because of his feelings toward the beautiful NRI agent. Jaden shook his head once again to snap himself out of that.

"If we hurry, we might get to Oran Mas. Hopefully, someone from the Republic would help us there. If not, then we got to at least request some assistance from the Balawai tribe." Jaden kept himself on the guard, by keeping his lightsaber ready for combat. He is probably the only one out of the trio that is capable of pulling off something that the non-Force users wouldn't be able to do.

"Or..." She started, "Once again I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It happens." Mira said, as if the fact was a little disturbing to her. As they walked through the dense foliage, the NRI agent pulled her commlink out of her pocket and checked the signal. Still nothing. "We're still a mile from town? It's starting to get dark and I don't know about this terrain when it is pitch out." She commented to Jaden.

Mira was already having a hard time walking. When the pod impacted against the planet surface, it had jarred her to the core, but moreover, one of the storage crates that was filled with supplies in the pod had rolled out of its spot and crashed into her leg and knee. Though she hadn't looked, she was sure it would be a lovely shade of purple and maybe blue. And though she would not admit it, she was starting to get shaky and tired as the adrenaline rush from earlier had worn off.

The Jedi would stop and look into Mira's eyes, "Should we stop and make a stand here?" Jaden would look at the droid for the moment and then back to her. "You know you're injured, and R2-D9's capable of taking on a few but this is their territory. They know what to do on it. What do you propose we do?" Jaden wasn't entirely tired at all, but that has more to do with the training he received. "As much as I'd love to teach them a lesson, I can't risk your life."

"I'll carry you to the city if I have to.'

Mira looked at the little droid. "R2-D9, can you scan and see if there are any sentient beings nearby?" She felt that they had moved quickly enough that they might not have followed, or decided that risking the forest was not worth it for two humans and a droid. Mira waited for the affirmative bleeps from the droid, then turned her attention back to Jaden. She was trying to not show that she was getting tired, but it was hard not to be.

"A mile isn't that long though." She forced a small smile and watched him for the moment. He would carry her. Sweet of him.

The Jedi sighed, sensing that Mira was trying to be strong just for him. As the droid beeped, which means they probably called off the search. Even with that, they can't go back because his x-wing seems to be beyond repair. He would press a button on the lightsaber and it was turned off. Jaden decided to put it back onto his belt. He would chuckle lightly and shook lightly at once, getting a couple of steps forward to stand in front of Mira. His hands would proceed and got Mira up, thus making Mira "fall" into his arms. "I'm carrying you the rest of the way. R2-D9, keep your scanning up to ensure they won't come after us." Jaden began to walk once again with R2-D9 following him and Mira laying in his arms.

Mira hadn't expected him to just pick her up like that, but silently she was grateful for it. Though she liked to be independent and strong, her leg was starting to swell along with the expected bruising that was going to happen.

"Did you let the council know where you were going?" She murmured as she slid one of her arms around his neck to relive some of the strain she might have been putting on his shoulders and arms. Mira worried silently about his place in the Order, and if he was going to get in trouble for this. "I'm sorry....again. I really didn't expect you to come yourself...especially if you were busy."

"I didn't tell them. They can wait. Don't worry. I have told you over and over again, I'm not going to let you down. I never have and I never will." Jaden would smile at Mira as they kept on walking and R2-D9 follows behind. "Besides, they'll understand once I explain to them. I'll just tell them that I did this out of helping relations between the Jedi Order and the Republic." He winked at Mira. The Jedi was liking that Mira was wrapping her arms around his neck, but he wouldn't let her know that.

"You know, it's a funny thing. I would never protect the other Jedi the way I protect you. I'm supposed to do the opposite, but I don't feel the need to do so."

"I thought that the Jedi were supposed to help anyone that needed help?" She asked him quietly as he walked. "Is that not the Jedi way?" Mira watched him for the moment.

Mira changed the subject quickly. "I think I see lights ahead?" She asked as she looked forward. "Maybe I can walk...you have to be getting tired." She murmured, though she knew that he probably was not getting tired at all.

"That's not what I meant. What I meant is that I feel closer with you than I ever have with any Jedi." Jaden would look ahead and see the lights. "Yeah, it's the city we're supposed to be in." He told Mira but didn't let her down. He wasn't going to for a while anyway. The Jedi wanted to find her a safe place before putting her down. He would look around and see the Balawai tribe going on around. Jaden would approach to a man selling food, and asked him about whether there's ships nearby they could use.

Mira nodded a little, realizing what he just said. It was a little odd, him being a Jedi and all. "I feel the same way, Jaden, only...without the Jedi." She murmured before she turned her gaze towards where the lights were again. As they approached the man, she tried to get out of his arms and put her feet on the ground, but he seemed to be holding her firm.

The man looked up from his wares and eyed the pair, then the droid toddling along behind. "Shipyard is that way." He pointed in a direction that would lead them through windy, and not so clean or kind streets filled with locals.

He would let out a sigh of relief, "Let's hope we have enough money to buy someone out of their ship." The Jedi would keep Mira in his arms while walking toward the docking bay that the man had mentioned. Jaden knew Mira would try to get down, but he wouldn't let her unless it was necessary. With the droid trailing behind, they steadily approached toward the hangar bay. The tribe seems not to mind them being around, perhaps because they didn't want anything to do with the Jedi and the Republic.

Once they reached the hanger, Mira looked up at her Jedi friend. "Jaden, you can put me down...." she murmured, though she had a feeling he still wouldn't. The pain in her leg was intense, but not as intense as it would be with weight on it.

"Don't worry about the credits. I have my Republic account and can wire anything we need." she told him. "Whatever we need....I hope."

The Jedi would make a light smile, looking at Mira. "Alright." He would look around with Mira still in his arms, ignoring her plea to put her down. R2-D9 still followed them. After a while of looking, he would stop and look at a YT-1300 light freighter in front of them. Jaden would speak to a man in front of the ship, talking him into selling the ship to the trio. After he had Mira call to wire the money, the trio entered into the ship. Jaden would head straight for the cockpit, putting Mira down on the co-pilot chair. The Jedi sat down on the pilot chair, while R2-D9 would stay in the engine room to make sure nothing would go wrong when they take off. Jaden's revving the ship up, should take a couple of minutes of waiting. He'd look at Mira, "Finally."

Mira sighed and leaned back in the co-pilots seat. Her leg was throbbing and she was finally feeling the full effect of being smacked by that crate. "Jaden...is there any sense in leaving the planet if we think they are still...you know, up there? Or do you think that you could just go another way?" She asked, glancing down at the console.

She had never really learned to fly. Of course, she had taken the required courses and gotten a liscense, though she barely passed. Flying was not one of those things that Mira had ever wanted to do. The good thing about it was that her job with the Republic usually dictated that she be dropped off somewhere, or in the case of her last big mission, she had to arrive in style...and with alot of belongings.

"And where are we going? Back to Coruscant?"

He looked at Mira, "Don't worry, this time, we expect them to come." The engines came to life, the freighter took off from the hangar bay. The YT-1300 was flying straight, blasting out of the atmosphere and into the dark, empty space. "R2-D9, get up here!" Jaden would order as he looked at Mira. The radar was beeping the incoming pirate fighters. He'd put the ship to a halt, and R2-D9 had come into the cockpit. "Keep the ship steady. I have an idea." He would stand up and pick Mira up from her seat as well. They got out of the cockpit and headed for the gunner seats.

He would help Mira down the ladder, while the Jedi took a climb up. Jaden got into the gunner cockpit, sitting on the chair and put on a headset. "They want a showdown, Mira, we'll give it to them. Keep the guns steady, and try to shoot them down. It's only four of them."
