| Mira sat in the back of the transport, reading quietly, though she had read the same line over and over. She dropped the datapad onto the seat next to her and got up, walking to the cockpit of the transport ship. "Where are we?" She inquired to the pilot as she looked out the front viewport. "Making our way towards Coruscant, Ma'am." He replied. She then noted that they were not in hyperspace. "Why have we not made the jump yet? I have appointments on Coruscant and I do not want to be late." She was referring to work, as it was the only thing she really ever had to do. "I am sorry Ma'am. There is something wrong with the hyperdrive and our mechanic is working on it as we speak. It should not be long. I will notify you immediately once we are able to make the jump." He tried to smile, but it was obvious that he was stressed about the situation. That was when the first sirens sounded. Alarms blared and the transport ship was bathed in red emergency lights. The pilot and the co-pilot were hollering orders over the intercoms as they tried to gain control over their ship. "Shields are down to 10%." The pilot said. "Re-direct power..." Another explosion rocked the ship and Mira lost her balance, only catching it as she grabbed onto one of the seats in the cockpit to steady herself. Out of the side window, she saw the attacking ships. Pirates. "Fine time for the hyperdrive to go out." She muttered. Mira took out her commlink and then sat herself at the navigation console as the seat had been abandoned for the moment while the officer helped out with something else. She dialed a number and waited a moment. "Command this is Agent Naeva, ID# A736848. Transport Velion is under attack, I repeat under attack. Reque...." The communications link went dead as the antenna on the ship was blow apart and shields were breached. The pilot called frantically over the intercom. "All hands to escape pods." The pirates would like shoot those down as well, but he had lost control of the ship and it was starting to sink to the planet below. Either way, they were all likely going to die. "Agent Naeva, come with me." He said, yanking on her arm and dragging her out of the chair and long behind him to the escape pod. She managed to break free just long enough to grab her datapad and commlink before she was dragged down the hallway and shoved into an escape pod. The pilot strapped himself in and fired up the engines. Easily, he released the pod just in time. The ship was breaking apart around them and he managed to manuever the pod through the rubble. There was some damage. "Mira. Strap in. We're going to crash planetside, no matter what." she said as the pod burned through the atmosphere and spiralled toward the ground below. In the few seconds that she had before the pod began to shake and rattle, Mira managed to send a message to Jaden, no coordinates, but he could always track the signal rather easily. "Jaden, it's me. In trouble as usual." She said hurriedly before she turned the small holo recorder to the window and showed an image of the ship breaking apart. "Couldn't get a full message to the Republic. Lots of casualties possible." The recording would cut out as the pod hit atmosphere and then moments later, slammed into the ground. Added (20 Jan 2010, 4:09 Pm) --------------------------------------------- Mira opened her eyes. It might have been moments later, perhaps hours. she wasn't sure. Her hand went immediately to the harness that had strapped her to the seat and she released the latch, immediately tumbling to the floor as the pod had crashed on its side. The pilot was hanging in his seat, eyes open, and blood dripping from his nose and mouth. She felt for a pulse, but there was nothing. The NRI agent grabbed the first aid kit from under the seat and flipped a switch to start an emergency beacon in the pod so that it could be tracked. She also found her bag with her comm and datapad and put that over her shoulder. The door jammed, so Mira kicked it, putting her boot against the metal several times before it came loose and she could push it open. Once outside, she plopped down onto the grass and dropped the bag beside her. "Where the hell am I?" She hurt, and knew she was hurt, but she didn't know where until she started assessing the injuries. Bruises and cuts everywhere, but she wasn't sure about broken bones.

| Jaden was taking a long trip inside hyperspace, heading back to Yavin 4 after a series of missions with his Republic friend, Mira, and his own missions. The x-wing had recently emerged out of hyperspace, and was casually flied by the astromech droid. The fighter slowly orbited the gas giant and the forest planet of Yavin 4 was in sight. The droid beeped, and the Jedi simply replied, "It isn't my fault I was always needed offworld. This time I can hope to get some training in." Jaden had a tendency to speak to his droid like he was a sentient being. He didn't mind if everybody would look at him like he was crazy. When he spends a lot of time with R2-D9, there's bound to be a friendship. He would still allow the astromech droid to steer the ship toward the docking bay of the Jedi Praxeum. Perhaps he shouldn't waste time and head straight for the Jedi Council and report his recent success to Master Skywalker. The Jedi sat back and let out a deep exhalation, and then just as he was about to turn off the engines. Something had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. A hologram of Mira had appeared in front of Jaden, he would watch as Mira was explaining to him how dire the situation she was in at the moment. Jaden went from peaceful to worried, watching the ship break apart. The holotransmitter got cut off, he would sit back once again. Jaden had to think about what he needed to do. Meanwhile, he had the droid investigate the source of the holotransmitter and it seems to come from Haruun Kal. A padawan approached his x-wing, "Master Skywalker has summoned me to bring you before the Council." Jaden cleared his throat before speaking, although it was one long moment. "Hey, padawan, tell them I'm sorry for not being able to show up. Something urgent has come up." The Jedi would immediately close the cockpit window that the droid had automatically opened it moments earlier. The droid beeped, "No, I'm gonna fly the ship the whole way...except the travel in hyperspace." The Jedi had the x-wing taken off the ground and immediately thrusted it into maximum speed. He couldn't believe he had chosen Mira over the Jedi Council, but he did it. Jaden would activate the holotransmitter, "Emergency Code 20. I have no specific frequency. This is Jedi Knight Jaden Emmangan calling for the nearest Republic outpost. Alert the New Republic Intelligence that one of their agents went down in Haruun Kal, along with several Republic men and women. There are high chances of casualties. I do not know how this happened, but only that I received an urgent message. Jaden out." After he had leave an emergency message to the Republic, it was time for him to get to Haruun Kal so that it may not be too late to rescue Mira. The x-wing had entered into hyperspace. Several hours later, the x-wing had dropped out of hyperspace. The x-wing would scan the surface carefully, while maintaining distance to see why this happened. Jaden had only hoped that Mira isn't hurt...or worse, dead.

| Mira sat on the ground as she leaned against the downed escape pod. She had dug around in her bag and found a small mirrored compact, just enough so she could use some bacta and gauze to dab at the cuts on her face and neck. It wasn't too bad, but her body was sore and moving was painful. She hoped that the Republic, and Jaden had gotten her distress calls. Finally, she pushed herself up off of the ground and picked up her bag. She didn't wander far from the fallen pod, just far enough to see if any other pods or anything had crashed in the area. Mira saw nothing. Just empty fields and trees in the distance. She sighed and stopped where she was to rest a while. She wasn't that far from the pod, but she was far enough that she couldn't see it from where she sat. What was worse was that she was not sure what planet she was on or what kind of life habitated it.

| The Jedi would have the astromech droid scan the area of any beacon signals being put in by maybe Mira or any other survivors. After moments of scanning, the droid beeped. R2-D9 seems to have found a single beacon signal on the surface. The Jedi would let out a sigh and steering his x-wing toward the atmosphere casually. The reasons for flying casually was because he wanted to see the beacon with his own eyes and to watch out for any impending attackers. He was still descending slowly, looking for both the beacon and the so-called "attackers." As he was getting closer and closer to the surface, the pirates had appeared out of nowhere. There were six skipray blastboats locking onto Jaden, "Ah, clever." The pirates had been seen coming out of the clouds. However, by the time he tries to get his fighter out of the harm's way, it was too late. All it took was a proton torpedo to hit the thrust engines, and his x-wing went out of whack. It was incredibly difficult to get it back into his control. The Jedi had to rely on the Force to help slow down the speed and the control, R2-D9 also had to pitch in to try and keep the ship going. Even then, the ship was still out of control. They had already known that to keep it flying would be impossible as they were headed for the ground. They had to simply try to decelerate the speed and keep the control steady so that they wouldn't get killed by crash landing. The Jedi and the droid concentrated on getting the x-wing down on the surface, near where the beacon was signaled. That was when the x-wing crashed onto the surface, causing bad damages to the fighter. The astromech droid was fine since his place was where he was supposed to be, but Jaden got knocked out cold. Only small bleeding and cuts, along with a bruise to his forehead, was his injuries. The real concern is, would he be awake by the time the pirates got to him?

| Mira looked up when she heard a craft in the sky. Salvation, perhaps? She sighed as she scanned the sky. Then she finally saw the X wing with smoke trailing from the back end of it. "Jaden...." She murmured, limping forward a bit. Her leg hurt, but it didn't hurt as bad as it could have. She half expected the x wing to set down gently, but when it didn't, she got worried. Grass and earth flew up when the machine impacted against the planet surface, not far from her escape pod. The NRI agent broke into a rather wobbly run towards the downed x wing. She stopped short when she saw the pirates across the field. "You have got to be kidding me." She murmured as she took a moment to think about it, then started to run again. Mira was closer than they were, and they obviously hadn't seen her. Once she reached the downed x wing, she climbed up onto the wing and saw Jaden unconscious through the cockpit window. "Oh yes, because it is always me that needs the rescuing." She muttered to herself as she looked at the vehicle, trying to figure out how to get the top open from the outside.

| The Jedi slowly opened his eyes, but his vision was kind of blur. Jaden had seen a blonde woman in front of the cockpit window, no doubt it was Mira. After a few moments, he shook his head and his vision had cleared up. "Uh..." Jaden went ahead and used a button to open a cockpit window. The Jedi would slowly get himself out of the cockpit and rolled onto the grassy ground, laying down. At about the same time, R2-D9 had tried to get himself off the x-wing. Thus he also fell onto the ground, but seems to be fine although the droid struggled to get up by himself. The Jedi's left hand would be placed on his own cheek, rubbing it lightly. Meanwhile, his right hand was looking to hold on to Mira. "I've...received your..uh...signal. A damsel in distress, huh?"

| She dropped down onto the grass next to him, ignoring the droid for the moment. "Seems that you might be the damsel this time." Mira murmured. "Can you walk? I am sure it won't be long before they get there and I don't have a weapon and me with your lightsaber could equal disaster." The adrenaline had caused her to push her own pain away for the moment as she took his hand and she glanced over to see any visible injuries. "I've never seen you fly that badly. Couldn't you have just used the force to set the ship down a little gentler?" She asked, though she wasn't sure that they really had time for the answer.

| Jaden shook off the dizziness, "Yeah, I can walk and fight. There's a blaster pistol under the pilot chair in case of an emergency, and this is one so take it." The Jedi would slowly get up and walked over to get the droid up. "Well, if three of us work together, we can make it." What nobody had known was that he had modified the astromech droid to be equipped with a stun blaster hidden away inside. Jaden would take out the lightsaber and activated it right away, as the blue glow came to life. "This is Haruun Kal, the pirates won't be the only threat out here. I've sent a message to the Republic, but they're probably still light years away."

| Mira moved away from him for the moment, leaning into the cockpit as she felt around for the blaster. She finally wrapped her fingers around the hilt of the weapon and pulled it from under the seat. She also took the one he had given her. "So what's it been, Jaden? Since Telos, right? That was such a pretty ballgown too." She murmured, remembering the party and the events that ensued. Mira glanced at him. "I'm sorry I called you away from whatever you were doing and got you involved in this. I....the Republic likely wouldn't have come....maybe they would have. But I knew you would at least send someone." She said as she tucked one of the blasters into her belt. She wasn't dressed like Jaden had seen her last, but simply in a pair of boots and cargo pants and a tank top. Mira had pulled her blonde locks into a ponytail to keep the hair from her eyes so that she wouldn't have anything in her way. The other blaster she kept in her hand. She turned it on and fiddled with the switch, taking the weapon off of stun.

| "Actually, you took me away from the meeting with the Jedi Council. But nah, don't worry about that. Just be glad you're that important." The Jedi would swirl his lightsaber before getting ready to combat if needed. Jaden would protect Mira at all cost, if necessary. He looked left and right to see if the pirates were in their sight. "Besides, we'll need to find something flyable and something that fits all three of us to get off this planet." The Jedi had figured that there would be ships inside the pirates' base of operations, but it's a pretty risky. Perhaps the natives would have a ship for them, although it's unlikely. "You're probably right, I don't think the Republic would have come anyway. We have to stick together if we're going to survive." The Jedi would look into Mira's eyes for a moment before looking away, "I won't let them hurt you, I promise." Jaden slowly walked to the side of the crashed x-wing, waiting for the first pirate to be in his sight.

| Mira stared at him for a moment. "A Council meeting....they're going to be upset, aren't they?" She asked as she fussed with the blaster. In truth, she worried about him and what would happen to him. "Don't get kicked out of the Order because of me, ok?" Mira finally said. She watched with him, apprehensively, waiting for someone to show themselves. "There is always time to run, Jaden. The woods aren't far. Try and get a signal and find the nearest town and get a ship off of this rock?" It was a suggestion, though it didn't mean it was a good suggestion. Mira glanced to him when he swore to protect her. She knew he would always think she needed protection, and while she was capable of taking care of herself, for some reason she didn't mind Jaden. There was a feeling there she couldn't explain. And it was mainly when Jaden was around. Mira did her best to push the feeling away, but she wasn't that great at hiding her feelings.

| The Jedi would take a look, seeing the pirates approaching. He would then walk back to Mira and R2-D9, "Good idea, let's get into the jungle. While we are running from the pirates, R2-D9 can use his sensors to scan the nearest lifeforms other than the pirates. Lead the way." Jaden would prefer if she goes first, so that he could protect her behind and that the pirates would have to get through him first to get to her. After she walked, the droid would follow Mira. The Jedi then walked toward the jungle, walking hurriedly behind Mira and R2-D9.

| She was still limping, though she could move quickly, despite the pain that she was having in her leg. Mira made her way towards the wooded areas, glancing behind her to make sure that Jaden was still with her. Mira glanced at him for only a moment before turning her attention back to the terrain. She hoped that this would work. It would be easier to hide in the woods. Once she reached the treeline, Mira stopped for only a moment before moving on. "Jaden...." She said as she pushed a bit through the thick foliage. His senses would have been better for this because he would be able to sense if there was danger before they would step into it. "Maybe I had a bad idea?" she doubted herself.

| The trio was pressing through deep into the jungle. He was being fine, but his droid was having a hard time getting through the jungle due to his wheeled "legs." Mira's also injured, limping all the way. The Jedi would stop and get in front of Mira, looking at her for a moment. Meanwhile, R2-D9 beeped. Jaden had understood the droid, and would begin to speak to Mira. "The closest civilization is Oran Mas, about a mile from here. Maybe we could get a ship there?" He would then gestured for Mira and the droid to press on, and then looked back to make sure there are no pirate in sight.

| She nodded in agreement with him. "Yes, that sounds like an option." Mira also needed to contact the Republic to let them know that she was alive, though she was unsure about other survivors of the crash. When he glanced back, she did too. "I did not think that we would encounter pirates like that out here, Jaden. Usually they just want to loot ships of valuables, not shoot them down." Though part of her knew that because it was a clearly marked Republic ship, that was likely why.
