Rothana would like to re-iterate that no matter how "numerous" the products issued by Vigilance Technologies, it's sales account for less than 100th of 1% of the operating income of Kuat Drive Yards. To describe Lorrd Engineering as anything less than "small fry" even by Rim standards is, and remains, a joke.

It is due to scale such as this that the true Industrial giants such as Kuat Drive Yards are able to bring you the finest quality ships, day after day, week after week - after all, it is Kuat Drive Yards that the Empire comes to when it is in need of the state of the art vessels which fill His Majesty's Navy.
We find Senator Stark's attack on the appearance of Governor Oswaldt outrageous, a comment I am sure you are used to making inappropriate jibes in your glitzy celebrity lifestyle but here in such dignified chambers they are highly inappropriate. I am frankly bored and tired of this man's monumental arrogance, rudeness and lack of wisdom.
An uncouth man from a small world who owns a small uncouth company which produces dangerous droids and yet has the sheer meglomania to imagine himself as important on the Galactic scale? If Meglomania was money, you would truly be a rich man. If ego equated to production yard space, his would indeed be the largest in the galaxy.

| Gentlemen, truly this is out of hand. Personal insults, racist innuendo, accusations of corruption and conspiracy—the Senate is better than this, and so are you. The confession of the Sluissi suspect is troubling for many reasons; there must be a broad investigation to determine if the confession was coerced or if, indeed, it is true. If so, the investigation must look into the possibility of a criminal conspiracy in this particular case. But this document alone is no reason to presume the guilt of an entire species. I have no doubt the Sluissis will conduct a competent investigation and cooperate with an Imperial probe into this, too. The question is, will Vjun reciprocate?
Senators, this is serious business. Both sides have concerns, and understandably so. These personal insults are too small for this occasion; there is no proof that Senator Stark has "bought" Senator Ryuun. I know Senator Ryuun, and though I disagree with him (often), I respect him and believe he's a man of integrity. The same can be said of Senator Kadram, and Senator Stark is someone I know to be a decent man who doesn't deserve all this hate; the man should be able to speak his mind without being accused of a conflict of interest.
We must consider this issue dispassionately, Senators. And we should be careful with our words—Governor Oswaldt, you've said many things today with no basis in fact that could alarm the public. There's no cause for alarm, or suspicion of Sluis Van. It has long been a supporter of the Empire; how can it not be, honestly, with a squadron of Star Destroyers a constant eyesore in orbit?

| Ah yes, I forget, because I am from a small world and I own a company that produces drones, I forget this lessens me in the eyes of those from the Core Worlds. If Governor Oswaldt can jape about my lineage and question my humanity, surely he can accept a small jest about his looks in return. I would call questioning someone's humanity, a very tenet of Human High Culture, far more offensive than an attempt to lighten the mood of the chamber.
Whether or not Kuat Drive Yards produces more for the Empire than Lorrd Engineering is irrelevant. We both produce ships for His Imperial Majesty's honor. If you feel the need to constantly prove how superior your product is over mine, then who is truly the egotist? I simply state that Lorrd Engineering does its job to help supply the Empire.

| Not fully misleading, Senator Kadram. Granted that out of the two shipyards Lorrd Engineering owns, one can only produce corvette-sized vessels or smaller, but the other is capable of producing Imperial-class Star Destroyers. Hardly a freighter operation, if I do say so. But, as you wish, in all humility I can admit that Lorrd Engineering is not the equal of Kuat Drive Yards. To say we are the smallest company that produces vessels on the Outer Rim, though, is also misleading.
Representative Vanden, I thank you for the kind words and I am pleased to see one of the more reasonable heads make an appearance. I must agree with Senator Oriel as well; not that Representative Vanden requires a squadron of Star Destroyers upon his horizon, but that the Star Destroyer and its sleek lines do represent the truth and justice of the Imperial might and safety.
