Ilanah_Thanatos sighed and swept herself off of the edge of the bed before she moved across the
room. She slipped her shoes off and removed the clip from her blonde locks and let the loose
curls fall free. Lana moved back over and climbed onto the other side of the bed beside him. Her
dress fluffed up and she smoothed it a little before she laid on her side to look at him. "I did this to you...." She felt horrible. Kal_Thanatos shook his head at her, "No you didn't. I did. I agreed to it, and I let myself be
caught. Do not put the blame on yourself...anyways, it is done and now we just continue on with
our lives.." He felt bad knowing that she was blaming herself for all of this, even though she
did ask him to.
Ilanah_Thanatos moved herself closer before she rested a hand on his chest. "If I had asked you
to stay on coruscant for me, if we had been caught together, it would have been worse, I think."
She said as she looked down at him.
Kal_Thanatos nodded to her, "It would have been worse. They continuously asked me who I was
working with. They knew that I wasn't a regular Jedi in hiding..."
Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "But you're not working with anyone really...." He wasn't
really, yet. She took a deep breath and sighed. "I don't think that I could have convinced the
Moff that I am not in legue with the Jedi. That would have been....I would have been....hiding
with Mon Mothma. And that would not have been fun."
Kal_Thanatos looked at her for a second, "Mon Mothma? What do you mean, Lana?" He was curious as
to why she would bring up Mon Mothma. He had heard what had happened, and now was wondering what
she meant.
Ilanah_Thanatos paused. "I took her place in senate when she was declared a traitor, Kal....."
She paled a little. Ilanah knew where she was, but until Kal was firmly on her side, she
shouldn't have even mentioned it. "She had to go into hiding, is all. No one knows where."
Kal_Thanatos took a breath of relief in his head. He really didn't want to hear that she was
working with her. He nodded to her, "Good. I thought that you were talking about you would be
right there with her, cause you were working with her...."
Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "Of course not. I haven't even seen her in years." She said
softly. "Just out of curosity...what would you have done if I was working with her?"
Kal_Thanatos paused for a moment. He wasn't sure what he would have done. It was his job to
fight traitors of the Empire, but would he have turned her in. He shook his head as he looked at
her, "Nothing. I would have done nothing. I couldn't turn you in...."
Ilanah_Thanatos rubbed his chest gently with her fingertips through the fabric of his shirt.
"How about another tea?" She asked before she sat up a little more.
Kal_Thanatos gently shook his head, "No thanks Lana..." He was beginning to wonder what kind of
reward he would receive for turning in such a traitor as Mon Mothma or one like her. He would
definately gain the trust of the High Inquisitor then, and wouldn't have to prove himself any
further.
Ilanah_Thanatos had a bad feeling that he was thinking something that she really didn't want him
to be thinking. So she distracted him. Very gently, she leaned down and pressed her lips
tenderly against his. First kiss in years? Of course it would be good.
Kal_Thanatos 's thoughts were thrown off as she had leaned down and kissed him. Yes, it was the
first kiss in years. In fact, his only kiss in years. Memories flooded his mind, some of
his...and thanks to his ability to read the history of an object, inanimate or not, there were
some of hers floating around in his head...
Ilanah_Thanatos was trying not to think of anything important, like what she had really been
doing on Coruscant, and simply focused on him. When she finally pulled back, she lingered close.
"I'm sorry...."
Kal_Thanatos looked at her with a puzzled look, "For what, Lana?"
Ilanah_Thanatos "I maybe....was that too soon?" She asked, regarding her kissing him. She should
have waited, or let him, when he was ready.
Kal_Thanatos quickly shook his head, "No. It was good timing actually..."
Ilanah_Thanatos : Why do you say that?
Kal_Thanatos looked into her eyes, "Cause we are back together. It would have been weird if we
hadn't gotten back together..."
Ilanah_Thanatos paused. "Why wouldn't we have?"
Kal_Thanatos shrugged, "I don't know. Just thought that you and what's his face were
together...but I'll take it that you both split, right?"
Ilanah_Thanatos sat up a little and pushed her fingers through his hair. "Tremaine." She said
simply. "It was just....a couple of dates....mostly work." She now felt guilty about something
else entirely.
Kal_Thanatos looked at her for a moment. He could feel that there was something bothering her.
He would ask her, "What is it? There's something that is bothering you, isn't there? You can
tell me..."
Ilanah_Thanatos : I dated someone....I had our marriage annulled and I dated someone.
Kal_Thanatos looked down for a moment. He didn't like to hear the fact that she was with another
man, after leaving him. He took a deep breath, releasing it slowly, "It's fine. You shouldn't
feel bad. I treated you like that, and that's what a normal person would do..."
Ilanah_Thanatos would move closer to him and guide his chin up with her fingertips. "I've never
been with anyone but you." She confessed. "Ever."
Kal_Thanatos 's eyes moved up and met with hers as she told him he was her only. A small smile
came to his face. There was some relief in hearing that. "Honestly, I'm glad to hear that.
Knowing that you were with someone else would have hurt..."
Ilanah_Thanatos : Never....I never even once thought about it.
Kal_Thanatos smiled even more. That couldn't have been any more music to his ears. He leaned
into her and held her close.
Ilanah_Thanatos held tightly onto him. "For what?" She murmured. He would feel how terrible she
felt. But honestly, she had always thought of the day she might see him again, and falling in
love with him all over again was not the scenario that she had in mind.
Kal_Thanatos hesitated for a moment as he could feel the emotions coming from her. He would soon
respond, "For giving me a second chance..."
Ilanah_Thanatos sighed. "You can feel everything I feel...."
Kal_Thanatos nodded to her, "I can...and when our skin touches, I can sometimes see things that
you've experienced...as well as some of your memories replay in my head..."
Ilanah_Thanatos blinked a little and pulled away suddenly. She wasn't able to hide her panic.
What had he already seen?
Kal_Thanatos 's eye brows moved down, showing that he was a little confused at why she had
pulled away with a panic look on her face. He quickly asked her, "What is it?"
Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "I just didn't know that you could do that....I'm sorry...." She
said. The thought occured to her that his connection with her may be the best way to ease him
over from the Dark Side. It was risky, but just flat out telling him was risky too.
Kal_Thanatos quickly nodded his head, "Yea...it is actually a trait that all my people have.
Psychometry is what they call it. It allows us to read the memories of objects, inanimate or
not...."
Ilanah_Thanatos slowly, she would settle back onto the bed next to him. "What if you see
something that you don't like, Kal?"
Kal_Thanatos took a moment to think about what she had said and wondered why she would say that.
As he was looking at her, and snapped out of his thoughts, he would ask, "There something that
you are hiding in there? Why would there be anything I wouldn't like?"
Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head only a little and then slid closer to him. "It was only a
question. That's all." He still scared her a little, he was very powerful after all.
Kal_Thanatos nodded it off as if it was nothing. He had one more question for her, "If there was
something, you would tell me, right?"

---------------------------------------------
Their time on Naboo had been too short it seemed. Lana did no work, nor did she return calls while she was there. The hours, then days, then the couple of weeks passed. The time seemed to fly by and before she knew it, Lana had packed her suitcase again and was watching her guard (who had returned just that hour) load her things onto the ship.
The platinum band was back on her finger again, as he had given it back to her just the weekend before. It was quiet and intimate, the complete opposite of the first time that they had wed, but it was better, at least for her. Kal still seemed conflicted, when it came right down to it, but he seemed happy with her. She hoped he was, at least.
Lana bit her lower lip and sighed as her guard dissapeared into the ship and started up the engines before she turned back and went into the villa. "Are you going to stay here....?" She murmured as she moved up behind Kal and slid her arms around his waist. They hadn't discussed the plans yet, but she was very wary about the fact that they were quite possibly going separate ways, for who knew how long.
She rested her chin on his shoulder as she waited for an answer from him.
