He shook his head, "I appreciate your help. I'm fine. There's just one thing...join me. It's been a long few weeks for the both of us. We deserve some time to rest and relax from everything..." He would lay back, letting his head rest down on his pillow. He would look up at her, waiting for her.

Ilanah_Thanatos sighed and swept herself off of the edge of the bed before she moved across the
room. She slipped her shoes off and removed the clip from her blonde locks and let the loose
curls fall free. Lana moved back over and climbed onto the other side of the bed beside him. Her
dress fluffed up and she smoothed it a little before she laid on her side to look at him. "I did this to you...." She felt horrible.

Kal_Thanatos shook his head at her, "No you didn't. I did. I agreed to it, and I let myself be
caught. Do not put the blame on yourself...anyways, it is done and now we just continue on with
our lives.." He felt bad knowing that she was blaming herself for all of this, even though she
did ask him to.

Ilanah_Thanatos moved herself closer before she rested a hand on his chest. "If I had asked you
to stay on coruscant for me, if we had been caught together, it would have been worse, I think."
She said as she looked down at him.

Kal_Thanatos nodded to her, "It would have been worse. They continuously asked me who I was
working with. They knew that I wasn't a regular Jedi in hiding..."

Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "But you're not working with anyone really...." He wasn't
really, yet. She took a deep breath and sighed. "I don't think that I could have convinced the
Moff that I am not in legue with the Jedi. That would have been....I would have been....hiding
with Mon Mothma. And that would not have been fun."

Kal_Thanatos looked at her for a second, "Mon Mothma? What do you mean, Lana?" He was curious as
to why she would bring up Mon Mothma. He had heard what had happened, and now was wondering what
she meant.

Ilanah_Thanatos paused. "I took her place in senate when she was declared a traitor, Kal....."
She paled a little. Ilanah knew where she was, but until Kal was firmly on her side, she
shouldn't have even mentioned it. "She had to go into hiding, is all. No one knows where."

Kal_Thanatos took a breath of relief in his head. He really didn't want to hear that she was
working with her. He nodded to her, "Good. I thought that you were talking about you would be
right there with her, cause you were working with her...."

Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "Of course not. I haven't even seen her in years." She said
softly. "Just out of curosity...what would you have done if I was working with her?"

Kal_Thanatos paused for a moment. He wasn't sure what he would have done. It was his job to
fight traitors of the Empire, but would he have turned her in. He shook his head as he looked at
her, "Nothing. I would have done nothing. I couldn't turn you in...."

Ilanah_Thanatos rubbed his chest gently with her fingertips through the fabric of his shirt.
"How about another tea?" She asked before she sat up a little more.

Kal_Thanatos gently shook his head, "No thanks Lana..." He was beginning to wonder what kind of
reward he would receive for turning in such a traitor as Mon Mothma or one like her. He would
definately gain the trust of the High Inquisitor then, and wouldn't have to prove himself any
further.

Ilanah_Thanatos had a bad feeling that he was thinking something that she really didn't want him
to be thinking. So she distracted him. Very gently, she leaned down and pressed her lips
tenderly against his. First kiss in years? Of course it would be good.

Kal_Thanatos 's thoughts were thrown off as she had leaned down and kissed him. Yes, it was the
first kiss in years. In fact, his only kiss in years. Memories flooded his mind, some of
his...and thanks to his ability to read the history of an object, inanimate or not, there were
some of hers floating around in his head...

Ilanah_Thanatos was trying not to think of anything important, like what she had really been
doing on Coruscant, and simply focused on him. When she finally pulled back, she lingered close.
"I'm sorry...."

Kal_Thanatos looked at her with a puzzled look, "For what, Lana?"

Ilanah_Thanatos "I maybe....was that too soon?" She asked, regarding her kissing him. She should
have waited, or let him, when he was ready.

Kal_Thanatos quickly shook his head, "No. It was good timing actually..."

Ilanah_Thanatos : Why do you say that?

Kal_Thanatos looked into her eyes, "Cause we are back together. It would have been weird if we
hadn't gotten back together..."

Ilanah_Thanatos paused. "Why wouldn't we have?"

Kal_Thanatos shrugged, "I don't know. Just thought that you and what's his face were
together...but I'll take it that you both split, right?"

Ilanah_Thanatos sat up a little and pushed her fingers through his hair. "Tremaine." She said
simply. "It was just....a couple of dates....mostly work." She now felt guilty about something
else entirely.

Kal_Thanatos looked at her for a moment. He could feel that there was something bothering her.
He would ask her, "What is it? There's something that is bothering you, isn't there? You can
tell me..."

Ilanah_Thanatos : I dated someone....I had our marriage annulled and I dated someone.

Kal_Thanatos looked down for a moment. He didn't like to hear the fact that she was with another
man, after leaving him. He took a deep breath, releasing it slowly, "It's fine. You shouldn't
feel bad. I treated you like that, and that's what a normal person would do..."

Ilanah_Thanatos would move closer to him and guide his chin up with her fingertips. "I've never
been with anyone but you." She confessed. "Ever."

Kal_Thanatos 's eyes moved up and met with hers as she told him he was her only. A small smile
came to his face. There was some relief in hearing that. "Honestly, I'm glad to hear that.
Knowing that you were with someone else would have hurt..."

Ilanah_Thanatos : Never....I never even once thought about it.

Kal_Thanatos smiled even more. That couldn't have been any more music to his ears. He leaned
into her and held her close.

Ilanah_Thanatos held tightly onto him. "For what?" She murmured. He would feel how terrible she
felt. But honestly, she had always thought of the day she might see him again, and falling in
love with him all over again was not the scenario that she had in mind.

Kal_Thanatos hesitated for a moment as he could feel the emotions coming from her. He would soon
respond, "For giving me a second chance..."

Ilanah_Thanatos sighed. "You can feel everything I feel...."

Kal_Thanatos nodded to her, "I can...and when our skin touches, I can sometimes see things that
you've experienced...as well as some of your memories replay in my head..."

Ilanah_Thanatos blinked a little and pulled away suddenly. She wasn't able to hide her panic.
What had he already seen?

Kal_Thanatos 's eye brows moved down, showing that he was a little confused at why she had
pulled away with a panic look on her face. He quickly asked her, "What is it?"

Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "I just didn't know that you could do that....I'm sorry...." She
said. The thought occured to her that his connection with her may be the best way to ease him
over from the Dark Side. It was risky, but just flat out telling him was risky too.

Kal_Thanatos quickly nodded his head, "Yea...it is actually a trait that all my people have.
Psychometry is what they call it. It allows us to read the memories of objects, inanimate or
not...."

Ilanah_Thanatos slowly, she would settle back onto the bed next to him. "What if you see
something that you don't like, Kal?"

Kal_Thanatos took a moment to think about what she had said and wondered why she would say that.
As he was looking at her, and snapped out of his thoughts, he would ask, "There something that
you are hiding in there? Why would there be anything I wouldn't like?"

Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head only a little and then slid closer to him. "It was only a
question. That's all." He still scared her a little, he was very powerful after all.

Kal_Thanatos nodded it off as if it was nothing. He had one more question for her, "If there was
something, you would tell me, right?"

Their time on Naboo had been too short it seemed. Lana did no work, nor did she return calls while she was there. The hours, then days, then the couple of weeks passed. The time seemed to fly by and before she knew it, Lana had packed her suitcase again and was watching her guard (who had returned just that hour) load her things onto the ship.

The platinum band was back on her finger again, as he had given it back to her just the weekend before. It was quiet and intimate, the complete opposite of the first time that they had wed, but it was better, at least for her. Kal still seemed conflicted, when it came right down to it, but he seemed happy with her. She hoped he was, at least.

Lana bit her lower lip and sighed as her guard dissapeared into the ship and started up the engines before she turned back and went into the villa. "Are you going to stay here....?" She murmured as she moved up behind Kal and slid her arms around his waist. They hadn't discussed the plans yet, but she was very wary about the fact that they were quite possibly going separate ways, for who knew how long.

She rested her chin on his shoulder as she waited for an answer from him.

The time had been short during their visit. Kal hadn't wanted to have this all end, but both of them had to return to their work. He watched as her guard loaded her bags, and once he had disappeared onto the vessel, she came up sliding her arms around his waist and asking him a question. He hadn't really thought about what his exact plans were to be, but now that they were wed once again, there would be no reason for the two of them to once again live together. Their jobs wouldn't get in the way, even if it tried.

"I'm not staying here...I'm returning with you. My job allows me to move freely, and what better place to defend the Empire than from the Capital? We can now both live there without problems"

She slid around so she was in front of her spouse and she looked up at him. "On my ship or yours?" She assumed that since he said he was going win her, that he was literally going to be there. And that was a relief, as she wasn't quite ready to part yet. It had been more emotional than she expected.

"I liked running away from home....I think I needed he break. " She said before she would go ahead and board the ship. Kal could fly or let her guard fly, whichever he preferred. She would settle herself in the small stateroom at he desk and check her comm unit and find a ton of messages.

Suddenly, Tremaine's number popped up and a highly encrypted messaged followed. She read it once and then again and sighed. She felt guilty for just leaving like that and not taking the time to speak to the Moff about ships before she had left, like she and Tremaine had discussed. She would be sure to do it when she got back. Lana shut off the comm unit and laid it on the desk. She hadn't thought to shut the door nor did she worry about Kal seeing or overhearing anything. He would find out eventually. She would then get up to go and find him if he wasn't already there.

He would shortly follow behind on board the vessel. He was going to leave the one that he had used there on Naboo. Not as a trick, but more as a safety precaution. The guard would offer him the chance to fly the vessel back home, but Kal declined. He wasn't one for flying a whole lot.

He hadn't seen exactly where Lana had gone, but soon found out where she was. Kal stood in the doorway, just as she had set the comlink down on the desk.

"Anything important?"

Lana had just rested her forehead in her hand when she heard his voice from the doorway. She looked up and over her shoulder at him. "The usual....vote on this because of this reason, don't vote on this because of that reason....you know." Ilanah took a breath and looked to him. "And a message from Tremaine...work stuff. He bought a gas mine or something...." she shook her head and pushed the commlink away from her.

She was honestly afraid to go home. Everything that was going to happen was scaring her to death, but she knew she had to work through it. Once she had Kal on her side, she knew it would be alright.

He gave her a small nod, "Work stuff...I see. Got to love the fact that work is so important in our lives..." There was something inside of him that made him feel that there was way more to all of this. Kal wasn't able to really able to put his finger on it, but thanks to his training, he would eventually find out.

She offered him a small smile and a nod. "It is...important. I can work from home though, or off planet. Or anywhere really. But I do need to be on Coruscant. I have some meetings in the next couple of weeks that are important." She paused a moment, and thought before she spoke again.

"Do you think....." She started, and then hesitated. "that the uhm....that the Empire....is right about everything? Everything that they do....?" She asked, testing the waters to see what he thought. Lana was pretty sure that she already knew the answer.

Kal paused for a moment as she asked him if the Empire was right about everything. After being there when the Temple had been attacked and having to return to his family, and then upon seeing just how the Empire took to those that claimed to be Jedi, he felt as if the Empire was in the right with hunting down the Jedi. They either needed to be turned or killed, in his eyes. He shook his head, "I'm sure that there are things that the Empire must do, even if they aren't right in the people's eyes. Of course, some of the things the Empire does can be avoided, which always makes me wonder why they do it then..."

Ilanah drew in a breath and picked up her stylus from her desk as well as her datapad. "You were lucky to have survived what happened in that Temple, Kal. Alot of Jedi weren't so lucky, right?" She asked as she tested the waters a little more. "All I am saying is that....I've seen alot in senate that....that doesn't make sense for the people of the galaxy....but....its passed because its being made to be passed." She turned her gaze to him.

"Maybe it's not the Jedi who are wrong."

Kal blinked a few times at her statement. He shook his head, "Now what the hell makes you think that? What would make you believe that the Jedi are the good guys here?" He couldn't understand what would make her think like that, and especially to him, an Inquisitor. He had been there when the Temple was attacked. One of their own turned on them, and killed most of the Order. He had been one of the few and lucky ones to have escaped, but Kal would never forget what actually happened that day in the Temple.

She shook her head quickly. "No I just mean...that maybe views are....skewed somehow. That....maybe things.....didn't happen the way everyone made you think that they did." She said. Lana was getting nervous as to where this conversation was going, but she was going to try at least. "Maybe....Kal...." Lana paused and offered him a small smile. "Things aren't always as they seem, I suppose."

He laughed a little, "And I would bet that you believe they were framed for it all?" With the torture that he had been through, the darkness that he had held mostly inside until his joining of the Inquisitorious was beginning to surface more and more. Not because of Lana, or because of the topic they were talking about. It was something that was just slowly happening due to the mental breakdown and build up that he had gone through. The mental barrier that he had once created was almost nearly crumbled. If there wasn't anything done soon, it would be difficult for Kal to recover from the full fall to the Dark Side.

She got to her feet then and shut the stateroom door. Not that her guard did not already know what was going on with her. "The Empire is not right, Kal. They are not right and they never will be." She said as she turned her attention back to him. "You promised me before you got caught that you would do anything for me. For us. I need you to remember that now and you need to come back to me. You are not this evil, dark person. And you are only an Inquisitor because I need you to be." She paused for a moment and drew in a breath. "It may look like I work for the Empire, but I don't. I despise every single thing that they have done and that they are going to do."

A moment of panic crossed her as she watched his expression. "And you....I need your help and protection. That's why I asked you to do what you did....and that is why I felt and feel so guilty for what it did to you. Because it destroyed everything that you said you wanted when you found me on Coruscant." Lana stopped again and tried to calm down and keep herself from crying.

"You have a choice. Listen and understand or turn me in....and they'll kill me. It's up to you."

He didn't say a word at first. He stood there, looking at her. He was in shock after finding out that first, she was one of the ones that was fighting against the Empire, secretly. Secondly, he had gotten himself caught, just cause she needed him to be. Third was that he wasn't sure what to do. If he were to turn her in, it would ruin his life. She was all he had, and all he wanted. If he would help her, join her cause, then surely he would be killed protecting her in some way. His mind continued to race with everything that he had heard in just a matter of a minute or so. He shook his head, "I....I don't...." He stopped and looked at her, "I'm sorry Lana....I shouldn't have became this person I am today. My main concern is that you stay with me and you stay safe. That is why I don't care which side I am on as long as I'm with you. I told you that I want to be with you, and that is what I'm going to do...."
