| Having received confirmation to dock; after all, a bounty hunter who obeyed the law was never frowned upon; at least by those who didn't mind such, Maximov landed safely. His ship did tend to draw odd looks from time to time, but a memorable vessel was often attributed to Boba Fett rather than to himself. Few people even in the hunting business knew his real name. To many, he was Shiv Rennick, bounty hunter with the luck of the devil, so to speak. Dimitri Maximov was simply a ghost. Here, on Chandrila, Maximov felt at ease, save for when he though of Senator Thanatos. There was a dark presence in his mind when he thought of her, but he chalked it up to her association with an Inquisitor. There was no reason for him to feel ill at ease otherwise. Getting to meet with her though, that would be a problem. For now, he remained in the spaceport.

| Animus walked to the door, "Then you don't mind if I'm going to search your estates. You've nothing to hide." It sounded as if he was ordering her to let him in, rather than seeking for her approval. The Inquisitor was waiting for her to answer. He doesn't particularly like politicians. The dark jedi viewed them as power-hungry people, seeking to advance their own interests rather than their own people. He despise them because they have a tendency to argue over something pointless. "You said most Chandrilans, not all. When there's one, there's more."

| Ilanah shrugged a little. "Fine....go ahead...." He wouldn't find anything that would implicate either of them in there. In fact, he wouldn't find much at all except a well decorated "country" home, with large sitting areas and fireplaces. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and a huge kitchen for a certain Senator who liked to cook (but only had time to when home on Chandrila), and the entire basement was a gaming room with a pool table, etc. The backyard was filled with gardens and fountains and at the very back was a vegetable garden and a few beehives. She would follow Animus into the manor, her arms still crossed over her midsection as she walked. Riley immediately looked upset and put a hand on his blaster pistol as though he was going to draw it, but she shook her head a little for him to back down. There was nothing that the man could do for either of them except get himself killed. Truthfully, this whole visit was starting to get to her and she felt a little nauseated. "You are not going to find anything, Inquisitor." She said as she placed herself next to the hulking bodyguard and stayed there.

| Maximov was slightly curious as he sat in his vessel, considering things. When he'd come down, landing in the open-top docking bay, he'd spotted an older-model vessel, a Belbullab-22, two bays down. Maximov knew the designers, Feethan Ottraw Scalable Assemblies, had been part of the Techno Union. Now it was true that some elite pilots continued to use the craft, but how many sported such a craft with the name of The Dark Force? That nearly screamed darksider. Maximov's own Fist of the Suns was a mouthful, but for him, the meaning came as a paired vessel; his companion ship that was the anvil he broke his enemies upon. This bore some exploring through, and as such, Maximov swathed himself in his normal gray cloak and departed his vessel, heading for the bay that contained the Belbullab-22. There was no mistaking the dark presence on this world though, and as such, Maximov took care to cloak his Force abilities. Oh, he might come across as Force-sensitive, but many beings were endowed such.

| The Inquisitor got inside the manor, sensing the bodyguard getting upset. He looked over at the man, and grinned. "I would like to see you try. It would only mean the end of your life and the arrest of the Senator." Animus was testing the guy, trying to give himself an excuse to end a life. He also could sense the Senator getting nervous, "If you have nothing to hide, then why are you nervous?" He began to walk toward a fireplace that had a large sitting area. The dark jedi began to snoop the place bit by bit, looking for clues to indicate that things are not hat it seems with the marriage between the Inquisitor and the Senator. Then he moved on investigating the bedrooms and bathrooms. Animus was very picky in each room, closely monitoring every little thing. After doing so, he headed back downstairs to investigate the kitchen. Oh, how much the dark jedi loved the torture. He knew Inquisitor Thanatos was a Jedi, so was he. He was in a similar situation. However, Inquisitor Animus couldn't very well be trusting anyone else. If Thanatos was working undercover for the Jedi or something, he would like to know. The investigation inside the kitchen was over, as he decided to go to the basement. There, it was full of gaming. It reminded himself of his childhood, and that angered him. It angered him because he felt he wasted his time being a Jedi in their Order back then. Now, he doesn't play games often. The Inquisitor has been busy wreaking havoc in order to weed out the Jedi survivors, so he could kill them. The basement was done, as he returned upstairs to the Senator and the bodyguard. He could have checked the backyard, but he had seen nothing so far. That urged him to stop wasting his time and get out of there as soon as possible. "I didn't find anything, Senator. But that still doesn't mean you're off the hook. We're going to monitor your husband's movements carefully." The Inquisitor told the Senator, as he was ready to get out of her estate. There was one thing he wanted to do before leaving. "Just remember the price of betrayal." The dark jedi raised his right gloved hand, and launched an attack in the Force. The bodyguard would feel pressure tightening around his neck, starting to choke. Animus would let him suffer for a bit before letting the grip go. By the time the bodyguard fell to the ground and the Senator would tend to his need, the dark jedi would disappear out of the estate and used the speeder to head back to the hangar bay. The Inquisitor is going to resume hunting for the Jedi, feeling a strong urge to kill a Jedi.

| (( Not sure if you were posting further, Ilanah. If so, I apologize for over-posting you. )) By the time the owner of The Dark Force would have returned to the docking bay, Maximov had already placed a small, but efficient homing beacon near the ship's rear and disguised it with a putty-like substance that would be hard to recognize on sight, looking like part of the ship's hull. He'd taken great pains to remain out of view of any holocams as well and then simply roamed the halls of the docking bay, acting like any other man who was either returning to his vessel or simply looking about at those who shared the docking facility with his.

| As the Inquisitor started his search, Lana calmed Riley down in hushed tones. "There is no point in getting upset and trying to raise arms against him, Riley. He will kill you, or both of us without hesitation." She murmured as she rested her hand on one of Riley's well muscled forearms. The Senator kept herself close to him, more for her own comfort than anything else, until the Inquisitor returned and announced he had found nothing, and she moved to the side a bit. "I told you that you would not, Inquisi...." She barely got her sentence out before he was threatening again. A moment later, Riley gasped next to her and started clawing at his neck. Lana reached up and tried to gently pry his hands away before she started to yell at the Inquisitor this time. "Let him....g...." She trailed off, as she looked over her shoulder and saw that the Inquisitor was gone and Riley was in a heap on the floor. Immediately she dropped to his side, checking to make sure she was breathing before she yelled for help from one of the maids in the manor. "Call a physician to the house immediately." She asked her gently. It was then that the senator realized she was in tears, and trembling. He was breathing and seemed like he was going to be fine, but she wanted him to be checked out anyway.

| The Inquisitor kept pushing the speeder to its limit. The authorities on Chandrila could have tried to apprehend him. Then the Imperial authorities would move in and overturn their authority. That would take some time, though. The dark jedi didn't like to be patient and let time pass by, except when he's out hunting for the Jedi. He just wanted to get off Chandrila as soon as possible. The dark jedi didn't stay in one place too long. His stay on Chandrila was probably one of the shortest ones he ever had. Once the speeder reached the hangar bay, Animus got off the speeder. He would casually walk toward the hangar bay, where his Belbullab-22 would be standing by. The dark jedi looked around to make sure no one was following him, before entering the hangar bay. Once he saw his Belbullab-22, he began to jog a little bit. Approaching the fighter, the Inquisitor used the Force to ignite the engines. The engines were revved up by the time Animus jumped into the cockpit seat. The cockpit window closed, and The Dark Force took off. That was when the Grand Vizier Pestage had contacted him through the holotransmitter. He was being told to go to Tatooine to apprehend one or more Jedi fugitives, and to meet with a contact for more details. The Inquisitor bowed to the wishes of Pestage. Now, that was the type of man Animus liked. Pestage relied on a series of sabotage, manipulation, and assassination during his rise with Palpatine throughout their career. He shook his head of admiration toward Pestage, as he dialed in the coordinates to Tatooine. Moments later, The Dark Force entered into hyperspace en route Tatooine.

| Maximov watched the Inquisitor move past him, almost close enough to touch. The assassin could not resist the possibility of a chance and allowed the smallest touch of the Force to be felt. Whether or not the Inquisitor picked up on it was unknown as of yet, as the man leaped to his craft and took off. The tracking beacon though, would still do its job. For Dimitri, the senator was his primary mission. Outside the docking bay, a carelessly unguarded speeder had been left without the security of a holocam to watch over it or a rider nearby. Making sure he was in the clear from watchers, Maximov commandeered it and followed his senses, leading him away from the spaceport and towards the residence he'd marked as belonging to the planet's senator. Sure enough, as the home came into sight, he could feel the residue of a dark touch. The Inquisitor had been here. Before he approached the dwelling, his first manner of business was to look for guards.

| There were guards. A few, but they were mainly focused on what was going on inside the house, not the outside. If someone were to arrive, they would find the property easily accessible for the most part. There was an ambulance hovering out front and the senator was on the porch, watching as Riley was loaded in. His injuries were not terrible, but he still needed to be observed. She hated seeing him like that, weakened and struggling to breathe on his own so there was an oxygen mask covering part of his face. The other two guards were standing nearby, but admittedly, they weren't paying attention. Ilanah looked to both of them and sighed. "Take the rest of the day off....the Inquisitor won't be returning." She hardly worried on Chandrila. And they could always set the alarms in needed. They would protest, of course, but she waved them off anyway. Reluctantly, they both retired to the smaller house on the estate, where the small amount of staff lived in comfort. The Senator, in the meantime, lingered on the porch for a moment before she went inside the house to start picking up the mess from the aftermath of the Inquisitor's visit.

| Having scoped out the housing and noted no openly-shown holocams, Maximov cloaked his presence with the Force. It was not invisibility, so to speak, but the Umbarran Shadow Assassins had used the talent to a great effect. Thoroughly 'hidden,' he made his way to the front door, where, if it were unlocked, he'd enter and make himself known. If locked, he'd pick the lock and make himself known just the same. Maximov was prepared to counter any security alarms or items the Senator might have. Ideally, it would be a peaceable meeting.

| They hadn't set the alarms yet, and the door was locked but only with the one lock in the knob. Security wasn't usually a huge issue on Chandrila, but the Senator was sure that the guards were already plotting to heighten it after the little encounter that afternoon. Despite her letting them go for the afternoon, the two were prowling the premises, keeping their distance from the house to give the Senator her space. There were two maids inside with her, one was fixing supper (that Ilanah would likely not feel up to eating) and the second was picking up any and all misplaced objects that had been forcibly moved by the Inquisitor. The house felt off to Ilanah, as she moved through the hallways from room to room. It felt hollow and unsafe now. Surely, she thought, the feeling would pass. In time it would, but for the moment, she just wanted to either be out of there or Kal to come home. At that moment, even Riley would have been ok. Instead of worrying on it anymore, she moved towards the foyer to set the alarms on the keypad on the wall.
