| Inquisitor Animus had been unusually busy lately, picking up the slack of the High Inquisitor Deschain. It looked like the man was extremely busy, perhaps too busy to notice that Senator Thanatos were married to an Inquisitor named Kal. Kal joined the ranks pretty recently, and he felt something fishy going on. An Inquisitor aren't usually married, especially to a Senator. It may be a bad career move, especially for Senator Thanatos. Inquisitors are worst-kept secret within the Empire, and imagine what other politicians would react when she was married to an Inquisitor. The Dark Force dropped out of hyperspace, with Chandrila in sight. It was home to the former Senator and Imperial traitor Mon Mothma. The Empire have been monitoring Chandrila carefully, but so far Senator Thanatos had done a good job of being an Imperial Senator. Animus had sent the code to the Chandrilan docking authority, indicating he's someone of importance within the Empire. The only people with landing clearance everywhere are high-ranking Imperial officers...and Inquisitors. He had learned something from an incident between the High Inquisitor and a Senator, not to mention his recent actions. Do not do anything without being absolutely certain. The Grand Vizier and the Director of Imperial Intelligence was not happy with the Inquisitor, and he hoped to make them pleased by checking in the Senator of Chandrila. He went ahead and flew the Belbullab-22 starfighter toward the atmosphere, hoping that the docking authority would let him land into a hangar bay reserved for a lot of important people due to his code.

| The docking authority would, of course, grant the Inquisitor permission to land. One opened a line of communication between the tower and the star fighter. "Where are you headed, sir?" The attendant would question. Once Animus would answer, he would direct him to the appropriate bay and there would be a speeder waiting for his trip. Senator Thanatos was at her estate, enjoying her time at home and away from the bustle of Imperial Center. She was also spending the time preparing for the arrival (hopefully) of Senator Kuriyoshi and his wife. Imperial Center got to the senator at times and it was nice to be home, with gardens and grass and blue skies that weren't blacked out by skyscrapers and smog. That afternoon, she sat out in the garden just enjoying the day. It was warm out, though there was a light breeze. She had settled herself in a comfortable swing that hung from a tree branch, and was reading the news along with doing some work on her datapad. Senate had been slow, since her proposal went through, so it was a good time for a break. Her thoughts were on Kal alot, and she wondered where he was or what he was doing. She didn't know, and she wasn't sure that she needed to know what he was doing. All she needed was for him to come home safely. The Senator saw someone approach from the corner of her eye and recognized the hulking figure as being Riley, her personal guard. "Ma'am, docking control just called and said that an official was on his way here. Nothing more, just an official." Lana looked up at him, brightening a little. "Maybe the senator? Wonderful. I had hoped he would at least call first, but no matter. Show them in when they arrive." She had absolutely no idea who was actually going to be showing up.

| The Inquisitor didn't really need to answer to the docking authority, as the codes had proven that he had one of the highest clearances in the Empire. That showed he was someone important, one that doesn't really need some answering to. It's not like he could reveal his identity anyway, not any more than necessary. Only a very few sentient beings knew of his identity, Agent Naeva being one of them. She was on his mind for a moment, but then he took her off his mind. He had a mission to do, and that was to check up on Senator Thanatos. Ever since that day he switched to the dark side, he loved putting fear into a lot of people. He loved inflicting pain upon several sentient beings, especially the Jedi for what they had done to him. Animus was always full of anger, full of hatred. He was not interested in anything except unleash vengeance upon Jedi and their allies. That is the reason of this visit, to see if Senator Thanatos was using Inquisitor Thanatos. The dark jedi never liked politicians. He never see the point in arguing over something that'd probably never get passed. The Imperial Senate is the last remnant of the Old Republic, one that has a very little real power. The Chandrilian's powers as a Senator would disappear at a drop of a hat if the Inquisitor were to discover she is doing something that isn't Imperial-like. Once he landed his Belbullab-22 fighter, he revved the engines down and jumped off. The dark jedi wore a dark cloak, with a hood covering his face. He was also wearing black gloves, and black combat boots. In all, he was covering every part of himself unless he'd like for someone to see his face. There was also a lightsaber attached to his belt, hidden behind the cloak. There was a speeder for him to use, and he leaped into it. Animus took off right away, heading for Senator Thanatos' estate. On the way there, he was thinking of different ways to make an entrance. Being scary was what intrigued his mind the most. Eventually, he arrived at the estate. He jumped off the speeder, and headed for the door.

| Lana had gotten up and gone inside the house to see if there was anything she could do to prepare for their guests arrival. Of course, she expected another Senator and his wife. As she sat a try with dishes on it for tea out on the coffee table, Ilanah stole a glance outside to see if the speeder had arrived. One pulled up moments later, but she moved away from the window and didn't see who got out of it. As she made her way to the front door, she waved away one of the maids who was going to answer the door. Lana glanced to Riley, who was lingering nearby (as always). "It's just another Senator, Riley. No need to get worked up." The Senator smiled before she opened the door. Her gaze fell on the dark cloaked figure that was moving towards the doorway, and her smile faded quickly. By the time he would reach the doorstep, she would have paled considerably as she stepped out to meet him. Ilanah looked up at the man. His eyes resonated evil. "Who are you?" She asked, though she was afraid of the answer. No, she wasn't sure what Animus was, but she had a feeling. That feeling was incredibly upsetting. The first thought in her mind was that this man....this....thing....was coming to tell her that her husband was dead. Of course, she didn't say it, but it was what she was afraid of, among other things.

| The Inquisitor would grin evilly once he sensed fear right in front of the Senator. He would cross his arms, being silent for a moment. Animus wanted to see whether she would panic right away. "I am Inquisitor Animus." The dark jedi's tone sounded raspy. It might sound scary to the Senator standing in front of him. Before speaking up once again, he used his left hand to pull the robe back little bit. This move would have Ilanah see his lightsaber. "I am here about your husband." He let go of the cloak, putting his lightsaber into hiding once again. The Inquisitor looked up, so he could see what the Senator really looked like. She would be able to see the yellowness in his eyes, showing how deeply devoted to the dark side Animus is.

| She looked up at him. "What about him?" Ilanah asked as she closed the door behind her so that Riley would not see what was going on and try to do something stupid. Perhaps that was ignorant on her part. He likely wouldn't be able to save her if something happened, but she knew he would at least try. "I apologize. I was expecting company....you caught me off guard." "Please tell me what it is you need." His yellow eyes were disturbing at best, but she refused to let it show. And she was focusing on not being afraid, as she felt there was really nothing to be afraid of, yet. The senator stayed wary, however.

| The dark jedi took a step forward, standing in front of the Senator. He stared at her in the eyes for a moment, before finally speaking. "I was sent to check up on your marriage. I just wanted to make sure whether it was a sham. The Inquisitors aren't really supposed to be married, ya know." Animus began to walk back and forth, keeping his eyes locked on the lady. "However, if you can prove to me that you aren't marrying him for any sinister reasons, do so now." He was already demanding, and that's how he does things. In a way, Inquisitorus are above Senators. They don't answer to Senators, only to Director of Imperial Intelligence, Darth Vader, and the Emperor himself.

| As he stepped forward, she stepped back, effectively backing herself up against the front door. "If I recall, Jedi weren't supposed to be married either....but wasn't all of that destroyed? Why does it matter anymore?" She said as she tried to come up with a response to his demands. "What sinister reasons could I possibly have? I am loyal to the Empire....my record should show that." It was true, in her voting. There were only a few, absolutely ridiculous things that she had voted against. Ilanah watched him quietly. She didn't expect him to understand why she was married to Kal. It wasn't for any reason he was probably thinking she was, but it was likely he wouldn't believe her anyway.

| His head tilted almost right away, "Just like the cowardly Jedi..." He spoke out the word Jedi with a hint of hatred. That would indicate he really hated the Jedi very much. The Senator wouldn't have known why, and he doesn't plan on revealing this to her. "the Inquisitors aren't really supposed to be tied down. Our job requires a lot of work and scrunity. We don't have the time to date around, much less marriage. Our love is to the Galactic Empire and Galactic Empire only." Hopefully, that'd tell Ilanah that the Empire were and still is very strict about keeping Inquisitors from being distracted. "So you can see why an Inquisitor marrying someone, especially a Senator, is distrubing. We just wanted to see if you aren't a rebel sympathizer trying to rub Inquisitor Thanatos off. An Inquisitor can be very valuable to those who defy the Empire."

| "Well then I am not sure why you are wasting your time here. If I were a rebel sympathizer and betraying the Empire, I am sure he could take care of the situation post haste." She responded quietly. "I married him years ago." Lana said. "Before all of this. So if there is nothing else....I am sure you know your way back to your ship." The Senator said. She was pretty sure that he would not drop it so easily, but she had hidden nothing, well, almost nothing, so far.

| The Inquisitor raised his eyebrows when she said she married him years ago. Before the Republic transformed into the Empire. "You were married years ago? So either he was a Jedi fighting for the Republic or he was a dark jedi working for the Separatists. Either way, those are the reasons to be suspicious." The dark jedi locked his eyes on the Senator, "So it's possible that he is a rebel sympathizer, and not you." The Force works in strange ways. To those that do not feel the Force, Animus would appear insane. To those that do, even the tiniest hint are to be taken seriously. There is a reason the Empire had established the top but worst-kept secret force-sensitive organization known as the Inquisitorus. Darth Vader does the most recruiting, from an angry Jedi to a dark jedi. "You better show me the evidence, or I'll make you show me evidence." His tone sounds threatening at the moment, crossing his arms.

| She sighed, out of sheer frustration. "I told you what I know. I don't know what evidence you want me to show you...do you want hard proof? Obviously words aren't enough... I don't know what you want from me!" She was obviously upset and angry. And she obviously had no idea what the Inquisitor wanted her to show him. If he had done any manner of checking at all, he would have seen her voting record and her apparent loyalty to the Empire. And had he looked further, he would have known that Kal would not have gone through what he went through for nothing. "Aren't there some Jedi or rebels or something you should be chasing across the galaxy? I am sure that is where he is...doing his job....and not harassing a politician." Ilanah paused for a moment and narrowed her eyes as she crossed her arms over her midsection. "I am not her, you know." She referred to Mon Mothma. "Why would I stay in senate if what you believe is true? Seems dangerous and stupid to me." The Senator said softly as she calmed a bit.

| There were those interested in certain members of the Inquisitorious; specifically newly-converted members. After all, a sizable bounty had been placed upon the head of Caden Sturn, which meant that other, less-known Inquisitors might well be tied up in some treachery... or perhaps be in contact with the wayward Sturn. The GenoHaradan, after all, always looked far and deep behind the obvious. It was this reason that brought Maximov to Chandrila. The connection between the name of 'Thanatos' was unmistakable. It was not a common name by any means. Ilanah Thanatos, Senator. That was legitimate by all means. Kal Thanatos, new Inquisitor and matching the Kal Thanatos who had once been a Jedi? More than a match as her husband. And so, as Maximov emerged near Chandrila, he did not expect Thanatos or any other darksiders to be on the world. He planned to poke around on his own. Transmitting his landing request to the docking control, he listed himself for what he was: a bounty hunter.

| The Inquisitor shook his head a little bit, "Don't make a scene. I can make you disappear, woman." Animus' tone continued to be eerie. He obviously isn't one for small talk. Animus doesn't have much patience, neither. "Anyone can vote and show a false sense of loyalty to the Empire. It's funny you mentioned Mon Mothma. She's the perfect example of that." The dark jedi snarled. He may be just an Inquisitor, but he kept himself up-to-date on current events. He had to, if he was going to weed out traitors that want to bring down the mighty Empire. Animus cackled evilly when she told him how to do his job. "You fool. I am doing my job. I am hunting for possible traitors. That includes you. Besides, if I harass you...you will know it fully well." The dark jedi continued to have his eyes locked on hers. "Being a Senator doesn't mean you're loyal to the Empire. It means you're loyal to Chandrila, homeworld of Mon Mothma." Oh, how much Animus loves grilling the Senator. He does this a lot ever since he turned into a Dark Acolyte when he decided to betray the Jedi during the Clone Wars.

| Ilanah flinched a little as he snapped at her. "I have told you everything that I know, and don't know....Inquisitor." He hadn't really asked her many questions that she could discern from the rambling and accusatory tones. "So unless you have any other questions....I do not know what else you want." She paused for a moment. "I know what she did, and I promise you that I am not doing that. Not that I have to answer to you in regards to my job. Most Chandrilans want nothing more than to live in peace and harmony....and not stir the pot, per say." She probably did to an extent, but he really was not going to find anything there on Chandrila. Nor would he find anything wrong if he were to look into her finances.
