| His eyes would focus in on the device as it was pulled out of her purse and set down on the table. It truly was an amazing little device. What someone had to do in order to think up and finally create such an invention was remarkable. The time that had to have been put in. Not to mention the money they would have needed just to purchase the supplies. All of it combined would make this incredible device.
His eyes would meet back up with hers a moment later. She had that same idea all along. Could she have been wanting this all along? He shook it out of his head. She wouldn't have manipulated it all. That just wasn't her.
"I understand. We can further our discussion later on, once we are back home." He would give her a smile, showing her that it didn't bother him that it would have to wait.
"You mentioned having a ship built. What were you thinking of getting?" He would ask her, just trying to see what she had in mind.

| He would be so dissapointed when he would find out that she was exactly what he thought she was not. It wasn't a choice for her anymore. Perhaps that way was not her before she was a senator, and before the Empire, but it had to be now. She didn't say anything else about it, and instead would turn her attention to the menu.
"So this is a nice place, isn't it?" her small talk was possibly lacking a little, but she wasn't sure what else to say for the moment. The restaurant that they were in floated, and revolved to give views from all around. "I like it here."
Ilanah fussed with the menu for a moment and then sat it down before she would order something from the waitress. Something light and not too much for her, as she hadn't felt like eating too much as of late. "I don't know what ship....something safer, I suppose. More space?" She didn't really know about ships.

| He would take a look around, nodding in agreement. It was a very nice place. Probably the nicest place that he had been to, ever. The atmosphere alone was something he wasn't used to. He looked back across the table, "We should have nights like this more often. We both need nice nights out, right?"
He thought that she was going to ignore the whole ship question that he had asked her before she brought up the place. He would have to order before he could try and give her some pointers for when she talks with the shipbuilder.
It was now his turn to place his order with the waitress. His eyes frantically scanned the menu, trying to find something he even knew of. Then, his eyes stopped. A smile came across his face as he looked up to the woman, ordering himself a medium cooked steak. Meat was always an easy choice for him.
Just as she nodded and walked off, Kal turned his attention back to Lana, "Safer would be helpful. I'd also go for something a little bit faster. It would help with the travel time between here and Chandrila. Space is always something necessary, too. A little bit of defensive armament would add to the safety you are looking for. Again, speed is the key..." He would laugh a little. Speed was obviously something important to him, and hopefully to her as well.

| "You should probably just come with me." She said with a soft sigh. Half of the point of her seeing Mr. Krandor was to get him to build a new ship for her travel, but she was almost afraid that Kal would be dissapointed or angry about the other reason she was going. Hopefully though, he would understand.
"Kal I was thinking about spending more time on Chandrila. This place makes me a little crazy. Though honestly, it doesn't feel like anywhere is safe anymore." Her run in with Brandt was something she wanted to avoid again, but the little visit from the Inquisitor on Chandrila was worse. "In the next few months at least. I thought I would ask Seraphine to take care of things here, unless she wanted to come as well."

| Kal would totally agree with her wanting to spend more time on Chandrila. Imperial Center was making him crazy too. He had known this place before it all went to hell. Back when the place was called by its actual name, Coruscant. The planet just made him think of old times. Being a Jedi Padawan. Training most of the day, studying far into the night. All of the memories were flooding his head.
He pushed them all aside, focusing back on the dinner with his wife, vocalizing his agreement with her, "Chandrila is a better place for you. There's no real reason that you would need to be here. You even said it yourself, once."

| "You mean us....right? A better place for us." She said just before the waitress brought their dinners out and sat them on the table. Ilanah watched him quietly for a moment before she turned her attention to her dinner, which was very good. Still, she didn't eat too much. Finally she sat her fork down and pushed her plate away slightly. "That was wonderful." she sat as she sat her napkin over the plate.
Once they were back in the speeder, she turned to him. "I made a mistake, Kal." She admitted. "Sending you to the Inquisitorious, don't you think?" Ilanah asked as she leaned against the seat and watched him. She had doubted alot of her choices since he came back. It bothered her most of the time, but she tried to keep it off of her mind.

| He would correct himself, just as she had done, "Yes. Us." He would give her a smile just as the food was brought out.
Outside, back at the speeder, she would begin to ask him if she had made the correct decision in sending him to the Inquisitorious. As the engine started up from the push of the ignition button, Kal turned to her. He paused a moment, thinking about where they would be right now if he hadn't joined. He would have been a Jedi in the eyes of the Empire. It didn't matter if he still followed the ways and teachings, it was the fact that he had at one point. Their marriage would have been entirely hidden from everyone.
"No. I don't think that it was a mistake, Lana. Our life would have been hell together. I would have a bounty on my head, and then you would have as well once someone found out about us. You would have been marked a traitor, even worse, a traitor aiding a Jedi." The speeder quickly took off, Kal making sure to not drive as bad as he had on the way over.
"Just think about how much better our lives are now compared to what they could have been if I didn't join the Inquisitorious..."

| "You could have hidden it." She murmured before she settled back into the seat. His words hit her pretty hard though, but she said nothing more of it for the moment. It would have been tough, but things would have been tough for them either way, considering her position in the senate.
For a split second, she wondered what it would have been like had he not stumbled into that courtyard in the winter with no memory, just a vague recollection. They wouldn't be here now, for certain. But she wouldn't be worrying day after day that something was going to happen. She would have been alone, and he would have been who knows where.
And then there was Caden. She loved him so much already, and he wasn't any bigger than her little finger. He wouldn't even exist. That thought upset her more than she expected. It was evident in her expression, and her sudden silence, which she tried to break quickly.
"Anyway, since we're alone now." Ilanah started as she shifted in the seat to make herself comfortable. "What else did you want to talk about in the restaurant?"

| The emotions that he could feel coming off of her continued to jump around. Part of him began to wonder if this was due to her pregnancy. He hadn't ever been near someone who was expecting, as long as he had been around her.
"That's right. I'd almost forgotten about that." He would hesitate a moment as he looked at her. She would have seen the seriousness in his face.
"I want to have a larger roll in all of this, Lana. I now that it is already hard for you to play both sides of the field, so to speak, but I can too. Possibly even more than you can. Think about it. I'm the one out there, hunting down Jedi. The same Jedi that could be helping you out. It would look odd if they all were to get away, but not if their transport were to be attacked by one of the ships from your rebellion. It would keep me off their radar, especially if I were aboard some of the transports." He knew the consequences of what he was thinking. Being aboard some of the transports would have to lead to him having injuries, and they would be worth it to him.
"That's not the only roll I would like to have. I want to be right there next to you, leading. You may have Jedi already on your side, but experience with the Empire is needed for this and I've got that experience."

| Nausea hit like a wave very quickly as he spoke. "I need air....can you....park? Please....?" She murmured as she shifted uncomfortably again. "Please Kal....stop..." Thankfully there was an empty park of some sort there, since it was dusk, no one was around.
Once he would stop, she would get out without a word and start walking away. It wasn't him. It was his words and what he wanted to do. Of course it was what she had wanted all along, but now that he said it, it hurt and scared her so badly. Ilanah rested one hand on her lower back as she walked, her other hand pushed her locks back from her face as she took in deep breaths.
She was sure he would follow, she could almost feel him nearby. "It's not just mine....it's....everyone, Kal. Everyone who wants out of this....horrible....nonsensical mess." There came a point where she couldn't keep it together anymore, and this seemed to be that point.

| Correct, he would have followed, keeping close to her. Nausea wasn't something that was abnormal for her at this point, but he knew his words had to be the cause behind it.
"I'm sorry, Lana. I don't mean to upset you. I really don't, just fed up with sitting by and letting people like that Moff do what he pleases because he was lucky enough to be the first on his knees pleading for the position from the Emperor. There are thousands, if not more, out there in the Galaxy wanting what we want, but you, Lana, were one of the few to step up first. That is what makes this mainly yours. You are actively doing something about it all." He would walk up to her, wrapping his arm around her back, leaning in to her.
"Come...let's get back into the speeder and get home. You'll feel better once we are back home..."

| Ilanah stopped when he put his arms around her from behind and she would draw in a deep breath and force herself to relax. "I am....not doing enough. My people hate me because of what I have to present in the Senate. They have no idea....and every time I have to vote with one of those ridiculous....stupid...." She stopped and tried to calm down.
"You're right....let's go home....." she murmured as she let him lead her back to the speeder and help her inside.

| As he helped her down into the speeder, he would softly tell her, "There are sacrifyses with every decision that we make. Your people will see one day. They will see what you've done and given up in order to keep them safe." He would gently close the door, securing her inside before heading around to the driver side and quickly climbing in.
The engine roared to life before speeding off, destined for their apartment.

| Ilanah would stay quiet for most of the trip home, until they were pretty close. "I will send a message to Tremaine tomorrow." She murmured. "He can tell me what he needs for you to do. I would send you after Kenas, personally." She said before she climbed out of the speeder at their condo after they landed. once she was inside, she immediately took her high heels off and hooked the back straps of them over her fingers as she carried them into the bedroom so that she could toss them into the closet. The device Tremaine had given her came out of her purse again and she put it on the table in their bedroom, despite the fact that no one really knew she owned the condo, or that she was living there.
"He saved my life once....I wish I could save his." She said simply, explaining herself.

| He would give her a simple nod to her mentioning her sending him after Kenas. The name sounded familiar, but couldn't seem to place it. The name would continue to linger in his head, trying to figure out just where he had heard that name.
As they entered into the bedroom, Kal pulled the hanger out from the closet, hanging his jacket back up. He turned around, seeing her place the little device out of her purse and place it down on the table.
"You will repay him eventually. Even if it is me being the one to find him and bring him to safety."
