Let the committee note that Moff Verilia has not denied corruption, so I believe it should be entered in the records that Moff Verilia has attempted to bribe multiple Imperial officials
As for Monor II, while you have mishandled it, I see no evidence that the locals intend a "holy war" against Druckenwell or nearby systems (note their recently purchased fleet is largely hyperspace immobile), I think it is a blessing no blood was shed. What right does a corporation have to make decisions for a Government of an Imperial Member world? Why do you raise the matter? I had not yet mentioned it in detail and it seems you may have a guilty heart?"

| Slai-fon's protocol droid wasn't here yet, he hated that damn thing, but they were really useful. So, instead of having a droid to record the entire interview, he was taking down notes in his datapad. Everything that was spoke was being recorded, either by an imperial droid, or by Slai-fon personally. When the Senator from Anaxes spoke about arresting him, naturally Slai-fon thought it was a bit of a rash decision, seeing as how much pressure was being put onto the Moff.

| Darres just let out a yawn as he covered his mouth before looking to Senator Ordan. "As I've said, I will not answer those questions due to the fact that they may or may not incriminate myself." He then looked to Senator Slai-Fon as he listened to him before he had a few choice thoughts on the man. Like the fact that it would help the Committee if Senator Slai-Fon actually grew a back bone.

| "Chairman Youngblood, I believe you are entitled to summon the Sergeant-At-Arms to arrest Moff Verilia for Contempt of Senate." He flicked through some documents. "I could go on but I think his refusal to "incriminate" himself seems to tell us all we need to know. I'll just outline some major points before I allow Governor Oswaldt to continue."
"Mr Verilia also lied on several occasions to the Government of Monor II, then attempted to blockade them (a repeat of the Trade Federation Naboo debacle). He now appears to have been sensible enough to run away from that confrontation, but I believe it merits a mild reprimand to encourage him not to do so in future. His company also purchased illegal vessels (Consular-class) but appears to have since sold them. It's clear he did indeed possess them illegally under the law at the time, but we can leave it to the courts to decide whether to prosecute about that."

| Darres brought his arms up in a mock shrug as he listened to Senator Ordan, while at the same time holding back a laugh before he spoke. "My legal team is advising me that it's not contempt of Senate to decline to answer questions on the basis of self incrimination." He looked to the legal retainer that was in the room with him, as well as the protocol droid that was speaking with the legal retainer before Darres looked back to Senator Ordan, whose continued actions in this hearing, proved that he was trying to make this into a vendetta trial.

| "As a legal specialist, I can assure you refusing to answer questions before a committee, I can confirm that it is considered in contempt of Senate to do so. Also Arthur Miller from Ord Holywuud was found guilty of such. Imperial Senate Ordinances back this up.. Either way, I propose his arrest and that the Senate discuss the matter and vote on an outcome regarding this contempt."

He looked to the Senator as he spoke once more. "My legal team tells me Htron Revilo declined to testify, as the Imperial Charter takes point over Imperial Senate Ordinances, mainly the fact that one can choose to decline to testify if it may or may not incriminate that person"

| "I met him during the Clone Wars and he was a very capable leader. I haven't followed much of politics, nor do I know what his real stance on that is now, which would make it difficult to answer the question about what I think of his politics now. My understanding though is that he's decided to take time off as a Senator to spend more time with his family which is an admirable trait in any man."

| Senator, I was not arguing that he would be "forced to secede" I was merely stating a simple concern that the people of the Mandate had at that current time, as for the last time that I saw my newphew-in-law, as saying newphew would imply that he is my brother's son, which he is not, then that would be correct, I am a busy man, and matters that come across my desk often take point over remembering simple days.
