He would give his superior a nod as he would extend the parcel to him, "There should be plenty more evidence for our case against him within this. There shouldn't be any further doubt that he is who we've found him to be." He would turn, looking back to where Lana had headed off to. He was able to sense that there was something bothering her.

Without turning back to him, Kal would speak further to Deschain, "If you wouldn't mind, I think that I need to talk with her further, and we both have matters that we need to deal with." His head would turn back to him, "I will speak with her about possibly getting in contact with Fowlkes while I am hunting down his fiance. She's been through a lot lately, and it would be easier hearing it from me..."

Ilanah barely glanced to the pair before she left, as there was really something bothering her. She was confused, more than she should have been, she felt. Once she was safely away, she closed the door of Caden's room behind her, then picked the child up. With a graceful movement, she dropped into her chair and rocked him gently as she tried to make sense of what was going on.

She felt awful, on top of the confusion, because now due to her stupidity Deschain had Tremaine's card. Ilanah couldn't even get ahold of him if she tried. Not to warn him,not for anything. But then, she thought, maybe Seraphine would know how to. For the moment though, she put the thoughts out of her mind and concentrated on her son, and waited for Kal.

Deschain, having palmed the card, gave it a quick once-over before handing it to Thanatos. "This is your matter to deal with, Inquisitor. I expect great things from you; far better things than were offered by that sniveling Animus wretch. Do not fail in this, Inquisitor Thanatos, or you will find that I am less forgiving than Lord Vader. I will expect a progress report from you by the end of the month." Retrieving the parcel from Thanatos, Deschain turned about to depart the domicile. His return to his shuttle was imminent; the High Inquisitor had his own plans.

Ilanah listened carefully, waiting until the High Inquisitor left before she got up and placed Caden back in his cradle. It wouldn't take her long to pack his things and get him in his carrier, at which point she took him to her room and started packing her own bag. She had to go, and it had to be sooner rather than later.

Of course, she didn't really remember that she had left him once before when she learned that he was a Force user. Tremaine had told her, but she wasn't sure of it. What she did know, for sure, was that he had lied to her. Her trust was pretty hard to come by most of the time, and at that point, it was just gone.

She loved him still, which was what made it hurt the most.

Giving a nod to the High Inquisitor, Kal would show that he understood what needed to be done. He would not fail in his mission. He, then, would wait for him to leave before rushing upstairs to find his wife.

Upon entering into their room, he would see Lana packing her bag. Kal would pause, curious and confused as to what was going on here. He didn't bother asking what was going on. This had happened once before, and he knew that it had been his fault, yet again.

"You're leaving..." He'd simply state to her as he stood there in the doorway.

Ilanah froze as soon as she heard his voice. Her gaze went to Caden for a moment, who was fast asleep in his carrier. "Do you blame me, Kal?" she murmured, slowly turning from her suitcase, which only had a few items in it. The truth was, she was hesitant to leave. Part of her felt she needed to, to find out more of the truth. Another part of her didn't want to leave him, ever.

"Give me a reason not to." She finally said as she stopped what she was doing. Deep down she hoped he could convince her.

Shaking his head, moving further into the room, Kal knew that he had to chose his words carefully here.

"I don't blame you. Yes, Lana, I lied about certain things. Before you lost your memory, you hated the fact that those things happened. You were the one that convinced me to join the Inquisitorious. Then, before that, me being a Force User wasn't the greatest thing for us either. I saw this as an opportunity for us to kind of have a fresh start, so to speak. I wasn't hiding it from you because it was a secret, I hid that stuff from you because I knew that you'd be a happier person not knowing that stuff. I'm sorry, Lana."

He'd hesitate for a second, letting that sink in before continuing, "I don't want you to leave. You have to know what Tremiane said wasn't the truth either. I would never do anything to hurt you, Lana."

Ilanah considered his words carefully, and in absolute silence for several long moments. She was conflicted, obviously, and didn't try to hide it from him. She had no desire to hide anything from him, which was how she felt a relationship should have been. He must have felt differently. Although if what he said was true, he was just trying to protect her. Her and their son.

"You're right." Ilanah finally said, with a heavy sigh. "You were just trying to protect us from Tremaine." She said before she pushed the suitcase aside and sat on the edge of their bed. "I understand. I think...." Lana continued before she finally looked up to Kal.

"What else do I need to know?"

Watching her movements and studying her emotions, Kal could tell that there was so conflicted feelings about all of this. He'd step further into the room, hoping that she had changed her mind, but he continued on and responded, "You do remember that I was once a Jedi, right?"

Ilanah got up and moved over to him. Hesitantly, she reached a hand up and put her fingertips over the place he had been injured when he was brought to her fathers house all those years ago. "I don't remember a lot. But vaguely." She murmured, not looking at him. Her gaze was focused on where her hand was resting, like she was trying to remember. Of course, she didn't have the power that he did, even though she didn't remember that he had that ability.

He wouldn't know exactly where to begin. He figured that he should fill her in from the beginning, the day they first met. Slowly, Kal began to try and jog her memory, telling her stories and events throughout their time together. If she would remember them or not was another story. He was just hoping that something would end up coming back to her and she'd be able to recall all of the things he was telling her.

It hadn't taken long for him to retell most of their time together, and all of the major events. He was hoping that she had been able to keep up with all he told her.

He'd softly ask, "Do you remember any of that?"

Ilanah didn't remember that she had done this for him once before. Nearly two years prior when he showed up on Imperial Center with nothing but her face in his mind. He remembered quickly though, and now Ilanah was drawing a near blank. There were patchy memories, of course, but nothing solid.

"We maybe shouldn't force it." She finally said. Of course she had looked at the pictures and watched the holo videos, so she knew who she was and who he was, and that was all that really mattered. She knew what was important: her family, and then her job secondly.

"It's fine, anyway. I just wish I could remember all of the good things. Luckily we have the photos and such...." Lana would offer him a small smile and then turn away for a moment. She took her few belongings out of her suitcase and then closed it. "Put that up on the shelf in the closet for me?" she asked as she moved aside to unstrap Caden from his seat.

He would return the smile back to her as she showed one to him. He would extend his hand, grabbing the suitcase and turning to put it up in the closet. Once it was up, he'd turn around, looking back at her, "It'll all come back to you one day. Just takes time and things to remind you of your memories." He'd continue and move to the bed, sitting down, "I am sorry that I didn't tell you what I actually did, or what I am. I just didn't want to scare you..."

When he turned, she disappeared into the adjoining room to put their son back to bed, where he needed to be. Ilanah lingered there for a few minutes, just making sure that everything was alright before she moved back to their room and pulled the door closed, quietly, behind her. She would watch Kal for a moment, almost warily, as she wondered if he was being truthful.

"I'm not sure I care what you are or what you do....I probably should?" She asked, uncertainly.

He would shrug his shoulders to her question, "Honestly, Lana, I think that is up to you. If it doesn't bother you, then don't worry about it. If it does, then we can talk about it. I just don't want you to be afraid of it. You can always talk to me about anything."

He would reassure her, making sure that she knew he still cared for her and was there for her anytime she would need him.
