| Stark breathed a mental sigh of relief knowing that Jendos and Elena were not getting themselves into any trouble. "There's no reason to apologize because you are tired, darling. It's only to be expected with pregnancy. If you feel up to it, we can go down to the store you found. It's up to you if you feel up to it." He kissed her cheek lightly and moved back to look at her. "You're positively beautiful, my love."

| "Ah, my misunderstanding, my love. I apologize. Well, we can most certainly relax here. There's no rush to get back." Stark stretched out so he was more comfortable within the enclosed landspeeder. "So then, I take it overall you had a rather fun day shopping? It seems like it was good for you and your friends to get out. With the wedding up and coming in the next few weeks, I don't imagine there will be all that much time to get out. I do hope you'll forgive me for the times when I must still attend to my duties as representative."

| "Alyn...." Ana started, a somewhat warning tone in her voice. "Shirking your responsibilities because of me is completely unacceptable, we've had this talk." Ana smiled. "You must do what you must do until Senator Lekpin is well again. I understand that, and you know already that I do." She said. Ana understood the political realm all too well in that regard. "But does that mean you will be going to Coruscant before the wedding?" That may have upset her a slight bit, but of course she wouldn't tell him that and possibly keep him from his work.
About then, she spied Elena not far off, which was a bit of a relief. She said nothing about it for the moment, and instead kept her focus of her soon to be husband.

| "I will undoubtedly be visiting Imperial Center at least one more before the wedding. I need to propose a final bill or two within the Senate and I must drop by the corporate headquarters for Stark Defense Conglomerate to check in on things." He could tell it bothered her, but it was a necessary evil, unfortunately. As she put it, he couldn't shirk his duties simply because of their wedding. Catching sight of Jendos and Elena in the distance as well, Stark nodded, mostly to himself. "Representative Lekpin is likely to be voted sector senator from the word I hear."

| Ana said nothing of it, aside from her next few words. "Well, my friends are here and we have several things planned, so you do not fret, and so what you need to do.". She paused and then rested her palm on his chest, just over the pocket where his photo was tucked safely away. "Just be safe and come back to us, alright?"
Ana smiled as people started to pile in the car. "Good.... Everyone here?" She was nearly worn out and quite ready for supper.

| "Of course. There's nothing in the galaxy that could stop me from coming home to you, my love." He placed his hand over hers, knowing the photo lay directly beneath. Once everyone was back in the landspeeder, they'd begin the short trek back to the spaceport, then there to Qatamer and back to Castle Stark, where at Stark's behest, the castle chefs would have a succulent dinner prepared for the guests.

| Ana had sat at the dinner table as long as she could before she excused herself and slipped, hopefully unnoticed, to the rooms she shared with Alyn. She was quite tired and took the at least small amount of time she had alone to stow his humble wedding gift away safely and then hang her new clothing in the closet.
She settled into bed then, as comfortably as she could, and gazed out the window absently at the night sky before she reached for her data pad. There were several things left to do, so she wanted to check her list to see what was left and to cross a few items off. Maybe at the same time, she would check the galaxy news to see what was going on....which turned out to be a horrible mistake.

| Stark had not expected her to find the news so soon. He'd seen it, of course, but it was not something he'd wanted her to find, especially in her condition. When he came to bed, perhaps some twenty minutes after she'd retired, he stripped out of his clothes and changed into something more comfortable before moving to lie beside her. "All in all love, a very productive day indeed, wouldn't you say?"

| "Yes....it was nice." She murmured. "Did you get done what you needed to?" Ana asked, though her tone was rather flat and disconnected. She rolled over to face him, having deposited her data pad back onto the nightstand either from disgust or disinterest or perhaps both.
"I am quite certain we will be fine when you are away. I am quite self reliable, what with being a common maid and all."

| Stark gave a small sigh and fell silent for a moment. "I take it, then, that you saw the article published by the Brentaal Trade News. Quite thoughtless, I might say. Core World folk with their high-and-mighty opinions due to their inbred bloodlines. Don't worry about what some tabloids spout, my love. They're only tabloids. It's their job to pervert anything and everything they can get their hands on. There isn't much they won't touch, I should add. I love you and nobody here thinks any less of you."

| Ana said nothing for several moments, simply let out a low sigh. She used her fingertips and pushed her chestnut hair back from her face and held the silken locks in place for several moments before she released her grip. It was difficult for her to not show him how the words did sting, and how much she worried about ruining his reputation, despite his insistence that it did not matter. Especially since he was no longer head of House of Malos. The fact remained, she still was a commoner. A commoner without family, at that, which made the situation even worse.
When he pregnancy would be announced, likely after their honeymoon (unless somehow it slipped out before; a possibility), it would be worse. Of course she knew Alyn didn't care. He had the ability to let things roll right off of him, like water off of a duck. Ana struggled with that. Her sensitivity was something she had desperately tried to keep in check with Alyn. While she didn't want to lie or hide anything from him, she also didn't want him to have to break down and deal with the basketcase that she could be when she became upset. It simply wasn't fair for her to lay that on him, she felt.
Ana let out a heavy sigh and turned onto her back, staring at the ceiling for several moments. She blinked back some tears, which was difficult, and then made an attempt at a conversation, as rationally as possible. "I wonder what will be said afterwards. Will it just all go away then? Or will it start to affect your business? Your investors or buyers deciding that, perhaps SDC is not the best choice, citing personal reasons and the likes. Everything you do affects your business and your place in the political arena." She said, a fact which she was quite knowledgeable about, having been close to a Senator forany years in the past.
"And then there is announcing our more exciting news. Speculation and accusations will fly left and right, I'm sure. Look at our timetable. I was on Naboo for several weeks and you were not. This baby might not even be yours." Ana told him, quite seriously.

| He considered her words for a long moment, slowly raising his hands to clasp them behind his head while he watched the ceiling. What she said had some merit, at least from his point of view, and from the point of view of the galaxy, it wasn't unheard of for people do do some rather stupid things such as change their investment plans over a marriage, but Stark was still unwilling to allow a little thing like that to stop him.
"Darling, Stark Defense Conglomerate is a necessary creation within the world and I do not see anyone refusing to invest on those grounds, and even so, there are other investors out in the galaxy. The political arena is one I will soon be removed from, so we need not worry about that. And while everything I do may affect me, may affect us, this will blow over with time, I assure you.
"I also have no doubt in my mind that our child is fathered by me. You're not the type to sleep around, darling. I know that much for sure. I care not what accusations come out; a simple parenting test will show proof that I am the father."
