Just as she had left the room to put his things away, there was a beeping noise that rang out from his pocket. He quickly reached into it, pulling out the comlink that was deep within his pocket. Quietly, Kal listened to the message that came across for him. It seemed as if Imperial Intelligence had picked up a message from a possible Jedi sighting. He shook his head as the comlink was slipped back down into his pocket. He would have to leave immediately. There, on the counter, was a pad and a writing utensil. He didn't want to have to do this so soon, but it was his job. On the pad, Kal wrote a note for Lana, telling her that he would be gone for a few days and not to worry about him while he was gone. He would keep in contact as much as possible, but she needed to continue on with her duties as a Senator while he was away.
Once the message had been written, he quickly left. It didn't take him long before he arrived at the hanger bay where his shuttle would be waiting for him. After a few pre-flight checks, the shuttle took off, headed for it destination.
